Online car configurators are one of our favorites. You can sit for an hour or more playing with different color combinations and options on a car you're never going to buy, and have absolutely nothing to show for it when you're done. The most alluring are the configurators for the most exclusive European exotica, but typically automakers don't launch these until the car's on the market, or at least has been unveiled in production form. Rolls-Royce, however, has evidently decided to jump the (nickel-plated, mother-of-pearl-handled) gun in putting online a configurator for the 200EX, the concept car that previewed the upcoming Ghost model at the Geneva show this past March.<br /> <br /> Labeled the "visualizer", the utility is available for all your distracting, time-wasting needs on the 200EX mini-site. There you can play around with different color and trim choices inside and out, right down to the "silver satin bonnet". Enjoy, but don't come complaining to us when you haven't gotten any work done.<br /> <br /> <br /> <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/">Rolls-Royce 200EX concept</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/01-rolls-royce-200ex-official_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/02-rolls-royce-200ex-official_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/03-rolls-royce-200ex-official_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/04-rolls-royce-200ex-official_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/05-rolls-royce-200ex-official_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /> <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/">Geneva 2009: Rolls-Royce 200EX concept</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/01-rolls-royce-200ex-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/02-rolls-royce-200ex-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/03-rolls-royce-200ex-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/04-rolls-royce-200ex-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/05-rolls-royce-200ex-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /> [Source: <a href="http://www.rolls-roycemotorcars.com/200EX/main.html">Rolls-Royce</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/25/rolls-royce-launches-configurator-for-200ex-ghost/">Rolls-Royce launches configurator for 200EX/Ghost</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 25 Jun 2009 08:27:00 EST. <br />The Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost will not only mean more sales for the company, it will mean more workers. Rolls is adding 300 production workers to the payroll, bringing its Sussex workforce to 900. The majority of new positions will be in the wood, leather and paint shops, but there will be assembly positions opening up as well since the Ghost gets its own line. It might not be the best time to bring a top-end luxury sedan to market, but it is a very good time to apply for a job, and Rolls wants to fill them over the next few months. If you have a luxurious way with wood, leather, or paint (or all three), you can peruse the job openings on the Rolls-Royce site, <font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"><a href="http://www.rolls-roycemotorcars.com/">www.rolls-roycemotorcars.com</a>.</font><br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/">Geneva 2009: Rolls-Royce 200EX concept</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/01-rolls-royce-200ex-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/02-rolls-royce-200ex-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/03-rolls-royce-200ex-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/04-rolls-royce-200ex-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/05-rolls-royce-200ex-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/21/rolls-royce-to-double-workforce-ahead-of-ghost-production/">Rolls-Royce to double workforce ahead of Ghost production</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 21 May 2009 08:01:00 EST. <br />At the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/ShanghaiMotorShow/">Shanghai Motor Show</a> this morning, Rolls-Royce finally put the temporary RR4 moniker to rest by officially naming its new Flying Spur-fighting sedan the "Ghost." <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/03/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-proves-that-downsizing-is-relativ/">Shown in concept form as the 200EX</a> at last month's <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/GenevaMotorShow/">Geneva Motor Show</a>, the Ghost will be built later this year on a separate assembly line at the automaker's newly expanded Goodwood facility, where it will share paint, wood and leather with its flagship brother, the Phantom. The Ghost is built using 20% of the parts from the recent BMW 7 series platform and will be equipped with a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/23/confirmed-rolls-royce-rr4-getting-500-hp-turbo-v12-8-speed-gea/">500+ hp, twin-turbocharged V12 mated to an eight-speed transmission</a>. Expect sales to begin in late 2009, with <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/17/rolls-royce-silver-ghost-aka-rr4-to-be-available-in-coupe-con/">coupe and convertible variants</a> to follow in the next two to three years.<br /><br /><br /> <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/">Rolls-Royce 200EX concept</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/01-rolls-royce-200ex-official_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/02-rolls-royce-200ex-official_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/03-rolls-royce-200ex-official_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/04-rolls-royce-200ex-official_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/05-rolls-royce-200ex-official_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/20/shanghai-2009-rolls-royce-ditches-rr4-for-ghost-nameplate/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Shanghai 2009: Rolls-Royce ditches RR4 for Ghost nameplate</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/20/shanghai-2009-rolls-royce-ditches-rr4-for-ghost-nameplate/">Shanghai 2009: Rolls-Royce ditches RR4 for Ghost nameplate</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 20 Apr 2009 03:58:00 EST. <div style="text-align: center;"><em><strong><small>Rolls-Royce 200EX Geneva debut - Click above for high-res image gallery</small></strong></em><br /></div>
<br />Historically, Rolls-Royce has somewhat smugly declined to quote horsepower numbers, utilizing amusingly evasive language like "entirely sufficient" to describe its engines' power outputs. Perhaps a sign of the times, Rolls is now being a bit more forthcoming about details for its upcoming "baby" RR4 model, including approximate horsepower numbers.<br /><br />The company has disclosed that the RR4 will be powered by a new, 6.6-liter turbocharged V12 engine that gives "upwards of 500bhp." Further, it will route that prodigious output through a ZF transmission with no less than eight forward ratios. Despite its ability to generate big power figures, Rolls says that one important drivetrain figure will be smaller than any other Rolls on the market: C02 output.<br /><br />The news came from CEO Tom Purves himself at a New York press event for the 200EX, where the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/03/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-proves-that-downsizing-is-relativ/">Geneva concept car</a> is making its first stop on a world tour designed to get prospective clients in the car and booking orders for the production RR4 version. <br /><br />The BMW-owned British automaker has long been famous for its peerless interiors and isolated ride, but Purves promises that the RR4 will bring with it a new emphasis on driving entertainment: "... we have consciously engineered this car to be more involving and dynamic for those owners around the world that will wish to drive it themselves."<br /><br />While we don't expect Porsche Cayman-baiting dynamics, we look forward to seeing what the company views as more involved driving dynamics when the car starts rolling out the front doors of its Goodwood production facility. Official press release after the jump.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/">Geneva 2009: Rolls-Royce 200EX concept</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/01-rolls-royce-200ex-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/02-rolls-royce-200ex-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/03-rolls-royce-200ex-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/04-rolls-royce-200ex-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/05-rolls-royce-200ex-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: Rolls-Royce]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/23/confirmed-rolls-royce-rr4-getting-500-hp-turbo-v12-8-speed-gea/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>CONFIRMED: Rolls-Royce RR4 getting 500+HP turbo V12, 8-speed gearbox</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/23/confirmed-rolls-royce-rr4-getting-500-hp-turbo-v12-8-speed-gea/">CONFIRMED: Rolls-Royce RR4 getting 500+HP turbo V12, 8-speed gearbox</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 23 Mar 2009 13:30:00 EST. <br />In this economic climate, nobody is immune. But everything is relative. Rolls-Royce may continue to set sales records, but even they're downsizing... sorta. Rolls' answer to a shrinking economy is a smaller model, but at 212.6 inches long, it's the 200EX is still bigger than most luxury sedans roaming the roads. And it still looks every bit as deserving of the Spirit of Ecstasy hood ornament adorning its streamlined, brushed aluminum nose as the larger Phantom range. When the 200EX enters production, it'll lose the traditional Rolls showcar nameplate in favor of something like Silver Cloud, and it'll still command a prime spot in the valet lot at the yacht club, but don't take our word for it: check out the live shots for yourself in the gallery below, and the factory images below that, and the full details in the press release after the jump.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/">Geneva 2009: Rolls-Royce 200EX concept</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/01-rolls-royce-200ex-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/02-rolls-royce-200ex-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/03-rolls-royce-200ex-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/04-rolls-royce-200ex-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/05-rolls-royce-200ex-live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/">Rolls-Royce 200EX concept</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/01-rolls-royce-200ex-official_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/02-rolls-royce-200ex-official_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/03-rolls-royce-200ex-official_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/04-rolls-royce-200ex-official_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/05-rolls-royce-200ex-official_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><br /> <em><strong><small>Photos Copyright (C)2009 Noah Joseph / Weblogs, Inc.</small></strong></em><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/03/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-proves-that-downsizing-is-relativ/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Geneva 2009: Rolls-Royce 200EX proves that downsizing is relative</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/03/geneva-2009-rolls-royce-200ex-proves-that-downsizing-is-relativ/">Geneva 2009: Rolls-Royce 200EX proves that downsizing is relative</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 03 Mar 2009 04:45:00 EST. <div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;"><small>Click above for a high-res gallery of the Rolls-Royce 200EX</small></span><br /></div>
<br />Following <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/19/geneva-embargo-leakage-beans-get-spilled-on-rolls-royce-200ex-c/">today's embargo debacle</a>, Rolls-Royce has finally released the official details and images of its baby Roller, the 200EX. The name draws its inspiration from the "experimental" prototypes that Rolls created during the pre-war era, but this version is more modern and has its sights set on the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/BentleyContinentalFlyingSpur/">Bentley Continental Flying Spur</a>.<br /><br />While Rolls-Royce has deemed the Geneva-bound 200EX a concept, expect almost every exterior and interior detail to carry over to the production model when it arrives in 2010. However, the alphanumeric moniker will be replaced with something more traditional (think some variation of the words Spirit, Shadow or Cloud).<br /><br />The styling is quintessential Rolls, pulling all the best cues from the Phantom and Drophead Coupe and fitting them into a decidedly smaller package. Based off the latest BMW 7 series platform, the 200EX spans 212.6 inches long, 83 inches wide and 61 inches tall, with a wheelbase of 129.7 inches. A new air suspension system hides behind the seven-spoke, 20-inch wheels, with the front hoops wrapped in 255/45 tires and the rears coated in 285/40 rubber. Rolls remains mum on engine details, only saying that the 200EX is powered by a new V12.<br /><br />Inside you'll find all the top-rate, high-dollar trinkets that makes Rolls-Royce the standard of the luxury motoring world, including frosted lamps, chrome door handles, violin key switchgear and an ergonomic roller-ball controller to manipulate the car's systems.<br /><br />While we're anxiously awaiting the official unveiling at the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/GenevaMotorShow/">Geneva Motor Show</a> next month, expect the production variant of the 200EX to bow at the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/FrankfurtMotorShow/">Frankfurt Motor Show</a> later this year. <em>Make the jump for all the details.</em><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/">Rolls-Royce 200EX concept</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/01-rolls-royce-200ex-official_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/02-rolls-royce-200ex-official_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/03-rolls-royce-200ex-official_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/04-rolls-royce-200ex-official_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-200ex-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/05-rolls-royce-200ex-official_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/19/officially-official-rolls-royce-200ex/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Officially Official: Rolls-Royce 200EX</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/19/officially-official-rolls-royce-200ex/">Officially Official: Rolls-Royce 200EX</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 19 Feb 2009 20:10:00 EST. <div align="center"><em><strong><small>Click above for a high-res gallery of RR4 spy shots</small></strong></em><br /></div>
<br /><em>Auto Telegraaf</em> reports a tidbit on the coming <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/11/17/spy-shots-rr4-interior-shows-off-new-steering-wheel-idrive-lik/">Rolls-Royce 4</a> that would make the car something special indeed: it claims the car will cost &euro;380,000. If true, that would make it the second priciest car in the Rolls-Royce line-up, with only the Phantom LWB a scant &euro;20,000 ahead of it. Rolls-Royce CEO Tom Purves did say that the newest model would be "<a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/06/30/first-drive-rolls-royce-phantom-coupe/">more expensive than any Bentley</a>," but we don't think he meant <em>that </em>expensive.<br /><br />The actual price will probably be around half of that, &euro;190,000 in Europe, $250,000 or so in the U.S. In addition to coupe and convertible variants to follow its introduction, the car is slated to fit a wide range of powerplants for a Roller: BMW's V12 and turbocharged V8 are in the picture, and diesel and hybrid lumps are on the table. And soon we won't need to call it by its codename any more; the car is rumored to wear the Silver Ghost moniker.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-rr4-spy-shots-ii/low/">Rolls Royce RR4 - spy shots II</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-rr4-spy-shots-ii/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/rollsrr4.ld1.kgp.ed_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-rr4-spy-shots-ii/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/rollsrr4.ld2.kgp.ed_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-rr4-spy-shots-ii/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/rr4.int2.kgp.ed_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-rr4-spy-shots-ii/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/rr4.stwheel.kgp.ed_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-rr4-spy-shots-ii/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/rr4.int3.kgp.ed_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://translate.google.com/translate?prev=_t&amp;hl=en&amp;ie=UTF-8&amp;u=http%3A%2F%2Fautotelegraaf.nl%2Fvanonzeredactie%2F%3Fnewsid%3D3128383&amp;sl=nl&amp;tl=en&amp;history_state0=">Auto Telegraaf</a> (translated) via <a href="http://www.globalmotors.net/more-details-on-the-rolls-royce-rr4-silver-ghost/">Global Motors</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/02/more-details-on-380-000-rolls-royce-4/">More details on "?380,000" Rolls-Royce 4</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 02 Feb 2009 09:58:00 EST. It is March, though, that will bring year's first real bounty. At Geneva, BMW will be showing off a concept version of the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/06/24/bmw-progressive-activity-sedan-coming-to-frankfurt-in-09/">Progressive Activity Vehicle</a> (half 5 Series, half X6), the Concept eDrive (an electric 1 Series or 3 Series), a Z4 <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/10/11/einzigartig-bmw-7-series-individual/">Individual</a>, and the Rolls-Royce 102EX (otherwise known as the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/11/17/spy-shots-rr4-interior-shows-off-new-steering-wheel-idrive-lik/">RR4</a>). Then in April, BMW's taking the show to Shanghai with the 760Li. <br /><br />Post-Shanghai, you'll get a few months to digest. Then at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, BMW is expected to have the production-ready Progressive Activity Vehicle on display and the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/17/spy-shots-production-mini-crossover-spotted/">MINI Crossover</a>. It is there, perhaps, that they'll also trot out a show pony speedster they call the Vision-Z with eDrive, their idea of "progress of sports cars for the future." And sprinkled on top throughout the year come launches of the 7 Series xDrive, 7 Series Hybrid, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/12/22/video-bmw-drives-the-x5-m/">X5 M</a>, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/08/26/spy-shots-bmw-m-tuned-x5-and-x6-in-spartanburg/">X6 M</a>, and X6 Active Hybrid. For bimmer lovers, 2009 is going to be a jubilee year.<br /><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.bmwblog.com/2008/12/26/bmw-vehicles-to-be-introduced-in-2009/">BMW Blog</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/12/28/bmws-2009-unveiling-schedule/">BMW's 2009 unveiling schedule?</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Sun, 28 Dec 2008 11:29:00 EST. <br />That treasure trove of appalling autodom described in the most gnarled English imaginable, otherwise known as eBay Motors, serves up today's flavorful morsel of weird and wonderful. Why wait for the upcoming Rolls-Royce <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/RR4/">RR4</a> when you can just throw $50K at this heavily customized Chrysler 300C? It's got the ostentatious grille, the suicide doors, the RR embroidered headrests, but most importantly, a HEMI V8 underhood. HEMI, apparently now transmuted to mean "multi-displacement system," will save you fuel as you rent the car out for the dreamy rate of $750 per day as the seller suggests. At least with a Chrysler lurking underneath all that nasty, you can be assured that repair costs will be nominal compared to the real thing.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/fake-rr4/low/">Fake RR4</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/fake-rr4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/f6ad_1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/fake-rr4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/f7e9_1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/fake-rr4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/f908_1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/fake-rr4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/fa39_1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/fake-rr4/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/ff0b_1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-Trucks___CONVERTED-TO-2010-ROLLS-DROPHEAD-PHANTOM-COST-OVER-65K_W0QQitemZ270307980696QQddnZCarsQ20Q26Q20TrucksQQddiZ2282QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUS_Cars_Trucks?hash=item270307980696&amp;_trksid=p4506.c0.m245&amp;_trkparms=65%3A-2|39%3A1|240%3A1318">eBay Motors</a> via <a href="http://www.thetruthaboutcars.com/chrysler-300c-on-ebay-no-its-rolls-royce-rr4/">TTAC</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/11/26/ebay-find-of-the-day-rolls-royce-rr4-already-for-sale/">eBay Find of the Day: Rolls-Royce RR4 already for sale</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 26 Nov 2008 18:33:00 EST. <div align="center"><em><strong><small>Click above for high-res gallery of Rolls Royce RR4 spy shots</small></strong></em><br /></div>
<br /><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-rr4-spy-shots-ii/1163324/"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" align="right" alt="" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/rr4.int2.kgp.ed_opt.jpg" /></a>Development work continues on the new "entry-level" model inbound from Rolls Royce dubbed the RR4. By "entry level" we mean that the new RR4 will cost a cool $100,000 less than the Phantom, which means we should expect a price tag in the $250,000 - $280,000 range. <br /><br />Spy photographers from KGP have caught a development mule out testing and brought back the first pictures of the RR4's interior. Wood inlay can be seen on the center console and dash, which should be expected for any car costing more than your house. Also snapped were the iDrive-like controller, which we assume will use a reskinned version of the new iDrive system from the 7 Series with a few Rolls-specific tweaks, and the RR4's new steering wheel that features some interestingly integrated switchgear. The RR4 will actually ride on a version of the 2009 BMW 7 Series platform, but don't expect much parts bin sharing between the two in order to keep the Rolls as pure as possible.<br /><br />The RR4 will be aimed squarely at the Bentley Continental Flying Spur and may also spawn a coupe and convertible to compete directly with the Continental GT and GTC, respectively. We expect our first peek at the production version around the time of the Geneva Motor Show in early 2009.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-rr4-spy-shots-ii/low/">Rolls Royce RR4 - spy shots II</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-rr4-spy-shots-ii/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/rollsrr4.ld1.kgp.ed_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-rr4-spy-shots-ii/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/rollsrr4.ld2.kgp.ed_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-rr4-spy-shots-ii/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/rr4.int2.kgp.ed_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-rr4-spy-shots-ii/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/rr4.stwheel.kgp.ed_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-rr4-spy-shots-ii/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/rr4.int3.kgp.ed_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: KGP Photography]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/11/17/spy-shots-rr4-interior-shows-off-new-steering-wheel-idrive-lik/">Spy Shots: RR4 interior shows off new steering wheel, iDrive-like controller</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 17 Nov 2008 14:58:00 EST. Previous <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/03/28/spy-shots-rolls-royce-rr4-the-baby-rolls/">spy shots</a> hinted at rear suicide doors, or coach doors as Rolls-Royce refers to them, and now it is official: the hinges on the rear door are on the rear of the door. The car has plenty of Phatom-esque cues, and although it doesn't look anything like the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/05/27/rolls-royce-releases-official-sketches-of-new-rr4/">initial sketch</a>, it looks like it could be a very attractive proposition when it shows up for the big dance. Still no word on engines, but we have no doubt its output will be something along the lines of prodigious. <em>Thanks for the tip, Andrus!</em><br /><br />[Source: <a href="http://globalmotors.net/baby-rolls-spied-with-little-camouflage/">Global Motors</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/08/31/spy-shots-rr4-wearing-even-less-camouflage/">Spy shots: RR4 wearing even less camouflage</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Sun, 31 Aug 2008 15:47:00 EST. <p>After having maxed-out the Phantom range with sedan, coupe and convertible variants, Rolls-Royce has been hard at work preparing its second range. Known tentatively as <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/06/12/rolls-royce-expects-rr4-to-more-than-double-sales-might-get-twi/">the RR4</a> (following in succession after the three Phantoms), the new "baby Rolls" will be anything but, and is expected to be unveiled next March at the Geneva show.</p>
<p>Based on a heavily-modified version of the BMW 7-series, the RR4 will offer direct competition to the Bentley Continental. And not just the four-door Flying Spur, either. Although the RR4 will initially appear - in concept form - as a sedan, the platform is expected to spawn additional coupe and convertible body-styles just like its big brother and its targeted competitor. Although many details still remain big question marks for the luxury sedan - including whether it will bear the "suicide" rear doors of the Phantom and what engines (including potential diesel and hybrid powertrains) will appear underhood - the RR4 is anticipated to double the output of the stoic British marque from its production of 1000 Phantoms last year to 2000 once production gears up on the as-yet-unnamed baby Roller. </p>

While sales figures currently hover around 1,000 per year for Rolls-Royce, we don't know if the figure he's talking about doubling will include the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/03/04/geneva-2008-rolls-royce-phantom-coupe-a-real-gt/">Phantom Coupe</a>, which goes on sale later this year. The RR4 -- the baby Phantom's code name for now -- will share a platform with the upcoming <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/06/04/rumormill-2009-bmw-7-series-coming-july-7th/">7-Series</a> and is expected to give the scales a workout at 5,000-plus pounds. <br /><br />The engine choice is still a mystery. Some speculate that there will be a twin-turbocharged version of BMW's 4.4-liter V8. However, Robertson has said that Rolls-Royce engines will remain unique to Rolls-Royce, in which case a 12-cylinder motor, unshared with any BMW product and smaller than the Phantom's, has been suggested. And in a nod to green, a diesel option is being floated after the car's introduction.<br /><br />The car with which the RR4 will compete, Bentley's Continental Flying Spur, has suffered no ill-will for using a VW engine in its Continental series, so perhaps Rolls-Royce will be more welcoming of BMW power when the time comes. The new Rolls is expected to be priced between $250,000 and $300,000, which is considered "entry-level" for this brand.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-rr4-sketches/low/">Rolls-Royce RR4 sketches</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-rr4-sketches/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/05/p0045982-1280_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-rr4-sketches/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/05/p0045981-1280_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/baby-rolls-royce-spy-shots/low/">Rolls Royce RR4 - spy shots</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/baby-rolls-royce-spy-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/03/00_babyrollsroycea_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/baby-rolls-royce-spy-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/03/01_babyrollsroycea_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/baby-rolls-royce-spy-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/03/02_babyrollsroycea_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/baby-rolls-royce-spy-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/03/03_babyrollsroycea_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/baby-rolls-royce-spy-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/03/04_babyrollsroycea_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Souces: <a href="http://www.motorauthority.com/news/sedans/new-details-on-rolls-royces-upcoming-rr4-sedan/">Motor Authority</a> and <a href="http://www.egmcartech.com/2008/06/11/2010-rolls-royce-rr4-to-get-x6s-v8-twin-turbo/#more-21814">eGM Car Tech</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/06/12/rolls-royce-expects-rr4-to-more-than-double-sales-might-get-twi/">Rolls-Royce expects RR4 to more than double sales, might get twin-turbo V8</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 12 Jun 2008 16:01:00 EST. The RR4 won't be coming to market for another two years, but its design is complete and vehicle development and testing is well underway. The marque's Goodwood factory is undergoing renovations that will allow its production lines to accommodate the full Phantom range as well as the new RR4. <br /><br />Based on the sketches, it looks like the RR4 will be retaining the same long-hood, high-beltline proportions as the Phantom series cars. Although rumors have had the RR4 being built on a derivative of the new 7-series platform, Rolls isn't saying anything about that right now. The car will apparently have a unique new engine not shared with any other models. You can read Rolls-Royce's official press release is after the jump.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-rr4-sketches/low/">Rolls-Royce RR4 sketches</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-rr4-sketches/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/05/p0045982-1280_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-rr4-sketches/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/05/p0045981-1280_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rolls-royce-rr4-sketches/826152/">Rolls-Royce</a>]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/05/27/rolls-royce-releases-official-sketches-of-new-rr4/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Rolls-Royce releases official sketches of new RR4</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/05/27/rolls-royce-releases-official-sketches-of-new-rr4/">Rolls-Royce releases official sketches of new RR4</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 27 May 2008 09:54:00 EST. Caught in clear view by KGP photographers, the upcoming "entry level" car by Rolls Royce that's based on the same underpinnings as the next BMW 7-Series looks for all the world like a little <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/10/01/in-the-autoblog-garage-2007-rolls-royce-phantom/">Phantom</a>, just wearing less conspicuous consumption on its sleeve. What we have here is a Rolls Royce that should more of a driver's car than the Phantom, a true chauffeur-driven chariot if ever there was one. Like Bentley has its Continental line for the up and coming super rich who care about driving dynamics more than lineage and pedigree, so too will the RR4 reach out to those who don't care about monolithic grilles (it's still got one as you can see through the covering) and 2-inch thick carpeting. We do notice, however, that the RR4 appears to be sporting rear suicide doors, which is a nice touch that links the smaller car with its big bro'. A range of engines have been rumored that include all manner of V12s and V8s, as well as a diesel. Time will tell, but for now we're day dreaming of an epic comparison test between a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/08/30/in-the-autoblog-garage-2006-bentley-continental-flying-spur/">Bentley Continental Flying Spur</a> and the RR4. The new model won't share an engine with a current BMW product, but it's assumed that the new 7-series will serve as the platform for what's being referred to as the RR4.<br /><br />The recent round of <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/15/spy-shots-baby-rolls-nabbed/">spy shots</a> of the "small" Rolls-Royce indicates that testing is well underway and it's been confirmed that the company will build the new model at its <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/10/25/rolls-royce-confirms-plans-for-goodwood-expansion/">Goodwood facility</a>. There's no definitive date for the debut, but Rolls-Royce execs expect the RR4 to push the automaker's sales well over the 1,010 vehicles it sold last year.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/baby-rolls-royce-spy-shots/low/">Rolls Royce RR4 - spy shots</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/baby-rolls-royce-spy-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/03/00_babyrollsroycea_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/baby-rolls-royce-spy-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/03/01_babyrollsroycea_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/baby-rolls-royce-spy-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/03/02_babyrollsroycea_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/baby-rolls-royce-spy-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/03/03_babyrollsroycea_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/baby-rolls-royce-spy-shots/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/03/04_babyrollsroycea_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/News/articleId=124759">Inside Line</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/02/13/baby-roller-coming-in-2010/">Baby Roller coming in 2010</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 13 Feb 2008 13:57:00 EST. Expected to roll into 5-star showrooms before the end of 2010, you will need about &pound;175,000 to get it from the dealer's heated garage into yours. If the spy shots are any indication, just because you're spending... ahem, less... doesn't mean it won't look like a Roller. The signature long-bonnet-to-bowing-boot is readily apparent.<br /><br />The platform will be shared with the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/12/18/rendered-speculation-2009-bmw-7-series/">next generation 7-Series</a>, but will have a unique wheelbase, roof and hood height, and track. Inside, sharing will supposedly be restricted to things invisible to the driver. Engines will also be unique to Rolls-Royce, though developed from BMW engines such as the 407-hp twin-turbo V8 from the X6. And with Rolls in a brand new position in terms of volume, cachet and straight-up cash, the company is exploring something that would have been unthinkable not too long ago: a diesel. All that young money snapping up Phantoms means, in the words of a mole at Rolls, "the old-money buyers who might have been put off by the idea of a diesel engine are becoming a much less important part of our customer base."<br /><br />[Source: Autocar]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/30/spy-shots-baby-rolls-royce-this-time-without-the-snow/">Spy Shots: baby Rolls-Royce, this time without the snow</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 30 Jan 2008 16:56:00 EST. Its model line-up, recently expanded to include the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/12/30/officially-official-2008-rolls-royce-phantom-drophead-coupe/">Drophead Coupe</a>, consists solely of two derivatives of the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/10/01/in-the-autoblog-garage-2007-rolls-royce-phantom/">Phantom</a>. For the first time in the company's history, production in 2007 capped the 1,000 mark. So when Rolls-Royce confirms a new model, it's a big deal.
<p>Earlier this week at the Detroit show, Rolls-Royce chief Ian Robertson confirmed that the anticipated "baby Rolls", which we saw in <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/15/spy-shots-baby-rolls-nabbed/">spy shots</a> as recently as yesterday, is slated for unveiling in 2010. Code-named RR4, Robertson also announced that the car would receive a brand new engine, presumably because the Phantom's 450-hp V12 doesn't fit. The car is expected to be based on the BMW 7-Series, which explains why the mule seen in yesterday's spy shots was accompanied by BMW's big sedan, slotting in between the Bavarian sedan and the Phantom limo.</p>
<p>While he was at it, Robertson also confirmed that the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/10/12/spy-shots-rolls-royce-fixed-head-coupe/">fixed-roof Phantom coupe</a> previewed by the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/03/02/geneva-motor-show-rolls-royce-pulls-the-tarp-off-the-101-ex-con/">101EX concept</a> would begin delivery by this coming summer.</p>
