6India's largest automaker, Maruti Suzuki, now offers CNG option on 5 popular models

Maruti Suzuki, India's largest automaker, has unveiled a lineup of CNG-powered vehicles that run the gamut from entry-level compacts to sedans and right on up to MPVs. The company's factory-fitted CNG engine technology, dubbed "intelligent-Gas Port Injection" (i-GPI), will be immediately available on five popular models, including the SX4, Eeco, Wagon R, Estilo and Alto. 12Euro NCAP finds small cars offer plenty of protection

Europe's crash testing authority, Euro NCAP, has published a series of new tests that includes the latest small and fuel efficient models offered there. The top scorers in the small car segment, with five star results, were the Honda Jazz, Hyundai i20 and Kia Soul. The Audi Q5 and the Peugeot 3008 also scored the maximum in their category. 4General Motors planning on international minicar by 2010

According to GM of India vice president of corporate affairs, Mr. P Balendran, the automaker has firm plans to build a mini car. The hope is to have a model in play by 2010, with the goal of a 10-percent or better market share internationally.
