<br />
Was your heart crushed when vehicles like the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/sable">Mercury Sable</a>, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2010/03/05/video-how-did-that-pontiac-grand-prix-end-up-in-a-tree/">Pontiac Grand Prix</a> or <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/durango">Dodge Durango</a> got the axe? Well, fear not - these hot little numbers (and many more!) are still available from dealerships all across the country.<br />
<br />
<em>Automobile</em> magazine has detailed a list of eight cars that are still on sale - brand new - even though they aren't 2010 models. And while these vehicles don't necessarily represent the sexiest cars currently sitting on dealer lots, it's probably safe to assume that they're all being offered with substantial incentive packages, not to mention full warranties (we hope).<br />
<br />
Click through the gallery below to see high-res shots of all eight rides, and head over to <a href="http://www.automobilemag.com/features/news/1003_eight_vehicles_you_probably_didnt_know_you_could_still_buy_new/index.html"><em>Automobile</em></a> to read the full details.<br />

<div align="center"><small style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;">Cadillac's V-Day stunt driving exhibition - <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/15/shanghai-surprise-cadillac-cts-stunt-team-dazzles-in-china-hei/">Click above</a> to watch the video</small><br /></div>
<br />Although things are understandably more than bit somber in General Motors' U.S. operations as of late, over in China, the mood is a bit more upbeat. The evidence? Check out this CTS stunt-driving exhibition held last weekend on Shanghai's Formula One circuit.<br /><br />According to GM's Cadillac Notes blog, some 19,000 fans gathered to watch the show and celebrate the arrival of the CTS-V in China last weekend - this, despite the heat (with temperatures at around 86&deg;, it was reportedly the hottest May 9 in over a century).<br /><br />In any case, the professional Hollywood stunt team delighted the masses, as did GM test engineer supremo John Heinricy, who (aside from apparently <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/11/05/gm-performance-guru-john-heinricy-retires/">not being all-the-way retired)</a>, marked the occasion by setting a record in the CTS-V for the quickest-ever lap (2:32.80) of the course in a production sedan. Heck, even Spider-Man showed up! Check out the high-res hijinks in our below. <em>Thanks for the tip, Scot!</em><br /><br style="font-style: italic;" /><span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;">UPDATE:</span><span style="font-style: italic;"> YouTube video of V-Day added<a height="344" width="425" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/W-_sQPPqwO0&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/W-_sQPPqwO0&amp;hl=en&amp;fs=1" name="movie" href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/15/shanghai-surprise-cadillac-cts-stunt-team-dazzles-in-china-hei/"> after the jump</a>.</span><br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/cadillac-v-day-in-shanghai">Cadillac V-Day in Shanghai</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/cadillac-v-day-in-shanghai/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/3529019258_1c9f5d3e1b_b_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/cadillac-v-day-in-shanghai/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/3529019594_1480d56d0f_b_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/cadillac-v-day-in-shanghai/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/3529019136_d0e430d76a_b_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/cadillac-v-day-in-shanghai/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/3528208187_c999e3e51d_b_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/cadillac-v-day-in-shanghai/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/3529019212_bbcc759384_o_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Sources: <a href="http://cadillac.gmblogs.com/2009/05/13/shanghais-v-day-%E2%80%94-wow/">Cadillac Notes</a>; <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-_sQPPqwO0">YouTube</a>]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/15/shanghai-surprise-cadillac-cts-stunt-team-dazzles-in-china-hei/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Shanghai Surprise: Cadillac CTS stunt team dazzles in China, Heinricy sets F1 track record [*UPDATED w/VIDEO]</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/15/shanghai-surprise-cadillac-cts-stunt-team-dazzles-in-china-hei/">Shanghai Surprise: Cadillac CTS stunt team dazzles in China, Heinricy sets F1 track record [*UPDATED w/VIDEO]</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 15 May 2009 12:28:00 EST. <br />It's not a good time to be any other car in Cadillac's lineup besides the CTS. While the brand's new sedan racks up accolades and fresh converts, the other vehicles wearing a wreath and crest badge stand around like the siblings that didn't grow up to be president. <br /> <br /> Then there's the 556-hp CTS-V, Cadillac's brand new halo car, a role that used to be played by the XLR hardtop convertible. The XLR has a V version, too, but it has only 443 units of whoopass under its hood. It was, however, refreshed for the 2009 model year and can now be found resting comfortably in the shadow created by everyone crowding around the CTS-V. Let's see if the 2009 Cadillac XLR-V deserves its fate in the shade.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-cadillac-xlr-v">Review: 2009 Cadillac XLR-V</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-cadillac-xlr-v/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/00_09cadillacxlrv_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-cadillac-xlr-v/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/02_09cadillacxlrv_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-cadillac-xlr-v/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/01_09cadillacxlrv_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-cadillac-xlr-v/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/03_09cadillacxlrv_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-cadillac-xlr-v/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/04_09cadillacxlrv_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><em><strong><small>All Photos (C) Copyright John Neff / Weblogs Inc.</small></strong></em><span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;" /><span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;"></span><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/29/in-the-autoblog-garage-2009-cadillac-xlr-v/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Review: 2009 Cadillac XLR-V</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/29/in-the-autoblog-garage-2009-cadillac-xlr-v/">Review: 2009 Cadillac XLR-V</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 29 Sep 2008 11:57:00 EST. Well, now we can see the rest of it. XLR.net has gotten hold of several more shots of the halo Caddy in both the standard Platinum trim and in rodded-up V-Series form (above). We were most curious to see the updated interior, but one look is all it takes to see that it's fundamentally unchanged. The gauges simply trade their <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2007-cadillac-xlr-v/638015/">rounder, Bulgari-designed numerals</a> for a look that's in keeping with what you'll find in other Caddys. The steering wheel is also switched out, and the XLR gets the same unit you'll find in the current CTS. Everything else? It's pretty much the same -- nice, but not done up to the level of the less expensive CTS. For that, we'll have to wait for the next XLR, assuming there is a next XLR. <br /><br />We already covered the new grille for the base car in our <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/06/06/2009-cadillac-xlr-refreshed-coming-in-july/">earlier post</a>, as well as the new side vents. The V-Series, however, retains the mesh look in front, as expected. Out back, the XLR Platinum gets a pair of cartoonishly-wide exhaust outlets that appear to be part of the rear bumper cover. The V soldiers on with its Vette-like quad pipes. The XLR is a nice car that turns heads, and the V-Series absolutely hauls ass and sounds great doing it. But $100K (for the V) is a <em>lot </em>to ask for any Cadillac, especially one that still hosts an interior that, while attractive, doesn't meet the high design standard set by the entry-level CTS. <br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-cadillac-xlr">2009 Cadillac XLR and XLR-V</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-cadillac-xlr/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/06/000_09xlrandv_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-cadillac-xlr/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/06/001_09xlrandv_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-cadillac-xlr/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/06/002_09xlrandv_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-cadillac-xlr/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/06/003_09xlrandv_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-cadillac-xlr/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/06/004_09xlrandv_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://xlr-net.com/forums/showthread.php?s=f466040e9c09a01d1f3604bcca69fc79&amp;threadid=2559">XLR Net</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/06/09/pics-aplenty-2009-cadillac-xlr-and-xlr-v/">Pics Aplenty: 2009 Cadillac XLR and XLR-V</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 09 Jun 2008 16:27:00 EST. The range has been winnowed down to the Platinum and the supercharged V-Series. Look for the V-Series hood on all models and revised front and rear fascias with unique grillework for each trim level. The Platinum (above) wears the CTS egg-crate look, while the $100K V-Series presumably soldiers on with the mesh visage that is the V signature. New fender vents have been added, and a number of tweaks have been made to the cars' interiors, including Alcantara headliners, new instrumentation (say good-bye to the Bulgari-designed gauges), and a leather cut-and-sew treatment on the instrument panel. Drivers will also now get Bluetooth connectivity with the car's OnStar package. Look for the new XLRs to hit showrooms in July. Whether you see many on your local streets is another matter; XLRs are a bit of a rarity in most neighborhoods.<br /><br />[Source: Cadillac]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/06/06/2009-cadillac-xlr-refreshed-coming-in-july/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>2009 Cadillac XLR refreshed, coming in July</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/06/06/2009-cadillac-xlr-refreshed-coming-in-july/">2009 Cadillac XLR refreshed, coming in July</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 06 Jun 2008 09:57:00 EST. The freshened nose gets new foglamps and an egg-crate-style grille that stylistically brings it in line with the CTS, STS, DTS and Escalade Platinum front-ends. A tall, metallic-finish side extractor vent has been added to each front fender, as well. Out back, the exhaust still exits from beneath the center of the rear bumper, but on the "base" XLR shown, shapely, integrated widemouth tips now appear to be part of that bumper assembly. We're curious to see whether the XLR's interior also gets an overhaul. While not bad per se, the interior styling of Cadillac's flagship as currently offered falls short of the standard recently set by the entry-level CTS. It would serve GM well to lavish the new-style interior treatment upon the XLR, thus our interest in seeing spy shots of the '09's passenger compartment. (Got that, Brenda?) If the new XLR doesn't do it for you, Cadillac will have the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/03/07/spy-shots-cadillac-cts-coupe-caught-with-no-door-handles/">CTS Coupe</a> along in short order. <br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-cadillac-xlr-v-spy-shots">2009 Cadillac XLR-V - spy shots</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-cadillac-xlr-v-spy-shots/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/04/w_xlr_cd_april08_priddy_02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-cadillac-xlr-v-spy-shots/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/04/w_xlr_cd_april08_priddy_07_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-cadillac-xlr-v-spy-shots/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/04/w_xlr_cd_april08_priddy_05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-cadillac-xlr-v-spy-shots/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/03/w_xlrv_cd_mar08_priddy_01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-cadillac-xlr-v-spy-shots/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/03/w_xlrv_cd_mar08_priddy_04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: Brenda Priddy &amp; Co.]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/04/14/spy-shots-2009-cadillac-xlr-caught-in-the-buff/">Spy Shots: 2009 Cadillac XLR caught in the buff!</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 14 Apr 2008 11:28:00 EST. Cadillac will be having a big European re-launch at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show, showing a bunch of new and revised products. The new 2008 CTS that was unveiled to much praise in Detroit in January will make it's European debut in Geneva. The SRX cross-over has been something of a wallflower for Cadillac since it's initial introduction, gathering little attention or sales. A revised version will debut in Switzerland likely wearing a new grille, similar to the the one that adorns the new CTS, and definitely equipped with the upscale cut-and-sew interior. The SRX also inherits the six-speed automatic from its STS-V and XLR-V brethren.<br /><br />[Source: General Motors]<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-cadillac-cts-1">2008 Cadillac CTS</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-cadillac-cts-1/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/01/cadillac-cts---01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-cadillac-cts-1/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/01/cadillac-cts---06_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-cadillac-cts-1/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/01/cadillac-cts---12_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-cadillac-cts-1/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/01/cadillac-cts---11_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-cadillac-cts-1/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/01/cadillac-cts---10_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/02/19/geneva-preview-cadillac-goes-to-switzerland/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Geneva Preview: Cadillac goes to Switzerland</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/02/19/geneva-preview-cadillac-goes-to-switzerland/">Geneva Preview: Cadillac goes to Switzerland</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 19 Feb 2007 18:28:00 EST. Now, we believe that this emphasis should be the brand standard anyway, and not just a trim package, but if this represents a step towards bringing Cadillac to the next level, where we hope it's headed, then so be it. <br /><br />Available for the XLR, STS and DTS, the Platinum Series trim level sets the cars apart by bestowing them with specific paint colors, badging, and interior appointments. The XLR, for example, sports an exclusive and attractive Liquid Amethyst paint color and healthy doses of chrome added to its grille, bespoke wheels and other trim bits. Climb into the Cashmere leather seats and you'll notice the "Platinum" badging on the doorsill, more wood trim, and hand-stitched leather covering the upper dash and door panels. Unfortunately, based on GM's press release, it appears to stop short of the full-blown "Cut and Sew" interior available on the SRX, but we'll wait until our guys in LA get up close and personal to make that call.<br /><br />Keep reading after the jump for the rundown on the STS and DTS Platinum Series, plus more photos and the official release from GM. <br /><br />[Source: GM]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/11/28/embargoed-la-auto-show-cadillac-xlr-sts-and-dts-platinum-ser/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>LA Auto Show: Cadillac XLR, STS and DTS Platinum Series</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/11/28/embargoed-la-auto-show-cadillac-xlr-sts-and-dts-platinum-ser/">LA Auto Show: Cadillac XLR, STS and DTS Platinum Series</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 28 Nov 2006 12:01:00 EST.
