<br />
If you've ever found yourself thinking the world needs more miniature supercharged V8 engines, think no more. Conley Precision Engines has put the finishing touches on its Stinger 609; a 6.09 cubic inch, fully-functional V8 engine. The little mill has its own <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/supercharger">supercharger</a>, dual carburetors and a functional serpentine belt and turns out a full nine horsepower. The machine revs to a lofty 10,000 rpm and sounds like the offspring of a dentist's drill and a lumpy-cam small block. In other words, it's perfect. The Stinger 609 is 14 inches long from tip to tailshaft, just under half as wide and sits 10 inches tall. It tips the scales at 11.25 pounds.<br />
<br />
Think this is the world's greatest paperweight? We'd be inclined to agree if the machine didn't carry such an eye-widening price tag. Conley Precision Engines will politely ask for $7,000 before handing you your own scale blown V8. We're just happy to live in a world where something like this exists. Check out a quick clip of the engine in action <a href="/2012/10/04/super-tiny-supercharged-v8-engine-enters-production-w-video/#continued">below</a>.<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2012/10/04/super-tiny-supercharged-v8-engine-enters-production-w-video/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Super tiny supercharged V8 engine enters production [w/video]</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2012/10/04/super-tiny-supercharged-v8-engine-enters-production-w-video/">Super tiny supercharged V8 engine enters production [w/video]</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 04 Oct 2012 10:16:00 EST. <div align="center"><em><strong><small>Click above for high-res gallery of the 2009 Cadillac CTS-V</small></strong></em><br /></div>
<br />The <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/02/first-drive-2009-cadillac-cts-v/">Cadillac CTS-V</a> has already proven that its impressive power stats translate nicely to the track with sub-8 minute 'Ring times and a 0-60 time of 3.9 seconds. The General is also positioning its new 556-hp halo sedan as a performance bargain, having announced today that it will go on sale around November 1 with a starting price of just $59,995. That's more than $40,000 cheaper than the less powerful XLR-V, and we'd argue the CTS-V is more attractive with its v2.0 Art and Science styling and works much better as a daily driver with its back seat and usable trunk. The CTS-V also makes the larger <a href="http://autos.aol.com/cars-Cadillac-STS_V-2009/overview">$80,900 STS-V sedan</a> completely irrelevant considering its 86-hp power advantage, improved aesthetics and quicker moves. Even the <a href="http://autos.aol.com/cars-BMW-M5-2009/overview">vaunted BMW M5</a> with its higher starting price of $83,900 and less powerful 500-hp 5.0L V10 engine can't touch the CTS-V in price or performance. <br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/detroit-2008-2009-cadillac-cts-v">2009 Cadillac CTS-V</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/detroit-2008-2009-cadillac-cts-v/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/05/ctsv_greenhell1280_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/detroit-2008-2009-cadillac-cts-v/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/x09ca_ct001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/detroit-2008-2009-cadillac-cts-v/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/x09ca_ct002_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/detroit-2008-2009-cadillac-cts-v/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/x09ca_ct003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/detroit-2008-2009-cadillac-cts-v/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/x09ca_ct004_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: GM]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/17/cadillac-prices-2009-cts-v-from-59-995/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Cadillac prices 2009 CTS-V from $59,995</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/17/cadillac-prices-2009-cts-v-from-59-995/">Cadillac prices 2009 CTS-V from $59,995</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 17 Oct 2008 10:29:00 EST.
