Then you see the shot of the back. Significant restyling has taken place on this particular brandy-new STI, and we're not talking about the new duds Fuji whipped up. At least now we know what the primo donor cars will look like at the pick-a-part. While it's an upsetting thing for us internet pikers to gaze upon, we can only imagine the owner's anguish. That said, since most of the damage is in the rear, we're guessing that someone else is at fault for the total loss of this Subie. So, while this particular STI is likely headed for a dismemberment, the owner is likely tooling around in a replacement. So, what do you think the combined cost of this lovely hunk of low-miles (282km) scrap plus a shipping container would be?<br /><br />Thanks for the tip, Marc!<br /><br />[Source: caradvice.com.au] <br /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/12/18/first-subaru-impreza-sti-crash-happens-in-japan/">First Subaru Impreza STI crash happens in Japan</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 18 Dec 2007 09:26:00 EST. These pictures are reportedly<strong> </strong>a mule, not a production R8 that went up in flames. Scuttlebutt has it that fuel spillage was the culprit here, though speculation of something else is also offered if you click through and read the related thread on the R8talk forum. Either way, it's a tragic end to this particular R8's short life. Of course, in the end, it's only a car, so as long as everyone escaped unharmed, it's not even a blip on the cosmic scale. <br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/r8-fire/low/">R8 Fire</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/r8-fire/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/09/r8fire_4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/r8-fire/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/09/r8fire_3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/r8-fire/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/09/r8fire_2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/r8-fire/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/09/r8fire_1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><br />[Source: R8Talk.com]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/09/02/so-sad-audi-r8-mysteriously-burns/">So Sad: Audi R8 mysteriously burns</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Sun, 02 Sep 2007 12:28:00 EST. Tribalwar member "dweeb" (no comments necessary, his name speaks for itself) has had his Honda involuntarily transformed into a <a href="http://home.howstuffworks.com/question499.htm">quiescently frozen confection</a>. Apparently, a water main burst in dweeb's Columbus, Ohio neighborhood, sending many gallons of water flooding into his grapeity purple econobox. <br /><br /><em>Follow the jump for the full story and several more pictures.</em><br /><br />[Source: tribalwar]<em><br /></em><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/02/16/on-the-upside-its-likely-totalled/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>On the upside, it's likely totalled</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/02/16/on-the-upside-its-likely-totalled/">On the upside, it's likely totalled</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 16 Feb 2007 16:58:00 EST.
