The change that the Nimnicht Family of Dealerships in Jacksonville, FL is applying to a former Hummer showroom could not be a better sign of the times. The showroom will become the newest dealership for Wheego Electric Cars, offering the full-speed Wheego LiFe and the low-speed Wheego Whip. The new dealership, Wheego of Jacksonville, will display the Wheego vehicles at the Jacksonville International Car & Truck Show on February 8-10, 2013.
Earlier this year, word was that the Wheego Whip was supposed to be available here in the U.S. in May. Looks like July is the new delivery date, so hold on if you want your smart fortwo clone minicar NEV. If you're saying, the "whee-go what now?", the Whip is an all-electric low-speed vehicle that is made in California but based on a platform that comes from China's Shuanghuan Automobile. According to Wheego, there are about 100 pre-orders for the $18,995 not-so-Smart car.
RTEV is ready to take your order for a Wheego Whip low-speed electric vehicle. This sub-$19,000 NEV features remote keyless entry, air conditioning and an mp3 stereo system as standard. The Whip will be available in white, red, blue, black, or silver. Deliveries are scheduled for this May and the Whip should qualify you for a 10 percent federal tax credit on the purchase price. The good news? "When the Whip is eventually certified and sold as a full speed car, the Federal Tax credit will be $7,5
