Ferrari is now reportedly planning another theme park - and this one will be somewhere in North America.
Give us an afternoon behind the wheel of a genuine driving machine and that's all the amusement we could ask for. But amusement and theme parks have been wise to cater towards automotive enthusiasts as well – whether it's with a single attraction at an existing park like the famous Test Track at Epcot or the Cars pavilion at Hollywood Studios, or a dedicated facility like Ring Werk at the Nürburgring or Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi.
If you're a Ferrari fan and are looking for the place to plan your next vacation, Italy is surely the place to go. There's the headquarters, factory, museum and test track in Maranello, the new Enzo Ferrari Museum in neighboring Modena, and the circuit named for Enzo and Dino Ferrari in the nearby Bolognese suburb in Imola. The thing is that, aside from looking at collections of classic cars – which we wouldn't thumb our noses at, mind you – you might not find that much to do there.
Universal Studios has recently opened a Transformers ride at its amusement parks in California and Singapore, and unlike the movies, the ride is being called "engaging" and "amazing." It puts 12 riders in a car that zooms through a 3D battle between Autobots and Decepticons who are destroying Chicago while they decide the fate of humans.
