The Mini Superleggera Vision Concept reportedly has the green light for production from the BMW board and could be in showrooms as soon as 2018. The electric motor is likely being dropped for internal combustion engines, though.
Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera is set to reveal this custom Ferrari F12 Berlinetta Lusso at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show, but before it does, the first images have found their way online ahead of schedule.
Italian coachbuilder Touring Superleggera seems to be taking inspiration from Ferrari for its latest creation called the Berlinetta Luso. The company just released a teaser video for the car ahead of its debut at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
We fell in love with the Mini Superleggera Vision Concept from the moment we laid eyes on it. The little convertible blends retro and modern together better than any Mini in years. There is even more good news about the roadster as well because the company is considering actually building it. We even have some renders of what the production version could look like.
It could be argued that Mini has not built a pretty car since the R53, the first of the reborn Minis, was put out to pasture at the end of 2006. I've owned two R53s, so yes, I'm horribly biased. The styling situation in Oxford hasn't improved much for 2014, either, as the bigger, more frightened-looking Mini begins to arrive in dealerships, boasting a very un-Mini-like front overhang. This, though... this works.
The stunning Disco Volante Concept that debuted at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show before returning in 2013 show as a running concept, has just gotten one step closer to production. Despite being designed and brought to Geneva by coachbuilder Touring Superleggera, the Disco Volante wears an Alfa Romeo logo and is based on the Italian brand's 8C Competizione. That makes getting Alfa's okay before producing cars for consumers a necessity. According to its builder, that blessing has just been given.
One year after bringing the super stylish and unforgettably named Disco Volante to the Geneva Motor Show as a styling exercise, coachbuilders Touring Superleggera have got a followup to get excited about. This year's version of the slinky Disco will come complete with Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione running gear – 4.7-liter V8 engine and all. We've got just the one teaser image of the car, above, which obviously serves to highlight the fact that this Disco Volante is no hollow shell.
It's been 60 years since the 1952 Alfa Romeo C52 Disco Volante concepts lounged on the stages of the world's auto shows, and Touring Superleggera has taken to marking the occasion with a Disco Volante of its own, a striking coupe that has just debuted at this year's Geneva Motor Show.
Earlier this month, we heard rumors that coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera planned to introduce a new bespoke version of the Bentley Continental GT. Now we've got confirmation that the firm will indeed introduce an shooting brake based on the GT at the Geneva Motor Show early next month.
