<br />
This is the face of the new <a href="http://autoblog.com/chevrolet/corvette/">Corvette</a>. As was the case with the next 'Vette's <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2013/01/11/corvette-c7-leaked-on-cover-of-automobile/">hind quarters</a>, the fascia has leaked on the cover of a magazine, in this case, <em>Road &amp; Track</em>.<br />
<br />
As you can see, a more angular look graces the face of the 2014 Corvette, with a large oblong-hexagon-shaped intake for sucking in as much of the atmosphere as possible, along with sharply defined bulges in the hood and what appear to be LED-ridden headlights. Front and center sits the latest variation of the classic Corvette emblem, just below a slot-shaped hood scoop.<br />
<br />
We can't help but draw comparisons to current supercars like the <a href="http://autoblog.com/srt/viper/">2013 SRT Viper</a> and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/599/">Ferrari 599</a>. In any case, we're literally hours away from the car's full reveal, so you won't have to wait much longer for a whole slathering of Corvette-flavored morsels. Until then, cast your gaze upon the face of America's next world-beater.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2013/01/13/2014-corvette-face-leaks-on-road-and-track-cover/">2014 Corvette face leaks on <i>Road &amp; Track</i> cover</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Sun, 13 Jan 2013 08:55:00 EST. <br />
Has the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/moscow+motor+show/">Moscow Motor Show</a> reached international relevance? If one were to look at the recent unveilings from <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/russia/">Russia</a>, the evidence may support that theory.<br />
<br />
A <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/road+and+track/"><em>Road &amp; Track</em></a> report makes the assertion that Russia, like many other automotive markets, has matured independently to the point where it has less interest in the major international auto shows that are not held on their soil. As a result, formerly relevant auto shows in Italy, Japan and the UK have downgraded in size and, in some cases, aren't even being held.<br />
<br />
Additionally, <em>R&amp;T</em> points to automakers using local ride and drive events for sparking more interest in buyers than an auto show may be able to.<br />
<br />
Meanwhile, in growing markets, such as <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/china/">China</a>, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/india/">India</a> and Russia, automakers are making bigger and bigger plays. <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/buick/">Buick's</a> significance in China played a major role in the American car brand's survival, while <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/ferrari/">Ferrari</a> has made a move to strengthen its showing in India. As for Russia, the internationally-sold <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/mazda/mazda6/">Mazda6</a> <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2012/08/28/2014-mazda6-mazda-6-reveal-moscow/">debuted at the Moscow Motor Show</a>, along with news that the car would be produced in Russia, just as <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2012/08/26/mazda-ceases-production-in-u-s-as-last-sedan-rolls-off-line-in/">the only Mazda factory in the U.S. shutters</a>. The times, they are, a-changin.<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2012/09/07/moscow-auto-show-gaining-importance/">Moscow Auto Show gaining importance</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 07 Sep 2012 08:43:00 EST. <br />
Ann Arbor, Michigan, is best known for the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/university+of+michigan/">University of Michigan</a>, punk rock progenitor Iggy Pop, and foodie favorite Zingerman's Delicatessen. We know, you're wondering why you should care. Well, it's also now home to three of the four major monthly car magazines.<br />
<br />
Hearst Corporation has announced that <em><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/road+and+track/">Road &amp; Track</a></em> will be moving from Newport Beach, California, to Ann Arbor over the summer, joining its other automotive title, <em><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/car+and+driver/">Car and Driver</a></em>. <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/automobile+magazine/"><em>Automobile</em></a> also calls Ann Arbor home, as does R&amp;T's new editor-in-chief, Larry Webster. He will take over for current boss Matt DeLorenzo on June 4.<br />
<br />
Webster had been automotive editor at <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/popular+mechanics/"><em>Popular Mechanics</em></a> since January 2010, and worked for <em>Car and Driver</em> for years before that. He has a mechanical engineering degree from Lehigh University and counts racing and vintage car restoration among his hobbies. <a href="/2012/05/31/road-and-track-hits-the-road-makes-tracks-to-ann-arbor-mi/#continued">Scroll down</a> to read the full press release.<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2012/05/31/road-and-track-hits-the-road-makes-tracks-to-ann-arbor-mi/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em><i>Road &amp; Track</i> hits the road, makes tracks to Ann Arbor, Michigan</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2012/05/31/road-and-track-hits-the-road-makes-tracks-to-ann-arbor-mi/"><i>Road &amp; Track</i> hits the road, makes tracks to Ann Arbor, Michigan</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 31 May 2012 18:00:00 EST. <br />
We're still a couple weeks away from the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/detroit-auto-show/">Detroit Auto Show</a>, but the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/LexusLFLc/">Lexus LF-Lc</a> <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2011/12/19/lexus-offers-interior-glimpse-of-new-detroit-bound-concept/">concept</a> has leaked thanks to the crew at <em>Road &amp; Track</em> and their YouTube account.<br />
<br />
We still don't know much about <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/lexus/">Lexus'</a> Detroit-bound concept, but the swoopy coupe combines some of the more emotive elements of the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/lexus/lfa/">LFA</a>, along with the grille of the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2011/04/19/new-york-2011-lexus-lf-gh-concept-shows-off-the-new-face-of-the/">LF-Gh concept</a> that eventually formed the basis of the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/lexus/gs/">Lexus GS</a>. The massively elongated hood terminates with headlamps that plummet deep into the air intakes and a more extreme grille than that found on the Predator-esque fascia of the Gh.<br />
<br />
With an "Lc" designation, this could signal Lexus' intention of building an <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/lexus/ls/">LS</a>-based coupe to take on the likes of the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/mercedes-benz/sl-class/">Mercedes-Benz SL</a>, but until the official curtains are pulled in Detroit, we'll have to wait and see.<br />
<br />
In the meantime, check out the video <a href="/2011/12/20/road-and-track-leaks-lexus-lf-lc-concept/#continued">after the jump</a> for the unintentional early reveal. As long as it stays on YouTube...<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2011/12/20/road-and-track-leaks-lexus-lf-lc-concept/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em><i>Road &amp; Track</i> leaks Lexus LF-Lc concept</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2011/12/20/road-and-track-leaks-lexus-lf-lc-concept/"><i>Road &amp; Track</i> leaks Lexus LF-Lc concept</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 20 Dec 2011 21:55:00 EST. <br />
There are many ways to measure a car's performance, and no shortage of benchmarks against which to judge them. The 200 mile-per-hour mark, for example, holds its share of bragging rights. And back in the day, <em>Road &amp; Track</em> would hold shootouts to determine which cars made the cut and which did not. But now the magazine is back with a new benchmark, one that's a lot tougher to beat: the two-second sprint to sixty.<br />
<br />
There are only a few cars - that is, showroom-stock production cars - in the world that can run from 0-60 in less than three seconds. Most of them are all-wheel drive, have dual-clutch transmissions, and are made by one division or another of the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/volkswagen">Volkswagen</a> Group. <em>R&amp;T</em> admitted the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2010/11/23/2011-bugatti-veyron-super-sport-first-drive-review-road-test/">Bugatti Veyron Super Sport</a>, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2010/02/08/porsche-911-turbo-s-unveiled-with-530-hp-of-goodness/">Porsche 911 Turbo S</a> and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/nissan/gtr/">Nissan GT-R</a> to the exclusive club. Video of the affair is posted <a href="/2011/09/25/this-is-what-186-mph-in-a-2012-bmw-m5-looks-like/#continued">after the jump</a>.<br />
<br />
We'd like to see the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/lamborghini/aventador/">Lamborghini Aventador</a>, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/ferrari/458+italia/">Ferrari 458 Italia</a> and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/mp4-12c">McLaren MP4-12C</a> give it a shot. What would <em>you </em>like to see in the next heat? Treat the comments section as a suggestion box.<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2011/09/25/road-and-track-welcomes-a-select-few-to-the-two-second-club/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em><i>Road &amp; Track</i> welcomes a select few to the two-second club</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2011/09/25/road-and-track-welcomes-a-select-few-to-the-two-second-club/"><i>Road &amp; Track</i> welcomes a select few to the two-second club</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Sun, 25 Sep 2011 16:03:00 EST.
