<br />
If you're a <a href="http://autoblog.com/make/jeep">Jeep</a> fan, than it's time to get excited ,because Easter is almost here. Why Easter? <strike>Eggs and candy!</strike> Because it signals the return of Jeep's Moab Easter Safari. This event is often a showcase for new products and concept vehicles from Chrysler's off-road brand.<br />
<br />
In the past, Jeep has used the Moab Easter Safari to show off concept vehicles like the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/13/mopar-underground-unveils-concept-jeeps-at-moab-safari/">Lower Forty</a>, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2010/03/12/chrysler-releases-new-moparized-concept-renderings-ahead-of-44/">Wrangler J7 and Trail Boss, Patriot Extreme and even the "Moparized" Ram Power Wagon</a>. This time around, for the 45th annual Safari event, Jeep is feature two new vehicles that invoke visions of an older period in Jeep's history: the Jeep Renegade and the Jeep "Porkchop."<br />
<br />
These are just two of the six vehicles that Jeep is bringing to Moab. The Easter Safari runs from April 16 through the 24.<br />

<div style="text-align: center;"><em><strong><small>Lorenzo Lamas Cycles - Click above for image gallery</small></strong></em></div>
<br /> Lorenzo Lamas, everybody's favorite Bold and Beautiful Renegade from the 1990s, has <a href="http://www.lorenzo-lamas.com/html/lorenzo_lamas_cycles.html">announced a new motorcycle company</a> named, imaginatively enough, Lorenzo Lamas Cycles. <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/12/06/steven-tylers-red-wing-motorcycles-changes-name-to-dirico-custo/">Just as Steven Tyler did</a> when he decided to get into the custom motorcycle scene, Lamas contacted an established builder, in this case Ralph Randolph of Knockout Motorcycles, to actually engineer and assemble the machines.<br /> <br /> So far, LLC has released four motorcycle renderings, two of which - the Reno Rocket and the Badlands Bomber - are slated for a public debut this week at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. All of LLC's machines seem to be based on production frames and will reportedly be equipped with Twin Cam engines from S&amp;S and tires from Avon.<br /> <br /> We're sure the timing of this announcement has nothing at all to do with the new <a href="http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/showtracker/2009/07/tca-press-tour-the-lamas-family-wants-to-use-reality-tv-to-heal.html">E! reality series</a> <em>The Lamas Life,</em> where Lorenzo will reportedly make amends with his son A.J. with whom he hasn't spoken in years. In any case, check out our gallery of the four LLC renderings below.<br /> <br /> <br /> <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/lorenzo-lamas-cycles">Lorenzo Lamas Cycles</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/lorenzo-lamas-cycles/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/08/lorenzo-cycle-1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="lorenzo-cycle-1" title="lorenzo-cycle-1" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/lorenzo-lamas-cycles/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/08/lorenzo-cycle-4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="lorenzo-cycle-4" title="lorenzo-cycle-4" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/lorenzo-lamas-cycles/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/08/lorenzo-cycle-3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="lorenzo-cycle-3" title="lorenzo-cycle-3" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/lorenzo-lamas-cycles/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/08/lorenzo-cycle-2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="lorenzo-cycle-2" title="lorenzo-cycle-2" /></a></div><br /> [Source: <a href="http://www.facebook.com/pages/LORENZO-LAMAS-CYCLES/111218931312">Lorenzo Lamas Cycles</a> | Image: <a href="http://www.lorenzolamas.info/eng/photogallery.php">lorenzolamas.info</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/08/04/lamarama-actor-lorenzo-lamas-launches-new-motorcycle-company/">Lamarama: Actor Lorenzo Lamas launches new motorcycle company</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 04 Aug 2009 16:59:00 EST. We actually find this one the most interesting, both in terms of design and feasibility. The Renegade features all-aluminum construction to keep its weight down, as well as what appears to be a parallel hybrid drivetrain consisting of the same 40-mile lithium-ion battery pack used in the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/11/20/detroit-2007-preview-chrysler-ecovoyager-concept/">Chrysler ecoVoyager Concept</a> sharing duties with a small-displacement BLUETEC diesel engine. Jeep claims the Renegade would be good for more than 110 miles per gallon, which we think is probably accurate. Hopefully we'll begin seeing fuel economy numbers like that when lithium-ion battery packs become more prevalent, as well as diesel engines for that matter. <br /><br />The Renegade's design is typical Jeep, focusing on adventure in all weather conditions. The speedster windshield and roll bar add some sportiness to the aesthetics, while the lower-door openings and hosable interior show it's a true Jeep with a trail-busting attitude. The lack of any front overhang and the vertical headlights give the front end an aerodynamic yet rugged look that we think works well Jeep's trademark seven-slot grille. <br /><br />That's the last of Chrysler's concept trio that we were given a sneak peak of today, though all will be present and accounted for in January at the Detroit Auto Show. We're not sure yet what the company plans to show in terms of production cars, redesigns and refreshes, but when we find out you'll be the first to know.<br /><br />[Source: Jeep]<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/jeep-renegade-concept">Jeep Renegade Concept</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/jeep-renegade-concept/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/11/cn008_001jp_high_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/jeep-renegade-concept/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/11/cn008_002jp_high_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/11/20/detroit-2008-preview-jeep-renegade-concept/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Detroit 2008 Preview: Jeep Renegade Concept</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/11/20/detroit-2008-preview-jeep-renegade-concept/">Detroit 2008 Preview: Jeep Renegade Concept</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 20 Nov 2007 14:31:00 EST.
