The basic gist of the story for the non-mechanical engineers out there is that the new M5 is going to be awesome, due in large part to all of the technology put to use in the engine room. And despite the inherent complexity of a 500-hp V10, BMW feels they've paid such incredible attention to every minute aspect that engine maintenance will actually be reduced.
