According to <em>Car</em> magazine, the Vantage will get some engineering tweaks and its engine capacity will grow by almost half a liter, to 4733-cc. A year ago Aston merely fiddled with the ECU on the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/09/11/frankfurt-2007-waiting-for-our-inheritance-part-1-aston-mart/">N400</a> and found 20 extra horses. We hope an even more plump double digit number comes with this kind of growth in displacement. The cabin is also expected to receive a polish, with things like the Ford key -- and perhaps the Volvo switches -- being kicked out of the old boy club. A face-lifted range of DB9s is also expected. All of these changes leads us to our one request for Aston, please be careful with what is already perfection. We've selected the most choice high-res images of the V8 Vantage from Aston Martin's media website and assembled them in a gallery below. Enjoy and don't drool on your keyboard.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/aston-martin-v8-vantage">Aston Martin V8 Vantage</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/aston-martin-v8-vantage/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/12/56626ast_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/aston-martin-v8-vantage/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/action41_46456a44-942d-4888-a300-f80473dbb2d3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/aston-martin-v8-vantage/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/static11_cdb49a00-7861-43b6-82b1-b3984a927f51_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/aston-martin-v8-vantage/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/v8_vantage_action09_587b6ae3-ad66-4559-a5f8-92fdb200d2b8_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/aston-martin-v8-vantage/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/v8_vantage_static01_6102c41e-c2a2-47b4-8f02-352f28d76fe1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/aston-martin-n400-v8-vantage">Aston Martin N400 V8 Vantage</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/aston-martin-n400-v8-vantage/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/11/am_n400_hi_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/aston-martin-n400-v8-vantage/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/11/content_allsites_images_amav8v102_roadster_300dpi_a9e6c981-ed9c-45bd-9d72-b5fa8de52b5a_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/aston-martin-n400-v8-vantage/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/11/content_allsites_images_amv8v095_300dpi_282e511b-7a69-4c71-9134-a3b3cc169050_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/aston-martin-n400-v8-vantage/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/11/content_allsites_images_amv8v096_300dpi_40e582c9-df3b-49ab-a271-1d7497be43aa_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/aston-martin-n400-v8-vantage/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/11/n400roadster---4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.carmagazine.co.uk/Secret-new-cars/Search-Results/Spyshots/Aston-Martins-new-V8-Vantage/?&amp;R=EPI-5586">Car</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/02/22/updated-aston-martin-v8-vantage-with-more-power-coming-to-geneva/">Updated Aston Martin V8 Vantage with more power coming to Geneva</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 22 Feb 2008 14:31:00 EST. Most are motivated by the joy of being first, while others are motivated by the almighty dollar. In our minds, the jury is still out on these prospect buyers and the morality of their motivations, but whatever the market will endure is fine by us.<br /><br />However, this automotive crapshoot is not without its risks, as evidenced by the over abundance of Aston Martin V8 Vantages flooding the used car market across the pond. The supposed 911-fighter was expected to have a two- to three-year waiting list, but according to <em>4Car</em>, Autotrader is listing over 50 Vantages, with prices ranging from &pound;80-90k depending on what marks were checked off in the options menu. This, coupled with a quicker-than-expected production schedule for new vehicles, is causing speculation buyers to sit on their vehicles for longer periods of time.<br /><br />As this same trend has played itself out numerous times before (the first Miata and the Cayman come to mind), what's your take on prospect buying? Your opinions can find a voice in 'comments.'<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/08/19/aston-martin-speculators-are-losing-out/">Aston Martin speculators are losing out</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Sat, 19 Aug 2006 10:08:00 EST. This would explain why the company is planning to put into limited production the exact same car that completed the recent 24 Hours of N&uuml;rburgring. The actual race car finished 24th overall at N&uuml;rburgring amidst a field of dedicated racing machines. That's quite an accomplishment considering Aston's entry was completely stock except for a safety cage, special fuel tank and fire system, a racing seat and built-in air jacks. The N&uuml;rburgring Vantage V8 will be identical to the car that competed at the actual Ring in June, which means customers will be able to drive their car to the track and on the track, just like Aston did with the actual race car. Aston has not said how many it will produce, nor what the Nurburgring Vantage V8 will cost, but considering the modifications aren't that extensive we're being told it shouldn't be much more than the standard production car's price of &pound;82,800. <br /><br />[Source: Aston Martin]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/07/18/aston-to-sell-n-rburgring-vantage-v8-in-limited-numbers/">Aston Martin to sell Nürburgring Vantage V8 in limited numbers</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 18 Jul 2006 15:06:00 EST.
