Venchurs Vehicle Systems has turned its attention toward the full-size truck market. As you may recall, the company produces expedition-ready versions of SUVs like the Toyota FJ Cruiser, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Wrangler, and now truck owners can have their beasts turned into similarly capable Xplore machines. While Venchurs plans to expand to trucks like the Chevrolet Silverado and Ford F-Series in the near future, the company only offers the Xplore Ram for now. Buyers can choose from three stages of off-road prowess depending on their needs.

Stage one starts with custom Katzkin leather seats and a variety of dealer-installed Mopar accessories, while stage two throws in black aluminum wheels wrapped in meaty BF Goodrich tires, adjustable Bilstein 5100 series shocks and a stainless steel cat-back exhaust. Hardier floor mats and smattering of Xplore aluminum badges are also part of the mix.

Stage three lets owners choose from a variety of ARB goodies, including special racks, tent systems and recovery hardware should they find themselves mired. Stage four vehicles are custom built at the Venchurs facility in California, and include special matte-finish paints alongside AMP tricks like power retractable running boards and bed sliders. If you're ready to weather the apocalypse, hit the jump for the full press release.
Continue reading Venchurs Vehicle Systems shows off Xplore truck line

Venchurs Vehicle Systems shows off Xplore truck line originally appeared on Autoblog on Sun, 22 Jan 2012 13:33:00 EST.
It's no secret that our friends at Xplore want you to see the country. The company is dedicated to building rambling rides that will let you venture to our nation's most scenic parks. The newest creation rolling out of the Xplore garage is a trip-ready Toyota 4Runner that's packed with the usual assortment of off-road goodies we've come to expect.

Like all Xplore vehicles, the 4Runner can be equipped in stages. Three stages are available, and they range from an upgraded interior and a few external bolt ons to the expedition-grade 4Runner shown above. The full monty comes with a slew of ARB items such as a winch and front brush guard, as well as a set of Method aluminum wheels, upgraded suspension components and extra beefy BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain tires.

The 4Runner joins the Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Grand Cherokee and Toyota FJ Cruiser in the Xplore lineup. Each time a vehicle is sold, Xplore hands over a portion of the cash to the National Parks Foundation. Besides the keys to the car, you will also enjoy a one-year pass to visit the our National Parks and a subscription to the Xplore Lifestyle Journal, which basically provides you with excuses to go use your new vehicle as much as possible. See all the details in the press release after the break.
Continue reading Xplore plots a course of adventure for the Toyota 4Runner

Xplore plots a course of adventure for the Toyota 4Runner originally appeared on Autoblog on Thu, 11 Aug 2011 09:28:00 EST.
We saw the Xplore FJ Cruiser at SEMA, and then the company appeared in Moab to show off its all-new Xplore Wrangler. Now the adventurous minds at Xplore are ready to pull back the sheet off its latest creation - the Xplore Grand Cherokee.

We're going out on a limb here, but we think this Jeep is Trail Rated. At least it appears that way thanks to the the beefy BFGoodrich Mud Terrain tires wrapped around Method Race wheels. We don't have the official spec sheet just yet, though we know the past Xplore vehicles have been outfitted to handle plenty of tough terrain. The sinister flat paint scheme might not help with Jeep's off-road capability, but it certainly helps give the Xplore Grand Cherokee a darker edge.

As with the rest of the Xplore family of vehicles, the goal behind this vehicle is to promote awareness of our national parks. Xplore wants you to... well, explore. When you purchase an Xplore Grand Cherokee, you're given a one-year pass to America's national parks. You also get a one-year subscription to the Xplore Lifestyle Journal, which talks about the places you should be taking your vehicle. Click past the jump for the full press release, and check out the Xplore Grand Cherokee in the included image gallery.
Continue reading Xplore gets adventurous with Jeep Grand Cherokee

Xplore gets adventurous with Jeep Grand Cherokee originally appeared on Autoblog on Thu, 30 Jun 2011 08:56:00 EST.
We've seen the Xplore Toyota FJ Cruiser at SEMA, and we got a sneak peak of what the company has in store for the Jeep Wrangler. Well, that Wrangler is finished, and Xplore decided the best place to unveil it would be in Moab. Smart decision, seeing that Jeep lovers from all over the country would be descending to that area for Jeep's annual Easter Safari.

Xplore has taken the standard Wrangler and pumped it up a few notches. Offering up to four stages of customization, this Jeep Wrangler has checked nearly all of Xplore's option boxes. Upgrades can be found inside and out, and include custom wheels, a Mopar exhaust and intake setup, Bilstein shocks, Xplore badges and seat embroidery, OME suspension and a host of ARB parts.

As with the FJ Cruiser, the purchase of an Xplore-outfitted vehicle comes with a one-year National Parks and Monuments pass and the Xplore newsletter. A portion of the proceeds received from parts or complete vehicles is donated to the National Parks Foundation. Xplore wants you to explore, and they're putting together vehicles that will get you doing just that. Check out the press release after the break.
Continue reading Xplore Jeep Wrangler hits the trail at the Moab Easter Safari

Xplore Jeep Wrangler hits the trail at the Moab Easter Safari originally appeared on Autoblog on Wed, 04 May 2011 19:25:00 EST.
Xplore is on a mission to roll out more of its Adventure Series vehicles. We previously saw the Xplore FJ Cruiser, and now the company is showing off its plans for the Jeep lineup. Stage 1 packages are available for the entire Jeep family of vehicles while Stage 2, 3 and 4 upgrades are only available for two- and four-door Wranglers.

Details are light on exactly what's being offered at with each stage, but we can speculate that Stage 1 focuses on appearance upgrades, with the supsequent stages offering actual mechanical upgrades. The Stage 4 Xplore H.E.R.O. Jeep Wrangler gets a full gamut of upgraded equipment including OME suspension, locking differentials, IPF lighting, BFGoodrich Mud Terrain T/A KM2 tires and a host of other items.
Our National Parks are American treasures, and one company wants you to get out there and explore them. We saw its first creation, the Xplore Adventure Series FJ Cruiser, at last year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas. That vehicle is going to be auctioned off and the proceeds donated to the National Parks Foundation. Xplore isn't limiting itself to just the FJ Cruiser, however, and parts will soon be available for various Jeep, Ram Truck, Toyota, Ford, GM, Nissan, Honda, Subaru, Hyundai and Kia vehicles.

The parts are available at local dealerships and range from the basic to the burly. Stage one of the Xplore series of parts includes interior upgrades produced with the help of Katzkin. Stage two upgrades feature BFGoodrich off-road tires, aluminum wheels, Bilstein shocks and a Magnaflow stainless-steel cat-back exhaust. If you want to push further into the woods, Stage three bolts on winches, a roof rack, rock rails, a rooftop tent and upgraded lighting. There's also a built-to-order Stage 4 for Jeep and Toyota vehicles, which brings builder TLC into the mix and adds custom paint choices as well as electronic upgrades and expedition-level equipment.

Keeping with the theme of the Xplore name, each Xplore vehicle comes with a one-year National Parks pass, membership in the Xplore club and a subscription to the Xplore Lifestyle magazine.

In an effort to raise awareness about our National Parks, the folks at Xplore Vehicles have teamed up with a host of sponsors to create a SEMA-worthy Toyota FJ Cruiser that's ready for the wilderness. The Xplore FJ employs a TRD supercharger, OME suspension, 17-inch BFG mud terrain tires, a Magnaflow cat-back exhaust, WARN winch and a whole slew of other exterior upgrades. Inside, the FJ is appointed with a Katzkin leather-suede interior with Xplore floor mats and a special dash plaque.

After it's debut at SEMA, the Xplore FJ will be auctioned off early next year with the proceeds being donated to the National Park Foundation. Learn more about this unique off-roader at Xplore's website, and see it from all angles in our high-res gallery below.
