The Aston Martin Vulcan will show what it can do around Spa during demo laps prior to this weekend's 24-hour race.

Despite noise restrictions and a busy track, the Koenigsegg One:1 managed to whittle its own lap record at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit down by another second.

Nismo shows why the Spa 24 Hours race deserves some respect. This video features beautiful nighttime shots of the racecars as they shoot sparks at Eau Rouge.

With Formula One taking to Belgium and the famous Spa-Francorchamps circuit this weekend – boasting a reputation as one of the most beautiful courses on the calendar – all eyes will likely be on the tricky Eau Rouge corner, which challenges drivers' high-speed car control over a rolling, tree-lined hill. Infiniti played on the turn's iconic legacy for its ruby red Q50 Eau Rouge concept, and now the brand hopes to trademark the famous racing name so it can keep using it for a potentia

For the first time since July of 2007, an American driver will take to the grid for a race in the Formula One World Championship. That man will be 22-year-old Alexander Rossi, a Californian widely touted as the next great hope for American F1 fans following his steady climb through the open-wheel ranks.

"If we built this car I would expect it to feature over 500 horsepower and 600 pound-feet of torque."

Let's get one thing straight - we don't just watch Top Gear for the powerslides or the antics of its three hosts, we watch it for the cars, and the way TG's crack film team makes said cars look. Put in the simplest terms possible, Top Gear has the chops to elevate its reviews a form of art. It's easy to forget when watching the finished product, though, that those gorgeous films wouldn't be possible if it weren't for a car, some cameras and a set.

The Isdera Imperator 108i is a remarkably rare supercar from the late 80s and early 90s. Born of a Mercedes-Benz concept car, it's powered by a range of AMG-developed V8s, with five to six liters of displacement, depending on the engine. The example shown here, lapping the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit, features the most potent 6.0-liter V8 available. And rather than just being driven about on a perfectly clean racing line, it's freaking power sliding!

We know it's been barely over a month, but it sure seems like a lot longer since the last Formula One race. At the end of July, Fernando Alonso lead the standings ahead of Mark Webber, Sebastian Vettel, Lewis Hamilton and Kimi Raikkonen after eleven of twenty grands prix were completed this season.

This weekend there will be nine English visitors to the 24 Hours of Spa endurance race, all of them with the surname MP4-12C GT3. The nine cars are being fielded by six teams, one of which has already been victorious in GT races with its McLaren racer.

We've seen lots of camera angles from close to an Formula One driver's point of view, but we don't think we've ever seen the actual thing – a genuine driver's-eye view. Pirelli F1-tire test driver Lucas di Grassi has changed that, placing a camera on his helmet over one of his eyes while doing a hot lap in the wet around Belgium's Spa-Francorchamps circuit. So, yes, that means he drove with just one eye 'open.'

When a major automaker shuts down its racing program like Peugeot did at Le Mans, it leaves a big gaping hole for everyone involved. The French automaker's departure from endurance racing left the series organizers scrambling for another team to take its place just as it was preparing to inaugurate the new FIA World Endurance Championship. It left Audi – the Diane Sawyer of Le Mans racing, to borrow an analogy from Talladega Nights – without its Katie Couric. And arguably most of all

Everyone deserves a little break once in a while. But once that vacation is over, it's time to get back to work.

Sitting outside for several hours under the beating sun in central Texas in June wouldn't exactly be what most would call their cup of tea... though you might feel like you were being steeped inside of one. That's why Formula One Management is set on moving next year's inaugural United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas to November.

Though today the letters stand for power and performance, if you go back four decades, almost nobody had ever heard of a tuning garage called AMG. That was until the Mercedes-Benz tuner showed up at the 1971 running of the 24 Hours of Spa with... a luxury sedan. But not just any luxury sedan.

The moment of truth is upon McLaren this weekend. After rolling out its MP4-12C road car to positive reviews, the racing team turned automaker is turning itself back into a racing team with the new McLaren GT division and its MP4-12C GT3 – the first GT racer from the Woking, UK outfit since the celebrated F1 GTR.

The second round of the Intercontinental Le Mans Cup took place in Belgium, and even though the Audi R18 took to the starting line for the first time, Peugeot was able to take the top two spots on the podium after six hours of racing.

Following earlier news that the Donington track, which was supposed to take over the British Grand Prix in lieu of Silverstone, had to declare bankruptcy comes a reversal of fortune for the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. The longtime host of the Belgian Grand Prix looked to be in serious trouble with local authorities when nearby residents got fed up with the noise emanating from the track. Government officials threatened to shut down the circuit if the situation wasn't addressed, but now they appea

Seems like every day brings something new in Formula 1, and lately none of it's been good. Now we hear that our absolute favorite track on the calendar, Belgium's Spa-Francorchamps circuit, is on the brink of having its license stripped for – get this – 17 years.
