Front wheel drive is standard, while those looking to route those 250 ponies via additional paths can opt for AWD. <br /><br />The front fascia receives special Red Line attention, and out back, two large rectangular exhaust tips remind followers that they're not behind a garden-variety Vue. Inside, the RL gets an exclusive Ebony color scheme, along with suede inserts on the seating surfaces to keep butts properly planted when exploring the limits of the lowered suspension and fat wheel/tire package. <br /><br />Mike from <a href="http://www.autobloggreen.com">ABG</a> made the comment that this is a bit like a poor man's BMW X3, and we'd have to agree with that statement. <br /><br />Check out the <strong><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-saturn-vue-red-line-1/">gallery</a></strong> for additional shots of the Vue Red Line followed by the official press release after the jump.<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-saturn-vue-red-line-1">2008 Saturn VUE Red Line</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-saturn-vue-red-line-1/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/09/x08st_vu061_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-saturn-vue-red-line-1/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/09/x08st_vu054_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-saturn-vue-red-line-1/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/09/x08st_vu064_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-saturn-vue-red-line-1/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/09/x08st_vu060_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-saturn-vue-red-line-1/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/09/x08st_vu065_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/02/07/chicago-auto-show-the-2008-saturn-vue-red-line-shows-its-face/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Chicago Auto Show: The 2008 Saturn Vue Red Line shows its face</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/02/07/chicago-auto-show-the-2008-saturn-vue-red-line-shows-its-face/">Chicago Auto Show: The 2008 Saturn Vue Red Line shows its face</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 07 Feb 2007 14:27:00 EST. Visitors to McCormick Place will also get their first eyefuls of the 2008 Vue's performance and hybrid variants.<br /><br />The '08 Vue Red Line (above) gets a "performance-inspired" new look that's bound to have people talking (that may not necessarily be a good thing). The Red Line's front end is dominated by an enormous air opening below the front bumper, which is bookended by big secondary cutouts that house projector-beam foglights. The center cutout is so large, you'd expect to see an intercooler hiding behind it. Don't look for any forced induction here, though. The Vue Red line has the same powertrain as the Vue XR: GM's 250-horsepower 3.6L VVT V6 matched with a six-speed automatic with a manual-shift mode. Buyers can order it with either FWD or AWD. <br /><br />Follow the jump for more info on the Red Line, initial info on the Vue Green Line and GM's official press release. <br /><br />[Source: GM]<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-saturn-vue-red-line">2008 Saturn Vue Red Line &amp; Green Line</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-saturn-vue-red-line/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/02/08vue_redline_02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="2008 Saturn Vue Red Line" title="2008 Saturn Vue Red Line" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-saturn-vue-red-line/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/02/08vue_redline_01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="2008 Saturn Vue Red Line" title="2008 Saturn Vue Red Line" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-saturn-vue-red-line/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/02/08vue_greenline_01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="2008 Saturn Vue Green Line" title="2008 Saturn Vue Green Line" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-saturn-vue-red-line/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/02/08vue_greenline_02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="2008 Saturn Vue Green Line" title="2008 Saturn Vue Green Line" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-saturn-vue-red-line/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/02/08vue_greenline_03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="2008 Saturn Vue Green Line" title="2008 Saturn Vue Green Line" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/02/04/chicago-preview-08-saturn-vue-red-line-and-green-line/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Chicago Preview: '08 Saturn Vue Red Line &amp; Green Line</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/02/04/chicago-preview-08-saturn-vue-red-line-and-green-line/">Chicago Preview: '08 Saturn Vue Red Line &amp; Green Line</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Sun, 04 Feb 2007 00:01:00 EST. <p>"It's an Opel! It's&nbsp;a Vauxhall! No... it's a Saturn!" Even the haters are a little excited about
Saturn going all Madonna on everyone (you know, pretending she was born and raised in Europe all of a sudden).
The&nbsp;trio of Saturns set to appear at next month's New York&nbsp;Auto Show stand as shining examples of models GM
hopes will trigger a brand revitalization. The Saturn Sky Red Line (the planetary brand's counterpart to Pontiac's
Solstice GXP), sources the family 2.0-liter, 260 hp direct-injection&nbsp;turbo. The Saturn Aura (which looks
suspiciously like the Opel Astra), is the brand's call to the upscale, with an&nbsp;interior&nbsp;that is by far the
richest in the marque's stable.&nbsp; And finally, the Saturn Outlook, which goes into production later this year as an
8-person crossover based on GM's new CUV platform.&nbsp; The Sky Red Line will go on sale this fall, and the Aura hits
dealership lots this summer.</p>
<p>In related news, the&nbsp;Big Apple will also play host to the North American premiere of the Geneva Motor Show
favorite, Saab's Aero-X.</p>
<p>(The General's full release can be found after the jump)</p>
