The new news is that one of its "triplet" siblings, the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/04/04/new-york-auto-show-chevy-trax-live-reveal-video/">Chevy Trax</a> concept, is joining it, as you can see above. The two are <a href="http://transformerslive.blogspot.com/2008/06/front-street-chase-pics-new-tf-car.html">chasing/following Bumblebee</a> on Philadelphia's JFK Boulevard. Proof of GM's new commitment to building more smaller, fuel-efficient cars, you ask? Eh, well, as you may remember, Trax and the third triplet, Groove, were <em>not </em>slated for production like the Beat, so this is (unfortunately) probably just a movie special. At least one Autoblogger is happy, though (raises hand), because Trax is the one he voted for last year. <a href="http://transformerslive.blogspot.com/2008/06/front-street-chase-pics-new-tf-car.html">Transformers Live Action Movie Blog</a> wonders if the Beat and Trax might be portraying the Autobot "Twins" in the sequel. Sacrilege? Well, if the movie Bumblebee can be a Camaro instead of a VW beetle, there's no reason <a href="http://www.unicron.us/tf1984/toypix/sideswipe.htm">Sideswipe</a> and <a href="http://www.unicron.us/tf1984/toypix/sunstreaker.htm">Sunstreaker</a> can't be Chevy-branded "world cars" instead of twin Countaches. If that turns out to be the case, though, it does kinda make one wish Lambo paid to be part of Michael Bay's party instead of <a href="http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=45884">Batman</a>. <br /><br />[Source: <a href="http://jalopnik.com/396597/surprise-chevy-trax-shows-up-on-set-of-transformers-2">Jalopnik</a> via <a href="http://transformerslive.blogspot.com/2008/06/front-street-chase-pics-new-tf-car.html">TFLAMB</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/06/20/chevy-trax-concept-joins-beat-on-i-tf2-i-set/">Chevy Trax concept joins Beat on <i>TF2</i> set</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 20 Jun 2008 10:57:00 EST. Indeed, the retreading of Knight Rider is underway, with shoots already taking place. Love it or hate it, it will hit the small screen, and if you can get over the fact that it's <strong>not</strong> the original, it might be fun. If it's rotten, it won't hang around long anyhow. It's not like the original series was <em>Citizen Kane</em>, so let's just be thankful that there's a new <a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bykGaVXx3Ck">shadowy flight into the dangerous world of a man who does not exist</a>. <br /><br />Hollywood blog The ODI managed to finagle some time on a location shoot for the new series and snapped some stills. There's no shots of the new KITT, but our old pal the Knight Industries Two Thousand is there in this garage scene. The premise apparently is that the old KITT is being rebuilt in a garage/lab after being totaled. The shop is set up with automotive parts and tools, as well as much-later F-Body than the original (check out the taillights). We would have imagined that KITT's powerplant was something more exotic than a carbureted small block with an Eaton-style supercharger. Maybe that's the engine they <em>removed</em> to put in the exotic hydrogen turbine, or nuclear reactor, or whatever. Can we get a rewrite? <br /><br />[Source: <a href="http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=blog.view&amp;friendID=80503210&amp;blogID=333078155">The ODI </a>via SpoilerTV, Photos: The ODI]<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/knight-rider-set-pics/low/">Knight Rider set pics</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/knight-rider-set-pics/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/12/crew-equip_thumbnail.gif" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/knight-rider-set-pics/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/12/kitt-engine_thumbnail.gif" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/knight-rider-set-pics/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/12/kitt-parts_thumbnail.gif" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/knight-rider-set-pics/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/12/kitt-parts2_thumbnail.gif" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/knight-rider-set-pics/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/12/kitt-rims_thumbnail.gif" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/12/08/pics-from-the-set-of-knight-rider-tv-show/">Pics from the set of Knight Rider TV show</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Sat, 08 Dec 2007 20:05:00 EST. <p>Even Porsche lovers will readily acknowledge that the Cayenne is far from being the most beautiful creations ever penned by Stuttgart, so why on earth would anyone want to mimic the shape in any form? Someone in Hong Kong evidently thought otherwise and produced this (hopefully) limited-edition Porsche Cayenne mobile phone.</p>
<p>In addition to its unfortunate and ridiculous appearance, this handset packs in dual-band GSM, a micro-SD card slot, and support for video and music playback. It'll cost you less than $200, plus any shred of good taste you might have retained if showing this unfortunate device off to your friends strikes you as a good idea.</p>
<p>This is why automakers license products and have input into their designs. Porsche is reportedly taking legal action against the manufacturer for copyright infringement, and we hope the automaker wins. </p>
