Saab releases biofuel-capable vehicles under the BioPower label. The latest model to get the ethanol treatment is rumored to be the 9-3X wagon, which Saab will unveil at the Geneva Motor Show next month. Even though development of the 9-X BioHybrid Comcept was put on hold last fall, flex-fuel vehicles are not dead yet and we found news that the 9-3X wagon will be available with either a turbo 1.9-liter diesel good for 180 hp or a turbo 2.0-liter E85-capable engine that can put out up to 210 hp.
Saab pride! Even if you own a Ford or Chevy, you tend to have a sense of pride in the brand, or at least would flat-out refuse to set your left cheek in the driver's seat of your competitor's brand. Therefore, as a Saab owner, I get excited to hear any nifty tidbit of information about the brand, and here's some good news.
