<br />While the trio of tuned Genesis coupes have garnered their fair share of attention, these three Genesis sedans had a few tricks up their sleeves, beginning with the RKSport model above that benefits from a Hyundai-developed screw-type supercharger mated to the 4.6-liter Tau V8.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sema-2008-hyundai-genesis-sedans/1137594/"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" align="right" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/06_hyundai_genesis_sedans_live_opt.jpg" alt="" /></a>With 11 pounds of boost huffed into the bent eight, the RKSport sedan is putting out an estimated 460 horsepower, but with a new cylinder deactivation system, fuel mileage is equivalent to that of the V6-equipped Genesis. Hyundai made it clear that it hasn't made an official decision to offer the supercharger, but expect the cylinder deactivation system to be available in the future.<br /><br />In addition to the engine mods, the RKSport model receives a custom body kit, composite hood, rear roof spoiler and trunk spoiler, along with Enkei LS-5 wheels, Baer brakes, a K&amp;N air intake, Magnaflow exhaust and lowering springs.<br /><br />Both the RIDES and DUB brought out their Genesis sedans to the show, and you can get up to speed below the fold and peruse the galleries for plenty of live and stock shots.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sema-2008-hyundai-genesis-sedans/low/">SEMA 2008: Hyundai Genesis Sedans</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sema-2008-hyundai-genesis-sedans/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/01_hyundai_genesis_sedans_live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sema-2008-hyundai-genesis-sedans/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/02_hyundai_genesis_sedans_live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sema-2008-hyundai-genesis-sedans/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/03_hyundai_genesis_sedans_live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sema-2008-hyundai-genesis-sedans/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/04_hyundai_genesis_sedans_live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sema-2008-hyundai-genesis-sedans/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/05_hyundai_genesis_sedans_live_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rksport-hyundai-genesis-v8/low/">SEMA 2008: RKSport Hyundai Genesis V8</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rksport-hyundai-genesis-v8/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/10/hyundai-rksport-genesis-sedan-1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rksport-hyundai-genesis-v8/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/00_xrksport_gensedan_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rksport-hyundai-genesis-v8/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/01_xrksport_gensedan_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rksport-hyundai-genesis-v8/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/02_xrksport_gensedan_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rksport-hyundai-genesis-v8/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/03_xrksport_gensedan_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rides-hyundai-genesis-sedan/low/">RIDES Hyundai Genesis Sedan</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rides-hyundai-genesis-sedan/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/10/01_rides_genesis_preview_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rides-hyundai-genesis-sedan/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/01_xrides_gensedan_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rides-hyundai-genesis-sedan/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/02_xrides_gensedan_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rides-hyundai-genesis-sedan/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/03_xrides_gensedan_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rides-hyundai-genesis-sedan/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/04_xrides_gensedan_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/11/04/sema-2008-hyundai-debuts-tuned-genesis-sedans-460-hp-superchar/">SEMA 2008: Hyundai debuts tuned Genesis Sedans, 460-hp supercharged V8</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 04 Nov 2008 17:41:00 EST. <br />When we initially caught wind that Hyundai had tapped a handful of tuners and magazines to customize the Genesis sedan for SEMA, we were prepared for some ungainly and wholly ridiculous offerings. Thankfully, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/search/?q=hyundai+genesis+coupe+sema&amp;invocationType=wl-auto&amp;searchsubmit=">the trio of coupes</a> look promising, and even though the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/08/sema-preview-rksport-doing-up-genesis-sedan/">teased</a> and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/18/sema-spy-shots-rksport-hyundai-genesis/">spied</a> <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/08/sema-preview-rksport-doing-up-genesis-sedan/">RKSport sedan</a> appears to take the Genesis to its illogical extreme, we've got two more to go before show time and one comes courtesy of the crew at <a href="http://www.rides-mag.com/online/?p=1894"><em>RIDES</em></a>.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rides-hyundai-genesis-sedan/1113591/"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" align="right" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/10/02_rides_genesis_preview_250op.jpg" alt="" /></a>Looking to build off the Genesis sedan's strong points, the <em>RIDES</em> team has created a roving office with all the technological amenities your 21st century man-on-the-move would need. Three Macs are installed inside - two Mac Minis and a one MacBook Air - allowing back-seat slaves to the interwebs (that would be us) to troll the 'Net through a pair of tray-mounted wireless keyboards, 8.4-inch VGA headrest monitors and a WiFi connection. Included inside is an iPhone 3G and iPod touch, along with a Farenheit DVD player, Genesis amps, Morel Hybrid Ovation speakers and two 12-inch sub-woofers. In the unlikely event that you're stranded on the roadside, pop the trunk and you're greeted by a 20-inch Apple Cinema Display with keyboard and mouse mounted on a motorized tray.<br /><br />If the tech isn't enough, the back seats are swathed in suede upholstery, while the exterior benefits from custom 22-inch MHT three-piece wheels, an Extreme Dimensions body kit, custom bumper, lowered suspension, smoked taillights and quad-tip exhaust.<br /><br />All the details are available in the press release below the fold and head over to the <a href="http://www.rides-mag.com/online/?p=1894"><em>RIDES</em> website</a> for a ton of detail shots to compliment our gallery of images below.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rides-hyundai-genesis-sedan/low/">RIDES Hyundai Genesis Sedan</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rides-hyundai-genesis-sedan/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/10/01_rides_genesis_preview_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rides-hyundai-genesis-sedan/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/01_xrides_gensedan_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rides-hyundai-genesis-sedan/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/02_xrides_gensedan_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rides-hyundai-genesis-sedan/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/03_xrides_gensedan_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/rides-hyundai-genesis-sedan/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/04_xrides_gensedan_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/22/sema-preview-rides-hyundai-genesis-wants-to-be-techys-dream-wh/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>SEMA Preview: RIDES Hyundai Genesis wants to be techy's dream whip</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/22/sema-preview-rides-hyundai-genesis-wants-to-be-techys-dream-wh/">SEMA Preview: RIDES Hyundai Genesis wants to be techy's dream whip</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 22 Oct 2008 20:02:00 EST. <p>Forbes and a few special guests play matchmaker, putting some magnificent stretches of blacktop together with some magnificent wheels. California is, of course, well represented among the entrants -- Danica Patrick likes Highway 1 around Monterey in a Bentley GTC, and Bob Bondurant likes Mulholland Drive in a 1965 'Stang. The rest of the country gets some love as well, though. A DB9 is best suited for the Las Vegas to Death Valley to Mammoth Lakes run (be sure to check out Dante's View in Death Valley). For the Easterners among you, the Tail of the Dragon in the Great Smoky Mountains, from Tennessee to North Carolina, is perfect for an '07 vintage Porsche Turbo. Being Forbes, all but one of the best rides are big money, but don't let that stop you -- the roads don't discriminate. Land Rover gets our vote for the best choice of best road: essentially, they chose Africa.</p>
