<br />
<a href="http://autoblog.com/chrysler/">Chrysler</a> has gotten on pretty well in the post-bankruptcy world, with a big assist from its newest master. But while Chrysler has seen dramatic improvement thanks to refreshes and a few new models, the next couple years could be very exciting.<br />
<br />
<em>Automobile Magazine</em> recently got the chance to talk cars with CEO Sergio Marchionne, and the charismatic leader apparently had plenty to say. Among the top headlines are the reported upcoming death of the <a href="http://autoblog.com/dodge/avenger/">Dodge Avenger</a> in 2014 and <a href="http://autoblog.com/dodge/durango/">Dodge Durango</a> in 2016. We're thinking nobody will miss the Avenger, but the Durango sounds like a bit of a bummer.<br />
<br />
That's until we see that the Durango will be replaced by a <a href="http://autoblog.com/tag/wagoneer/">Jeep Wagoneer</a>; a rehash of an old name based on the same platform and engine choices of the Dodge three-row utility. The Durango platform will also spawn the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2012/04/26/maserati-retiring-kubang-concept-ahead-of-production-debut-at-20/">Maserati Kubang</a> (which will likely be named something else), a move that should go a long way toward helping <a href="http://autoblog.com/maserati">Maserati</a> hit 50,000 units per year.<br />
<br />
The Wagoneer is just the tipping point for new Jeeps on the way. Among the other models expected are an all-new <a href="http://autoblog.com/jeep/liberty">Liberty</a> in 2013 followed by a new <a href="http://autoblog.com/jeep/patriot">Patriot</a> in 2014 and a Fiat 500-based subcompact crossover tentatively named Jeepster.<br />
<br />
The Chrysler brand should also look a bit more interesting as the 200 gets re-imagined for 2013 and the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/chrysler/town+and+country/">Town &amp; Country</a> morphs into a crossover in 2015. The Chrysler brand will reportedly also get a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/dodge/dart/">Dodge Dart</a>-based 100 compact, but not until 2016 or later, which seems like a long way off.<br />
<br />
Among the other interesting vehicles expected to bow are as many as six <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/alfa-romeo/">Alfa Romeo</a> models including the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/alfa+romeo+4c/">4C Coupe</a>, the next <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/mito/">MiTo</a>, the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/Giulietta/">Giulietta</a> and an unnamed crossover. And then there will be a smattering of new <a href="http://autoblog.com/fiat/500">Fiat 500</a> models including the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/500L/">500L</a> and the XL, which will reportedly feature seating for up to seven.<br />
<br />
The SRT lineup will also be getting a sheetmetal injection with the addition of the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2012/01/31/dodge-working-on-300-hp-dart-srt4/">Dart SRT4</a> and the Journey SRT6. Now if Sergio Marchionne can make the <a href="http://autoblog.com/dodge/journey">Journey</a> exciting, he'll be up for auto executive of the decade.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2012/06/05/dodge-durango-avenger-models-will-be-discontinued-srt-model-fo/">Dodge Durango, Avenger models will be discontinued, SRT model for Journey planned</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 05 Jun 2012 10:00:00 EST. Enzo Ferrari pulled out of the deal at the last moment, angering Ford II so badly that he went on to fund development of the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_GT40#History">legendary GT40</a> that went on to take many motorsports victories.<br /><br />A few years later, Mr. Ferrari pissed off yet another powerfully rich American businessman with the outcome being the automotive abomination you see before you. Bill Harrah of Harrah's Casino fame asked Ferrari to construct for him an Italian 4X4 wearing the prancing horse badge. While no one thought to archive the response from Ferrari, we imagine it involved the words 'hell' and 'no'. In Italian, of course.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ferrai-jeep-jerrari/800239/"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" align="right" alt="" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/05/jerrari_logo_051108.jpg" /></a>Undeterred and with more money than taste, Harrah created the Jerrari. Its ass-end is a 1970 <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeep_Wagoneer">Jeep Wagoneer</a>, the nose is from a 1969 <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ferrari_365">Ferrari 365GT</a>. On the day of its birth, this one-of-a-kind offroading Ferrari sported V12 power, but now all four wheels are turned by a 350 V8. <br /><br />The <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jerrari-Harrahs-Custom-Jeep-with-Ferrari-365-GT_W0QQitemZ130221205611QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item130221205611">eBay auction</a> for this abomination includes numerous pieces of <a href="http://www.leftcoastclassics.com/1969_Jerrari/articles/index.html">documentation</a>, like a 1971 review of the car by "Road &amp; Track." Another is a letter from a previous seller in 1984 that indicates there could be more than one of these hideous creations out there. Maybe <span style="font-style: italic;">that's</span> what's been starting all these <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/07/ferrari-suv-reportedly-has-codename-f151-concept-coming-in-2010/">rumors</a>.<br /><br />Watch a walk-around video of the Jerrari after the jump, and check out an extensive <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ferrai-jeep-jerrari/">gallery of photos</a> below.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ferrai-jeep-jerrari">Ferrai + Jeep = Jerrari</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ferrai-jeep-jerrari/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/05/jerrari_051108_---01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ferrai-jeep-jerrari/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/05/jerrari_051108_---02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ferrai-jeep-jerrari/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/05/jerrari_051108_---03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ferrai-jeep-jerrari/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/05/jerrari_051108_---04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/ferrai-jeep-jerrari/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/05/jerrari_051108_---05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Jerrari-Harrahs-Custom-Jeep-with-Ferrari-365-GT_W0QQitemZ130221205611QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item130221205611">eBay</a>, <a href="http://www.leftcoastclassics.com/1969_Jerrari/">Left Coast Classics </a>via <a href="http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2008/05/jerrari-suv-ferrari-365-gt-jeep.html">CarScoop</a>]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/05/12/ebay-find-of-the-day-the-jerrari/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>eBay Find of the Day: The Jerrari</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/05/12/ebay-find-of-the-day-the-jerrari/">eBay Find of the Day: The Jerrari</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 12 May 2008 08:57:00 EST. The Trail Rated off-roader is intended to provide a means for transporting four people off-road, and the three-panel removable glass roof allows the rock-crawling to commence with the open sky above. A chopped roofline and fat fender flares almost give it a low-slung appearance, and the interior shows off some clever touches such as rear-mounted speakers that dismount to provide portable audio. <br /><br />This concept would probably make more sense if Jeep hadn't just released the Wrangler Unlimited, a user-friendly way (at least when compared to previous Wranglers) to accomplish the same task.<br /><br />Check out the new <strong><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/jeep-trailhawk-concept/">updated gallery</a></strong> with all of today's live shots. <br /><br /><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/jeep-trailhawk-concept/128673/"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/01/jeep-trailhawk---09_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/jeep-trailhawk-concept/128672/"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/01/jeep-trailhawk---07_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/jeep-trailhawk-concept/128668/"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/01/jeep-trailhawk---08_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/jeep-trailhawk-concept/128674/"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/01/jeep-trailhawk---03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/jeep-trailhawk-concept/128679/"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/01/jeep-trailhawk---15_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" /></a><br /><br /><strong>For our comprehensive listing of everything from Detroit, click <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/01/07/detroit-auto-show-debuts-and-galleries/">here</a>.</strong><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/01/08/detroit-auto-show-jeep-trailhawk-offers-open-air-off-roading-fo/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Detroit Auto Show: Jeep Trailhawk offers open-air off-roading for four</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/01/08/detroit-auto-show-jeep-trailhawk-offers-open-air-off-roading-fo/">Detroit Auto Show: Jeep Trailhawk offers open-air off-roading for four</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 08 Jan 2007 18:42:00 EST. It's a HEMI-powered 2004 Dodge Durango chassis that's been shortened and strengthened wearing the body of a 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer - early SUV looks with late model technology and capability. The Durangoneer was built as a project car for Popular Mechanics and was apparently at this year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas, but we must've walked right by it. It's understandable, though, since it takes a few seconds to realize you're not actually looking at an '88 Wagoneer. The Durangoneer is being auctioned off next month at <a href="http://www.rmauctions.com/index.cfm">RM Auction's</a> annual "<a href="http://www.rmauctions.com/Default.cfm?SaleCode=AZ07">Vintage Motor Cars in Arizona</a>" auction on January 19th. What's more, any cash this thing brings in over and above $35,000 will be donated to the <a href="http://www.wish.org/">Make-A-Wish Foundation</a>. <br /><br />Follow the jump for more pics and a press release that contains additional info on the Duragoneer.<br /><br />[Source: RM Auctions]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/12/18/auction-action-2006-durangoneer-on-the-block/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Auction Action: 2006 Durangoneer on the block</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/12/18/auction-action-2006-durangoneer-on-the-block/">Auction Action: 2006 Durangoneer on the block</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 18 Dec 2006 19:26:00 EST. In 2002, Flickr user TennesseeWagon's requirements were simple: he wanted an all-original Grand Wagoneer with low miles, no rust, and in running condition. $2,500 and one sketchy used car salesman later, he had his ride. The white '88 Grand Wagoneer was the fulfillment of a dream, as he had coveted one of the classic luxo-SUVs ever since he first set eyes on one.<br /><br />And the car remains with him today. TennesseeWagon hasn't made any mods or upgrades to the truck, as he wants to keep it as original as possible. After all, he says, it's perfect right out of the box, so why mess with it? All the work he's performed are standard repairs or cosmetic fixes.The big Jeep lives in the garage alongside a '98 Wrangler that acts as a daily driver. If TennesseeWagon needs to tow his boat (which he says you can't even see behind the Wagoneer) or haul a bunch of friends, the 360 V8 gets fired up and out it goes. <br /><br />Some rides remain stylish forever. This is one of them, and it was an easy pick for today's Reader Ride of the Day. Follow the jump for two more shots of it.<br /><br /><span style="font-style: italic;">As mentioned previously, we won't be having a theme for this week's RR of the Day, but next week, it's on. Submit your turbocharged and supercharged vehicles to our Flickr pool by following the directions after the jump. We want to see them all, whether it's a home-brewed Civic hatch or a modded Cummins diesel, all are welcome </span><br /><span style="font-style: italic;"> during Forced Induction Week</span>.<span style="font-style: italic;"></span><br style="font-style: italic;" /><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/11/29/rr-of-the-day-1988-jeep-grand-wagoneer/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>RR of the Day: 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/11/29/rr-of-the-day-1988-jeep-grand-wagoneer/">RR of the Day: 1988 Jeep Grand Wagoneer</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 29 Nov 2006 14:41:00 EST.
