<br />
Spike TV has opened up the voting for its Video Game Awards, and the finalists are down to four: DiRT 2, Need for Speed: Shift, Forza Motorsport 3, and Gran Turismo PSP. It's a bit of a motley list, but then again it's been a motley year for driving games, and we're still waiting for a vision of the unicorn otherwise known as Gran Turismo 5. If you want to vote, <a href="http://www.spike.com/event/vga2009/page/vote/category/34757">cast your ballot on Spike's site</a>. If you need a refresher because you insist on being an informed voter, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/11/20/spike-announces-nominees-for-best-driving-game-of-the-year/#continued">follow the jump</a> and check out some gameplay.<br />

<br /> The folks who have crafted Gran Turismo for Sony's PSP have put together an opening movie sequence, and as you might imagine, it is chock full of supercars. And we mean bursting-at-its-pixelated-seams with just about every hot car you could ever want to drive on the road, the dirt, and the track. <br /><br />The rendered moments are drop dead (especially for a handheld), but even the gameplay intercuts look pretty sweet. <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/09/29/video-gran-turismo-psp-opening-movie-here-come-the-supercars/">Click through to the jump</a> and check it out - it will give you something to until GT5 comes out. <em>Thanks for the tip, Will!<br /> </em><br /> [Source: <a href="http://us.gran-turismo.com/us/tv/d5056.html">GranTurismo.com</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/09/29/video-gran-turismo-psp-opening-movie-here-come-the-supercars/">VIDEO: Gran Turismo PSP opening movie - Here come the supercars</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 29 Sep 2009 13:00:00 EST. <div style="text-align: center;"><em><strong><small>Ferrari love in Forza Motorsport 3 -- Click above for high-res image gallery</small></strong></em></div>
<br />
There are 29 Ferraris in Forza Motorsport 3, from the 1964 Ferrari 250 GTO to today's 599 GTB. And just for good measure, the kind folks at Forza threw in a few dream(ier) rides, including modern FIA GT cars, as well as the F40 and F50 Competizione models. You want more? Done. You'll be able to download the all-new <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/Ferrari458Italia/">Ferrari 458 Italia</a> just in time for the holidays.<br />
<br />
Ah, but what if you don't have an XBox? If you're one of the scores of devoted Gran Turismo fans, you won't be left out in the cold. Polyphony Digital is also including the brand new Fezza in GT5, and in an apparent game of one-upmanship, the GT camp and the Forza family have released their own Ferrari teasers. Check out all three videos after the jump and get another eye-full in the Forza gallery below.<br />

<br />
For the first time in a long time, we sat down and played a racing game the other night. Fine, it wasn't a racing game -- it was the <a href="http://www.virtualgt.com/">VirtualGT racing simulator</a>. What did we learn? Georgia ought to pass a law against letting us onto Road Atlanta in a Porsche 997 Cup car. Also, instead of sitting on our buddy's couch and stuffing our face with Collisions: Pizza Cravers and Ranch flavored Doritos (a real flavor -- <a href="http://www.fritolay.com/our-snacks/doritos-pizza-cravers-ranch.html">we swear!</a>) while mindlessly hitting everything on the streets of Monaco in <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/GT4/">GT4</a>, being in a race cabinet (and having a Cup instructor barking instructions in our ear) allowed us to pop off a 1:43 run around a 2.54 mile course. Not too terrible. And we're totally <em>sure</em> the cabinet added a second or two. Ahem.<br />
<br />
Sadly, those high-falutin' racing rigs cost a fortune -- $18k at the low end, and that's without a display of any sort. You'd have to be a Porsche Cup racer to afford one. Not so fast, say our pals over at <em>0-60</em>. In fact, they built a cabinet for Need For Speed: Shift and they're calling it the D.I.Y. R-Cade. First of all, how much will it cost you? $500, minus all the electronic stuff (which you probably already own anyhow). How long does it take? Not sure, but there are about 60 pages of instructions. We figure pretty long. Still, the end result is pretty cool looking, <em>and</em> you'd have your own racing cabinet. <br />

If we could take anything from the demonstration, it's that Ken Block looks to be just as badass when driving on the other side of the car. <span style="float: left; margin-right: 10px; margin-top: 7px;"><script> digg_url = 'http://digg.com/gaming_news/New_Racing_Game_Announced_For_Sega_Dreamcast_w_vid'; </script> <script src=" http://digg.com/api/diggthis.js"></script></span>Hypothetically, let's say you're bored with all the realistic gameplay and endless tuning options of current racing games. What you really want is a rallying game that looks like it was released alongside Pole Position, or Frogger, with cars that look something like colored insects, and -- best of all -- that you can only play from an overhead view. In that case, friends, Rush Rush Rally Racing for the 10-year-old Sega Dreamcast is for you.<br />
<br />
The developers themselves tout the facts that RRRR has no sponsored cars nor realistic backgrounds. What is does have is features like single-player grand prix mode with four difficulty levels, three multiplayer modes to enjoy with up to four players, five race cars to choose from, 10 Grand Prix race tracks and 9 additional multiplayer race track. Oh, and an "awesome soundtrack by Black Device." So there. <br />
Need for Speed: Shift has added a Car Battle mode that pits some of the fastest, fittest, downright nastiest machinery out there in head-to-head matchups. Fifteen different matchups are possible with cars like the Ford GT going against the Dodge Viper, Cayman and M3 sports car racers battling it out, and Murcielago and DBRS GT-class cars going for honors. The point is to pit unmodified cars against one another to find out which car -- and which driver -- is the business. The game is due out next week. <br />
<a href="http://www.joystiq.com/tag/Forza-Motorsport-3/">Forza Motorsport 3</a> developer Turn 10 Studios has decided to share some exclusive video footage with Autoblog (and our sister site <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/09/02/forza-3-welcomes-1000-horsepower-bugatti-veyron-supercar/">Joystiq</a>) that features one of our favorite cars: the Bugatti Veyron. When the game is released, you'll be able to take the wheel of the world's most expensive 'bug' without having to drop $1.6 million large. And of course, you'll get to customize it all you like. Take that, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/08/15/monterey-2009-bugatti-grand-sport-sang-bleu-live-from-the-quail/">Sang Bleu</a>... <br />
<br />
Said Turn 10 head Dan Greenawalt, "Including the Veyron allows our fans and community to experience one of the world's rarest supercars at an unparalleled level of realism. Few people will ever get to see this car in person, let alone race or drive one, so the fact that we have it in Forza Motorsport 3 where it's fully drivable, tunable, paintable and even damageable is a very exciting concept to us. We hope our community shares that passion and enthusiasm!"<br />
<br />
Damaging the Veyron in the game wouldn't be as bad as overcooking the real thing into the Armco, but we still recommend against it. However, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/model/veyron">having driven the thing twice</a>, we can say that if you can get the actual Veyron to lay down rubber or drift through corners, then please give us a call - we have a trophy for you... <br />
If you've been trying to raise your high score on that iPhone or iPod Touch racing game but you just can't get your chi going without a steering wheel, this baby could be for you. Made by CTA Digital, you clip the phone into a holder, clip the holder into the wheel, and channel your Herr Schumacher. <br />
<br />
Splurge for the top-of-the-line model and the wheel is attached to a suction cup by an adjustable arm, and you can go past Schumi straight to Kwai Chang Caine -- that's straight up Kung Fu badness. We won't mention how it might make you look, but you're not worried about that, are you? In case you're wondering, though, you can get a glimpse in the video <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/08/10/steering-wheel-for-the-iphone/">after the jump</a>. <span style="font-style: italic;">Hat tip to James</span><br />

That game didn't get a chance to honor the 1995 WRC champion, but the game's sequel, <a href="http://www.codemasters.com/games/?gameid=2996&amp;format=PS3">DiRT 2</a>, will make up for that. In addition to a host of off-road events that you can run in a variety of off-road vehicles, there will be a Colin McRae Memorial Cup that you can qualify for. Other drivers in the game will also be heard talking about McRae, and he is "the central figure in the narrative." As a step to pay tribute it is commendable, and it's good to see that Mr. McRae hasn't been forgotten.<br /><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/06/18/dirt-2-tips-its-hat-to-the-late-colin-mcrae/">Joystiq</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/21/dirt-2-will-honor-colin-mcrae-in-game/">DiRT 2 will honor Colin McRae in-game</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Sun, 21 Jun 2009 09:35:00 EST. <br />With many worried that government regulations will soon strangle the concept of having fun in an actual car, it's convenient that game makers are developing more ways to have fun with virtual cars. SEGA is updating that old arcade classic OutRun with the latest in automaker metal, and the new game will arrive as OutRun Online Arcade on XBox Live Arcade and the Euro-version PlayStation Network. <br /><br />Up to six players can play three different modes on 15 U.S. tracks while driving any of ten Ferraris, which is a much better selection than the original's only option: a Ferrari Testarossa convertible. But even <em>Formula D</em> doesn't offer you this: "If you impress your girlfriend enough in Heart Attack Mode, you will receive special requests." Okay... For U.S. customers, the game will be out June 30th on XBox Live Arcade, but for now you can check out gameplay video of this updated oldie <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/24/video-segas-classic-outrun-returning-on-xbox-live/">after the jump</a>.<br /><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/03/08/sega-reveals-sleek-new-outrun-online-arcade-footage/">Joystiq</a>]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/24/video-segas-classic-outrun-returning-on-xbox-live/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>VIDEO: Sega's classic OutRun returning on XBox Live </em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/24/video-segas-classic-outrun-returning-on-xbox-live/">VIDEO: Sega's classic OutRun returning on XBox Live </a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 24 Mar 2009 19:57:00 EST. <br />Any day of the week between 10 PM and 12 AM EST, you can probably find me on Xbox Live playing <em>GRiD</em> (FYI... my gamer tag is simply Autoblog), and Autoblog Executive Editor Chris Paukert often jumps in for the fun as well. We love this driving game from Codemasters for its balance of accuracy and arcade-style fun. <em>GRiD</em>, however, may have some new competition from a franchise we thought, based on its recent spate of titles, was on its way out. As we reported last month, the <em>Need for Speed</em> franchise is being <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/02/need-for-speed-franchise-splitting-into-trio/">split into a trio of games</a>: one for the consoles called <em>Need for Speed SHIFT</em>, a free one for PCs called <em>Need for Speed World Online</em> and a Wii-exclusive version called <em>Need for Speed: Nitro</em>. <br /><br />Joystiq recently had time to <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/03/04/joystiq-hands-on-need-for-speed-shift/">play an early version</a> of <em>Need for Speed SHIFT</em> and came away mighty impressed. "The game is 95% pure racing simulation, with a bit of arcade feel thrown in," is how they described it. What may set NFS Shift apart from similar games like <em>GRiD</em> and the <em>Project Gotham Racing</em> series is its interior view. Developers specifically designed the game to be played using the interior view, though other outside-the-car views are available. As such you get things like reflections of the driver in the side windows and - get this - the driver actually clutches the wheel harder during tricky maneuvers. There's also an effect at high speeds that blurs the screen so all your focus is on the track. <br /><br />Joystiq only got to play two tracks using a Pagani Zonda and we're still in the dark about which tracks will be featured in the game and what the list of playable vehicles will be, but the early word is that Paukert and I may be playing a new game on Xbox Live very soon.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/need-for-speed-shift/low/">Need for Speed SHIFT</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/need-for-speed-shift/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/06/nfs_shift_5_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/need-for-speed-shift/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/06/nfs_shift_4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/need-for-speed-shift/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/06/nfs_shift_7_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/need-for-speed-shift/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/06/nfs_shift_6_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.joystiq.com/photos/need-for-speed-shift/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.joystiq.com/media/2009/06/nfs_shift_2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.joystiq.com/2009/03/04/joystiq-hands-on-need-for-speed-shift/">Joystiq</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/06/next-grid-joystiq-gets-hands-on-with-need-for-speed-shift/">Next GRiD? <br />System 3 has a follow-up title to last year's <em>Ferrari Challenge: SuperCar Challenge</em>. The new game will offer 40 cars to choose from, not all of which are Ferraris this team. The roster will include such cars as the Aston Martin DBR9, Lamborghini Murcielago RGT, McLaren F1, Maserati MC12 and, of course, a supercar or two from Maranello like the Ferrari FXX. You'll be able to race them on 20 real and fictitious tracks and the graphics of each car have been improved with better polygon counts, texture details and buffing. Multiplayer capability can link 16 drivers at once, sim players will get good handling and tuning options, and there'll be an arcade mode for folks who just want to tear up the pavement. The AI has also been redesigned to be more consistent, and there's a "Legendary" AI setting meant to challenge the best drivers. <br /><br />It will be available exclusively for the PS3 this Spring. <br />When playing car racing video games, do you find yourself choosing vehicles or brands that you've owned in the past? We are definitely guilty as charged on this count, but it seems that this sort of logic works the other way too. People that play popular games like <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/gt5">Gran Turismo</a> and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/pgr4/">Project Gotham Racing</a> have shown an affinity towards real-life vehicles that they used in the gaming realm. Subaru WRX or Mitsubishi Evolution anyone?<br /><br /><em>Financial Post</em> researchers recently conducted a brief study that put people in front of gaming consoles running car racing simulators. Other people were placed in separate rooms where the games were being broadcast, but not played. Afterward, both groups were surveyed, and the results were eye opening. Those that played the video games responded that they were 50% more likely to purchase vehicles that they used in the video games than those that just watched.<br /><br />Sure, these results don't necessarily prove anything, but <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/03/citroen-gt-concept-now-available-on-gt5-prologue/">automakers</a> and advertisers have certainly taken notice. Current estimates put the in-game advertising market at $1.8 billion within the next few years.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/gran-turismo-5-prologue-2/low/">Gran Turismo 5 Prologue</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/gran-turismo-5-prologue-2/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/03/09_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/gran-turismo-5-prologue-2/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/03/08_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/gran-turismo-5-prologue-2/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/03/07_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/gran-turismo-5-prologue-2/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/03/006_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/gran-turismo-5-prologue-2/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/03/tamora_006_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.financialpost.com/executive/story.html?id=1222045">Financial Post</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/09/study-says-driving-cars-in-video-games-builds-positive-brand-rel/">Study suggests driving cars in video games could lead to more purchases in real-life</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 09 Feb 2009 16:56:00 EST. <br />Imagine riding along in your family's car as a kid. Your hand is out the window and slicing through the air as you explore the concepts of drag and lift. As a child you might work that hand to rise and fall around the objects on the horizon, dodging treetops and ducking below bridges in the distance. Some German students apparently had this experience, and now they've taken that basic premise and added more cowbell. The result is Carcade, a scrolling video game concept that uses a webcam and laptop to scan the view out your car window and use it as the interactive background for a spaceship adventure. It recognizes and uses the objects in the view out your window as obstacles, instantly incorporating them into the action. It even adjusts game play speed according to vehicle speed. It's all pretty amazing work by the crew of Andreas Nicolas Fischer, Martin Kim Luge and Korbinian Polk. Watch the Carcade demo <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/08/carcade-concept-turns-passengers-view-into-video-game/">after the jump</a> and let us know if you wouldn't have liked to waste away your family's road trip playing this game.<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/08/carcade-concept-turns-passengers-view-into-video-game/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Carcade concept turns passenger's view into video game</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/08/carcade-concept-turns-passengers-view-into-video-game/">Carcade concept turns passenger's view into video game</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 08 Oct 2008 19:28:00 EST. <br />The day is here, the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/30/how-you-say-enough-in-french-citroen-releases-sixth-gt-teaser/">GTbyCitroen</a> has got over its shyness and is ready to be seen by the world. Par for the French, the GT is funky -- and we're not even going to get into the <em>seventh</em> teaser for the car in which the car was <em>completely covered</em>. Contrary to the rakishness of its looks, it's also fairly slow. The 3,000-pound two-seater takes a virtual 3.6 seconds to get to a virtual 62 mph, and that's with a 646 digital ponies boosted by an additional 136 hydrogen-powered horses. As for the design, if you're wondering what that rear overhang is about, the phrase you're looking for is "retinal persistence." Yeah. You can find more explanations like that and a whole lot more in the press release after the jump, and the gallery of high-res photos below.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/paris-2008-gtbycitroen-live/low/">Paris 2008: GTbyCitroen Live</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/paris-2008-gtbycitroen-live/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/10/01cit-gt_parlv_08__thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/paris-2008-gtbycitroen-live/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/10/02cit-gt_parlv_08__thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/paris-2008-gtbycitroen-live/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/10/03cit-gt_parlv_08__thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/paris-2008-gtbycitroen-live/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/10/04cit-gt_parlv_08__thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/paris-2008-gtbycitroen-live/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/10/05cit-gt_parlv_08__thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/gtbycitroen/low/">GTbyCitroen</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/gtbycitroen/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/10/01cit-gt_parispr_08__thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/gtbycitroen/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/10/02cit-gt_parispr_08__thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/gtbycitroen/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/10/03cit-gt_parispr_08__thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/gtbycitroen/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/10/04cit-gt_parispr_08__thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/gtbycitroen/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/10/05cit-gt_parispr_08__thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/02/paris-2008-the-gt-by-citroen-no-the-whole-thing-this-time/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Paris 2008: The GT by Citroen. <br />In a move more "Um, yeah..." than "Oh yeah!", Citroen has released the sixth teaser image of the car that will, one of these days, be revealed entirely to the world, all at once, front and back. We aren't even sure if this qualifies as a tease, since getting a glimpse at a front end we've already seen doesn't really ring the bell. What we can say is that one of our commenters appears to be right: the car does look like it's only 10 inches high. Relive the magic of the slowest reveal ever in the gallery of high-res photos below.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sony-citroen-gt-teaser/low/">Sony/Citroen GT Teaser</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sony-citroen-gt-teaser/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/citr_gt_6_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sony-citroen-gt-teaser/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/citrogtcap03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sony-citroen-gt-teaser/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/citrogtcap06_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sony-citroen-gt-teaser/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/citrogtcap05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sony-citroen-gt-teaser/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/citrogtcap04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.4wheelsnews.com/citroen-releases-6th-teaser-of-the-gt-concept/">4 Wheels News</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/30/how-you-say-enough-in-french-citroen-releases-sixth-gt-teaser/">How you say "enough" in French: Citroen releases sixth GT teaser</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 30 Sep 2008 10:57:00 EST. <br />Citroen has let slip another drip in the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/citroen+gt/">GT by Citroen</a> reveal, and this time it's a video showing off the dramatic shapes of "The Drive of Your Life." Dig those mirrors, and the glasshouse swept back in monumental fashion. Whatever is pushing the car's massive rims apparently needs a lot of air, with two raked scoops behind the canopy and two more on the sides ahead of the rear wheels. And the rear end of the car looks like -- dare we say it -- a tail... It's Mach 5 if the car comes together like we expect, or platypus if it doesn't. The <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/ParisMotorShow/">Paris Motor Show</a> reveal is in but a few days, and you can mark us down as officially excited. Check out the video after the jump and more teaser pics in the gallery below. <span style="font-style: italic;">Thanks for the tip, Nick!</span><br /><br /> <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sony-citroen-gt-teaser/low/">Sony/Citroen GT Teaser</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sony-citroen-gt-teaser/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/citr_gt_6_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sony-citroen-gt-teaser/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/citrogtcap03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sony-citroen-gt-teaser/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/citrogtcap06_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sony-citroen-gt-teaser/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/citrogtcap05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sony-citroen-gt-teaser/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/citrogtcap04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.gran-turismo.com/jp/movie/d2612.html">Gran Turismo</a>]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/29/video-and-new-pics-citroen-gt-in-stereoscopic-darkness/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>VIDEO and new PICS: Citroen GT in stereoscopic darkness</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/29/video-and-new-pics-citroen-gt-in-stereoscopic-darkness/">VIDEO and new PICS: Citroen GT in stereoscopic darkness</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 29 Sep 2008 12:59:00 EST. <br />The cloak on the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/23/once-more-with-feeling-citroen-releases-third-gt-teaser/">GT by Citroen</a> has been pulled back again to reveal a little more sheetmetal. Call us crazy, but we have the feeling this car is going to put the "Whoa, that's wild..." back into concept cars. This little corner shows off two vastly different personalities: look at the center structure and it could be any pleasant Frenchmobile -- a 2CV even; scan out to the sides, and it's got the kind of vicious appendages of a predator. Then there's that diffuser hanging out there like an arctic steppe, mirrors that are 18 inches long, and a tapered rear end that can't possibly stay planted without some aero aid on scaffolding. For all we know, the car could be hiding nine or ten other personalities, as well. We can't wait to see it.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sony-citroen-gt-teaser/low/">Sony/Citroen GT Teaser</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sony-citroen-gt-teaser/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/citr_gt_6_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sony-citroen-gt-teaser/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/citrogtcap03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sony-citroen-gt-teaser/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/citrogtcap06_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sony-citroen-gt-teaser/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/citrogtcap05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sony-citroen-gt-teaser/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/citrogtcap04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.zercustoms.com/news/Citroen-GT-front-end.html">ZerCustoms</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/25/more-intensity-4th-citroen-gt-teaser-image/">More intensity: 4th Citroen GT teaser image</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 25 Sep 2008 14:55:00 EST.
