<br />
Transformers 3 is filming in Chicago right now, luring all camera-toting film buffs to the Windy City's streets like moths to a bug zapper. In addition to snagging the three NASCAR Transformers and Optimus Prime's trailer, there's the matter of a 1972 Datsun 510 painted much like Bumblebee and dangling a "BEE-OTCH" air freshener from its rear view mirror. <br />
<br />
We have no idea what that's about, but as long as it doesn't involve Wheelie or Skids we should be all right with it. Well, maybe not - this looks like it's shaping up to be as big a mess as <em>Revenge of the Fallen</em>. Maybe he'll at least take the form of a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/nissan/gtr">Nissan GT-R</a> later, as with his <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/chevrolet/camaro">Chevrolet Camaro</a> 'upgrade' in the first movie. Click the links below to check out the rest of the shots.<br />

<br /> We may have found this summer's blockbuster, <em>Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen</em> to be <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/26/transformers-revenge-of-the-fallen-great-action-even-worse-sto/">heavy on the sizzle and lean on the meat</a>, but that doesn't mean we've written off the series - after all, it's hard to dismiss excellent CG work, the childhood toys of our youth... to say nothing of that siren Megan Fox. <br /> <br /> Thankfully, director Michael Bay informs us via his official website that the next installment is already in the works, and it's been assigned a release date - July 1 of 2011. That's a long time from now, granted, but Bay intimates in his blog post that Megan Fox has already signed on for the TF3 project, and hopefully Shia LaBeouf will make the scene too. Bay is already meeting with Hasbro to discuss new characters, so we'd expect a few new transforming automobiles to show up as well. <br /> <br /> Here's hoping that they have enough time to craft a script that lives up to the special effects. <br /> <br /> <br /> <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen">Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/tf2screenshots000_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/tf2screenshots001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/tf2screenshots002_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/tf2screenshots003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/tf2screenshots004_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /> [Source: <a href="http://www.michaelbay.com/newsblog/files/a2bd79bb4c222b807e27707aaf1497e6-570.html">MichaelBay.com</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/10/02/mark-your-calendars-michael-bay-says-i-transformers-3-i-comi/">Mark Your Calendars: Michael Bay says <i>Transformers 3</i> coming... on July 1, 2011</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 02 Oct 2009 17:29:00 EST. <br />We didn't much care for <em>Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen</em> when we went out and saw it on opening night, but we're still smitten by the concept of robots that transform into all manner of vehicular machinery. In Michael Bay's new flick, motorcycles may have taken a more prominent role than in the past, but we prefer the classic Norton Commando in the short clip <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/07/02/video-norton-commando-transformer-is-more-than-meets-the-eye/">after the break</a> to the two-wheeled robotic movie machines.<br /><br />Composed and rendered by Steve Twist, a student from Bournemouth University gunning for his undergraduate degree in Computer Visualisation and Animation, this eight-month project looks to be time well spent to our eyes. Better still, in our heads, this is exactly what an old Norton motorcycle would sound like if it could talk.<br /><br />Perhaps Twist can get in touch with Bay to instill at least a modicum of realism for the inevitable Transformers 3? Nah, probably not. <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/07/02/video-norton-commando-transformer-is-more-than-meets-the-eye/">Click past the break</a> to watch the video.<br /><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.motorcyclenews.com/MCN/News/newsresults/General-news/2009/June/Norton-Commando-Transformer/?&amp;R=EPI-116248">Motorcycle News</a>]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/07/02/video-norton-commando-transformer-is-more-than-meets-the-eye/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>VIDEO: Norton Commando Transformer is more than meets the eye</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/07/02/video-norton-commando-transformer-is-more-than-meets-the-eye/">VIDEO: Norton Commando Transformer is more than meets the eye</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 02 Jul 2009 14:58:00 EST. <br />We played with Transformers as kids and have a considerable appetite for anything automotive, making the second installment of the Transformers film franchise a must watch in an otherwise uninspiring summer blockbuster season. While we didn't dare hope for a compelling story line, we were pretty sure Director Michael Bay wouldn't let us down with regards to special effects. We hit the theater to see if <em>Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen</em> lived up to the considerable hype, and basically got exactly what we expected. Hit the jump to check out our brief review.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen">Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/tf2screenshots000_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/tf2screenshots001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/tf2screenshots002_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/tf2screenshots003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/tf2screenshots004_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/26/transformers-revenge-of-the-fallen-great-action-even-worse-sto/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em><em>Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen</em> - Better action, worse storyline</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/26/transformers-revenge-of-the-fallen-great-action-even-worse-sto/"><em>Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen</em> - Better action, worse storyline</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 26 Jun 2009 12:57:00 EST. <br />We have some good news and some bad news. First, the good news, because that's just how we roll. We've got another clip of Megan Fox.. er, <span style="font-style: italic;">Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen</span>. The bad news? It involves a "bad guy" Transformer named Wheelie that has a really cheesy New York wise-guy personality. His weaknesses appear to include a foul mouth, mousetraps and hot chicks - two out of three which being qualities that we can identify with. In any case, he gets his metallic little ass kicked by Fox.<br /><br />Most TF2 previews have looked straight-up awesome so far, but if this annoying little 'bot has anything more than a cameo in the movie, well, we're not going to be happy. <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/12/video-transformers-2-clip-shows-megan-fox-tussling-with-wheelie/">Hit the jump</a> to see video of Fantastic Ms. Fox taking a blowtorch to mini Megatron.<br /><br />[Source: <a href="http://cinematoday.jp/page/A0002228">Cinema Today</a> via <a href="http://jalopnik.com/5288343/transformers-2-megan-fox-makes-wheelie-her-little-bitch">Jalopnik</a>]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/12/video-transformers-2-clip-shows-megan-fox-tussling-with-wheelie/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>VIDEO: <i>Transformers 2</i> clip shows Megan Fox tussling with Wheelie</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/12/video-transformers-2-clip-shows-megan-fox-tussling-with-wheelie/">VIDEO: <i>Transformers 2</i> clip shows Megan Fox tussling with Wheelie</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 12 Jun 2009 19:28:00 EST. <br />Remember the new trailer we showed you for <em><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/TransformersRevengeoftheFallen/">Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen</a></em> the other day? That was cool and all... but, as a video captured by a hand-held recorder, it's quality left a little to be desired. So, um, wanna watch it in all its high definition glory? Of course you do. <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/01/video-official-transformers-revenge-of-the-fallen-trailer-3/">Click past the break</a> to satisfy all your wildest car-into-robot transforming dreams, at least until the actual flick shows up at your nearest theater on June 24th. Oh, and did we mention that besides robots on land, in the air and at sea, it also includes Megan Fox? Just <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/01/video-official-transformers-revenge-of-the-fallen-trailer-3/">click through</a>, you won't be disappointed.<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/01/video-official-transformers-revenge-of-the-fallen-trailer-3/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>VIDEO: Official Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen trailer #3</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/01/video-official-transformers-revenge-of-the-fallen-trailer-3/">VIDEO: Official Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen trailer #3</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 01 May 2009 14:28:00 EST. <br />A fever pitch is building for the upcoming release of <em><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/TransformersRevengeoftheFallen/">Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen</a></em> on June 24th, so much so that a rabid fan snuck his hand-held camcorder into a <a href="http://www.transformersmovie.com/promo.html">special screening</a> today where the film's newest trailer was being debuted. What he escaped with was a pretty good vid (for a cam) with brand new scenes from the movie that reveal even more of the story's plot. SPOILER ALERT: Sam's got something in his head that Megatron wants, Optimus Prime doesn't mind being inconvenienced by fate, and Megan Fox is 76.3% hotter in the sequel than the first film. <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/29/video-new-transformers-revenge-of-the-fallen-trailer-leaked-on/">Just watch</a>. <em>Thanks for the tip, Juan!</em><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/29/video-new-transformers-revenge-of-the-fallen-trailer-leaked-on/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>VIDEO: New Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen trailer leaked online</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/29/video-new-transformers-revenge-of-the-fallen-trailer-leaked-on/">VIDEO: New Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen trailer leaked online</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 29 Apr 2009 14:58:00 EST. <br />A <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/01/video-transformers-revenge-of-the-fallen-trailer/">commercial</a> for <em>Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen </em>aired during the Super Bowl last month that contained new footage for Michael Bay's upcoming release. At 30 seconds long, however, the ad was more of a teaser than a trailer. The actual theatrical trailer from which the commercial got its footage is two minutes 15 seconds long, and a sneak preview of it was published today on YouTube. The preview was captured using a hand-held video recorder of some sort, so the quality isn't that great, but we're working on finding a higher quality version. In the meantime, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/13/video-full-version-of-transformers-2-second-trailer/">follow the jump</a> to view the full preview that you'll soon be watching in theaters that features extended versions of the short clips we saw in that Super Bowl commercial.<br /><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.thehdroom.com/news/See_the_Second_Transformers_Revenge_of_the_Fallen_Teaser_Trailer/4263">TheHDRoom</a>]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/13/video-full-version-of-second-trailer-for-transformers-2/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>VIDEO: Full version of second trailer for Transformers 2</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/13/video-full-version-of-second-trailer-for-transformers-2/">VIDEO: Full version of second trailer for Transformers 2</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 13 Feb 2009 19:58:00 EST. <br />General Motors used the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/chicago-auto-show/">Chicago Auto Show</a> to introduce the world to its latest concept vehicle, the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/corvette+centennial+concept/">Corvette Stingray</a>, which will be featured in the upcoming <em>Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen</em> movie on June 26th. According to GM, the vehicle is nothing more than a styling buck that was influenced by the original 1959 Stingray racer when it was spotted by director Michael Bay while he was touring GM's operations looking for inspiration for the first Transformers movie. Don't expect this concept to spawn any sort of production vehicle, which, needless to say, is a shame.<br /><br />In robot mode, the Corvette Stingray Concept will take the form of Sideswipe, who will reportedly be a skater with wheels for feet. The General doesn't have anything in the way of new product to show off here in Chicago, so it's using the blockbuster movie to drum up interest instead. It's working... sorta.<br /><br /><span style="font-style: italic;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/11/chicago-2009-gm-finally-rolls-out-corvette-centennial-concept/">Hit the jump</a> for a video of Ed Welburn discussing the design of the Corvette Centennial Concept, along with GM's press release.</span><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chicago-2009-corvette-centennial-concept-live">Chicago 2009: Corvette Stingray Concept LIVE</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chicago-2009-corvette-centennial-concept-live/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/corvettecent_01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chicago-2009-corvette-centennial-concept-live/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/corvettecent_02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chicago-2009-corvette-centennial-concept-live/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/corvettecent_03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chicago-2009-corvette-centennial-concept-live/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/corvettecent_04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chicago-2009-corvette-centennial-concept-live/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/corvettecent_05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chicago-2009-chevrolet-centennial-concept">Chicago 2009: Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Concept</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chicago-2009-chevrolet-centennial-concept/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/corvette_centennial_concept_chicago_01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chicago-2009-chevrolet-centennial-concept/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/corvette_centennial_concept_chicago_02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chicago-2009-chevrolet-centennial-concept/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/corvette_centennial_concept_chicago_03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chicago-2009-chevrolet-centennial-concept/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/corvette_centennial_concept_chicago_04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chicago-2009-chevrolet-centennial-concept/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/corvette_centennial_concept_chicago_05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><em><strong><small>Live photos copyright (C)2009 <a href="http://www.drewphillipsphotography.com/">Drew Phillips</a> / Jeremy Korzeniewski</small></strong><small><strong> / Weblogs, Inc.</strong></small></em><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/11/chicago-2009-gm-finally-rolls-out-corvette-stingray-concept/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Chicago 2009: GM finally rolls out Corvette Stingray Concept [w/VIDEO]</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/11/chicago-2009-gm-finally-rolls-out-corvette-stingray-concept/">Chicago 2009: GM finally rolls out Corvette Stingray Concept [w/VIDEO]</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 11 Feb 2009 12:28:00 EST. <br />We usually know what vehicles an automaker will debut at a major auto show the weekend before, but General Motors has kept us in the dark about its plans for the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/Chicago-Auto-Show/">Chicago Auto Show</a> next week. As such, we're not expecting any major product reveals, but today we learned that GM will be introducing us to the new Bumblebee from the movie <span style="font-style: italic;">Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen</span>. He's the same Bumblebee from the first film, but the Camaro into which he transforms has been spiffed up for the sequel with a new front bumper, chin spoiler, hood scoop and different wheels. Whereas the first Bumblebee was based on the Camaro Concept, it appears that the new one is based on the actual production car. <br /><br />Joining the orange Camaro in Chicago will be other characters from the film in their car forms. New additions to the sequel brandishing a GM badge include a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/08/28/reader-spy-chevy-volt-caught-from-the-beltline-up/">2010 Chevy Volt called Jolt</a>, a <a href="http://transformerslive.blogspot.com/2009/01/ironhide-twins-and-megatron-robot.html">Chevy Spark called Skids and a Trax concept called Mudflat</a> (together known as the Twins), and a character called Sideswipe based on the still-yet-to-be-revealed <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/03/new-shots-of-corvette-centennial-concept-surface/">Corvette Centennial Concept</a>. GM didn't specify in its press release (included after the jump) which characters are accompanying Bumblebee to Chicago, but the venue at McCormick Place is one of the largest exposition centers in the world, so the more Transformers the merrier. <br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/bumblebee-and-autobots-from-tf2">Bumblebee and Autobots from TF2</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/bumblebee-and-autobots-from-tf2/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/nmbumblebee210_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/bumblebee-and-autobots-from-tf2/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/nmbumblebee6_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/bumblebee-and-autobots-from-tf2/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/tfsatlaurelhill8_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/bumblebee-and-autobots-from-tf2/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/tfsatlaurelhill7_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/bumblebee-and-autobots-from-tf2/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/tfsatlaurelhill9_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: General Motors]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/06/gm-bringing-bumblebee-2-other-autobots-to-chicago-auto-show/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>GM bringing Bumblebee 2 and Autobots to Chicago Auto Show</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/06/gm-bringing-bumblebee-2-other-autobots-to-chicago-auto-show/">GM bringing Bumblebee 2 and Autobots to Chicago Auto Show</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 06 Feb 2009 12:34:00 EST. <br />It's hard to tell what's going on in this first trailer for the upcoming <em>Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen</em> sequel that will air tonight during the Super Bowl, but there are more psychotic Decepticons amped up for a rematch, lots of Autobots getting their mechanical asses kicked, and anything that can be blown up gets blown up. It's everything you'd expect in Michael Bay film... plus Megan Fox. <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/01/video-transformers-revenge-of-the-fallen-trailer/">Follow the jump</a> to watch the first official trailer for TROF, and check out some high-res screen captures of the action in the gallery below. <em>Thanks for the tip, 94 taurus owner!</em><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/screen-captures-from-transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen-trailer">Screen Captures from Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen trailer</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/screen-captures-from-transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen-trailer/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/000_tf2trailer_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/screen-captures-from-transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen-trailer/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/001_tf2trailer_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/screen-captures-from-transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen-trailer/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/002_tf2trailer_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/screen-captures-from-transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen-trailer/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/003_tf2trailer_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/screen-captures-from-transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen-trailer/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/004_tf2trailer_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/01/video-transformers-revenge-of-the-fallen-trailer/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>VIDEO - <em>Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen</em> trailer released ahead of Super Bowl</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/01/video-transformers-revenge-of-the-fallen-trailer/">VIDEO - <em>Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen</em> trailer released ahead of Super Bowl</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Sun, 01 Feb 2009 14:45:00 EST. <div align="center"><em><strong><small>Click above for image gallery of robots from Transformers: The Game</small></strong></em><br /></div>
<br />As we get closer to the June 26th release of <em>Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen</em>, we can expect that more and more bits will leak out regarding the various plot lines and, more importantly for Autoblog, the robots and their alt-mode vehicles. Such is the case today with new images and a few details regarding <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-the-game-teasers/1326213/">Ironhide</a>, the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/06/20/chevy-trax-concept-joins-beat-on-i-tf2-i-set/">Chevy Beat and Trax "Twins"</a> and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-the-game-teasers/1326214/">Megatron</a>, who may or may not make a return appearance in the sequel. <br /><br />After looking at the pics, which are from the website for Activision's <em>Transformers: The Game</em> (it's since been taken down), we're a bit worried <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-the-game-teasers/1326216/">the Twins</a> that we expect to transform into the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/06/20/chevy-trax-concept-joins-beat-on-i-tf2-i-set/">Chevy Beat and Trax</a> will take on a Jar Jar-like role in ROTF, but we remain hopeful after our early misgivings regarding the first film were (mostly, some, not at all?) unfounded. Megatron is sporting a different look too, with what some believe are tank treads on his legs. Want more? A trailer for the upcoming movie is scheduled for the Super Bowl this Sunday. <em>Thanks for the tip, 94 Taurus owner</em>!<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-the-game-teasers">Transformers: The Game teasers</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-the-game-teasers/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/01/tf2thetwinsrobots_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-the-game-teasers/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/01/tf2gameironhide1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-the-game-teasers/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/01/tf2gametwins_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-the-game-teasers/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/01/tf2gamemegatron1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://transformerslive.blogspot.com/2009/01/ironhide-twins-and-megatron-robot.html">Transformers Live Action Movie Blog</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/01/30/robots-taking-over-ironhide-twins-and-megatron-revealed/">Robots taking over: Ironhide, Twins and Megatron revealed</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 30 Jan 2009 18:54:00 EST. We're expecting to see a real car from General Motors to go along with the movie roll, but it's not something that you'll be able to buy. This machine is meant as nothing more than a tribute to the Corvette, and it coincides nicely with GM's 100th anniversary. <br /><br />The most current set of rumors suggest that the Centennial 'Vette will take the form of Transformers character Sideswipe, though there's no official word on that point quite yet. Regardless, the robot mode has been revealed via a new Transformers toy leak. Pay close attention (<em>click on the image to enlarge</em>) to the robot's feet -- he's a skater, and that should make for some interesting scenes in the movie. Just a few more months to go. <em>Thanks for the tip, everyone</em>!<br /><br />[Source: <a href="http://transformerslive.blogspot.com/2009/01/deluxe-sideswipe-toy.html">Transformers Live Action Movie Blog</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/01/13/corvette-centennial-transformer-toy-reveals-robot-mode/">Corvette Centennial Transformer toy reveals robot mode</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 13 Jan 2009 16:01:00 EST. For those of you living under a rock, the Corvette Centennial Concept is both a tribute to General Motors' 100-year history and a budding young actor on the Hollywood stage with a bit part in <em>Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen</em>. It is not, we repeat not, a production car, a concept intended to hint at the future design direction of the Corvette or any such thing, at least as far as we know. Being a flight of fancy concept, however, doesn't take away from its inherent coolness. The view from the rear is particularly mind blowing as you can see the split rear window, incredibly sculpted rear fenders and nuevo Sting Ray badge. We're not sure when the actual car will be revealed, but GM is celebrating its 100-year anniversary this month. Then again, the official debut might also coincide with the release of the Transformers sequel in 2009. We'll have to wait and see.<br /><br />[Source: <a href="http://jalopnik.com/5045017/corvette-centennial-concept-more-details-photos-on-new-transformers-movie-car-star">Jalopnik</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/03/new-shots-of-corvette-centennial-concept-surface/">New shots of Corvette Centennial Concept surface</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 03 Sep 2008 17:26:00 EST. So far, we've seen good views of the car from the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/06/22/transformers-corvette-concept-bumblebee-z28-in-the-buff/">front</a> and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/07/16/best-shot-yet-of-the-transformers-2-mystery-vette/">side</a>, but rear-end shots had yet to surface. Well, that's over. The concept -- now a confirmed product of the GM Design studios (note the plate in back), has large ducts in back that mimic the openings in front and presumably also hide the car's taillamps. Four big centrally-mounted exhaust outlets poke through the bodywork as well. Frankly, the rear view is the car's least appealing, with that chunky boattail mixed in with all those sharp angles. There's also a new detail shot of the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-2-corvette-on-set/934591/">front quarter</a>, which focuses on that very traditional Corvette fender shape. Is it just a movie character or also a concept that GM's going to drop on us somewhere along the line? Your guess is as good as ours, and the trickle of spy shots is probably far from over. <br /><br />[Source: <a href="http://jalopnik.com/398892/up+close-photos-of-mystery-corvette-concept-from-new-transformers-movie">Jalopnik</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/07/20/transformers-corvette-concept-shows-some-tush/">Transformers Corvette concept shows some tush</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Sun, 20 Jul 2008 12:29:00 EST. The GM love fest continues with new cast members like the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/06/20/chevy-trax-concept-joins-beat-on-i-tf2-i-set/">Chevy Beat and Trax</a> siblings, a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/07/16/best-shot-yet-of-the-transformers-2-mystery-vette/">mystery Corvette</a> and even the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/07/08/chevy-volt-to-make-an-appearance-in-transformers-sequel/">Chevy Volt</a>. With all of these new additions, along with what appears to be the entire cast from the first edition, keeping up is proving a bit difficult. With that in mind, those of you who don't mind viewing a few spoilers before actually seeing the flick, check out the ongoing and recently updated <a href="http://www.filmgrenade.com/2008/07/17/exclusive-transformers-2-characters-guide/">character guide</a> over at FiLM Grenade.<br /><br />Still can't get enough Transformers action? Check out some <a href="http://timflattery.com/transformers/popup.html">conceptual art</a> done by Tim Flattery. Though these particular drawings were made for the first film, the characters didn't make it into the movie. Some sources are claiming that we could see them appear in the upcoming sequel. <em>Thanks for the tips, 04volk and 94 Taurus Owner</em>!<br /><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.filmgrenade.com/2008/07/17/exclusive-transformers-2-characters-guide/">FiLM Grenade</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/07/20/spoiler-alert-film-grenade-runs-down-all-the-known-transformers/">Spoiler Alert! The new news is that one of its "triplet" siblings, the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/04/04/new-york-auto-show-chevy-trax-live-reveal-video/">Chevy Trax</a> concept, is joining it, as you can see above. The two are <a href="http://transformerslive.blogspot.com/2008/06/front-street-chase-pics-new-tf-car.html">chasing/following Bumblebee</a> on Philadelphia's JFK Boulevard. Proof of GM's new commitment to building more smaller, fuel-efficient cars, you ask? Eh, well, as you may remember, Trax and the third triplet, Groove, were <em>not </em>slated for production like the Beat, so this is (unfortunately) probably just a movie special. At least one Autoblogger is happy, though (raises hand), because Trax is the one he voted for last year. <a href="http://transformerslive.blogspot.com/2008/06/front-street-chase-pics-new-tf-car.html">Transformers Live Action Movie Blog</a> wonders if the Beat and Trax might be portraying the Autobot "Twins" in the sequel. Sacrilege? Well, if the movie Bumblebee can be a Camaro instead of a VW beetle, there's no reason <a href="http://www.unicron.us/tf1984/toypix/sideswipe.htm">Sideswipe</a> and <a href="http://www.unicron.us/tf1984/toypix/sunstreaker.htm">Sunstreaker</a> can't be Chevy-branded "world cars" instead of twin Countaches. If that turns out to be the case, though, it does kinda make one wish Lambo paid to be part of Michael Bay's party instead of <a href="http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=45884">Batman</a>. <br /><br />[Source: <a href="http://jalopnik.com/396597/surprise-chevy-trax-shows-up-on-set-of-transformers-2">Jalopnik</a> via <a href="http://transformerslive.blogspot.com/2008/06/front-street-chase-pics-new-tf-car.html">TFLAMB</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/06/20/chevy-trax-concept-joins-beat-on-i-tf2-i-set/">Chevy Trax concept joins Beat on <i>TF2</i> set</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 20 Jun 2008 10:57:00 EST.
