Preparing for the introduction of its new naming system and redesigned entry-level sedan, Infiniti has released a brief teaser video for the 2014 Q50. As a refresher, the Q50 is the replacement for the G37 sedan, and while we've seen spy shots of this car before, this video is our first detailed look at the production car.

All we get to see in the video is a shot of the headlight, but we get to see key elements like the stylish daytime running lights, crescent-shaped parking lights and adaptive low beams. The overall shape of the headlight is very close to what we saw earlier this year on the LE Concept. We have to wait until the Detroit Auto Show kicks off in a couple weeks to see the Q50's full design (although we're sure there will be some leaks before that point), but until then, check out the short video posted after the jump.

Continue reading Infiniti teases G-replacing Q50 ahead of Detroit debut

Infiniti teases G-replacing Q50 ahead of Detroit debut originally appeared on Autoblog on Fri, 28 Dec 2012 16:30:00 EST.
Mercedes-Benz has released its first official teaser for its updated 2014 E-Class lineup. The video focuses primarily on the headlights of the E-Class that have a new shape and will offer (at least as an option) full LED lighting including the signals, stylish running lights and adaptive high and low beams. We also note that the the current E's odd four-pod headlight design is being replaced with a more conventional design that fits in with other Mercedes models.

Based on the numerous spy shots we've seen for all of the different bodystyles, the new E-Class will be getting a fresh face including a new hood, fascia and grille. The sedan will also get redesigned rear doors and quarter panels, but we have yet to see or hear of any changes being made to the interior.

Scroll down to watch the teaser video. We're not sure when the new E-Class range will bow, but our sources suggest it will not be the LA Show later this month.
Continue reading Mercedes launches first E-Class refresh teaser

Mercedes launches first E-Class refresh teaser originally appeared on Autoblog on Mon, 19 Nov 2012 18:45:00 EST.
Since the first 21-second teaser was obviously too much for you, Mazda has lopped a whole second off the second video tease for the Mazda6. This one shows some seriously swaged sheetmetal leading up to and running through the A-pillar. And that's really about it.

We know there will be influence from the handsome Takeri Concept Car and four-cylinder power, and after about 68 more of these teaser videos, we should know what the car itself looks like. Have a gander at the promo below.
Continue reading Second Mazda6 teaser shows even less

Second Mazda6 teaser shows even less originally appeared on Autoblog on Sun, 15 Jul 2012 14:01:00 EST.
BMW has released two promo videos of its revised-for-2013 X6 M. From the looks of things, Team Bavaria has opted for a very subtle facelift that includes new headlights and a lightly tweaked grille. Otherwise, the mighty performance utility looks much as it did last year. Word has it the interior will receive similarly slight changes, with the option sheet getting a few more leather choices and little else. Likewise, the freshened BMW X6 M is expected to make use of this year's 4.4-liter, twin-turbo V8 engine.

Buyers can expect to relish the same 547 horsepower and 502 pound-feet of torque as last year, which should be good enough to scoot the beast to 62 mph in a scant 4.7 seconds. Hit the jump to take a look at the two videos for yourself.
Continue reading Updated BMW X6 M previewed in videos

Updated BMW X6 M previewed in videos originally appeared on Autoblog on Sat, 28 Jan 2012 19:53:00 EST.
An intricately-crafted example of rolling sculpture like a Pagani supercar is as much about the details as it is about the whole package. Typically, you take in the overall shape and then focus in on the details. But Pagani's gone the other way with its latest teaser video.

The third in an anticipated series of five videos total, the latest clip is pretty dark - and still packed with vintage-style noise - so it's hard to discern much. But you do get some shifting-focus glimpses at a few details of the highly anticipated follow-up to the Zonda.

We'd been referring to the car under its developmental codename "C9", but earlier reports suggested the final product could carry the name "Huayra". We're pretty sure that "Deus Venti" (the name that accompanied the first teaser and which many blogs have taken as an indication of the car's name) actually means "two coffees", as any Liberal Arts student working at Starbucks could tell you, so our money's not on that nameplate materializing. Follow the jump to watch the video.
