<br />
Since the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/chrysler">Chrysler</a> Group joined up with <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/fiat">Fiat</a>, its brand portfolio has grown to include Chrysler, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/dodge">Dodge</a>, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/ram">Ram</a>, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/jeep">Jeep</a> and Fiat vehicles. And you know what that means: more stuff for <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/mopar">Mopar</a> to tinker with. That's just what Auburn Hills has got in store for the upcoming <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/sema/">SEMA</a> show in Vegas, with a whole slew of show cars to demonstrate just what the group's performance parts division can do.<br />
<br />
The Chrysler brand itself will be represented by the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/chrysler/300/">300</a> SF6, dedicated to the Spring Festival of Chrysler 300 owners in Southern California. It's distinguished by 22-inch alloys, a KW coil-over suspension and upgraded brakes, intake, headers and exhaust - all from the Mopar parts bin - plus special trim inside and out.<br />
<br />
Over at Dodge, the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/dodge/challenger+srt8/">Challenger SRT8</a> gets the ACR treatment with upgraded suspension, shifter, front splitter, exhaust and 20-inch wheels, capped by a paint job evocative of the much-loved <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/viper+acr">Viper ACR</a>. It's joined by the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/dodge/durango/">Durango</a> Tow Hook, decked out in orange and black with 22-inch rolling stock on a dropped suspension.<br />
<br />
Fiat continues to make the most of the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/fiat/500">500</a> with two specials called Titanium and Carbon. The former takes its name from the matte-finish brightwork and 16-inch wheels that contrast with the black paint, with enlarged grilles feeding the upgraded intake and exhaust systems. The latter, meanwhile, decks out a 500 Sport in deep blue with carbon-fiber accents and blacked-out trim and 17-inch alloys, riding on a lowered suspension.<br />
<br />
Finally, the Ram division is represented by the 392 Quick Silver, dropping a 470-horsepower Hemi V8 into the Ram R/T's engine bay. 22-inch wheels on a lowered suspension house 15-inch Brembo brakes to keep it under control, with a body glazed in silver with red accents and a black roof to do the talking.<br />
<br />
These are just five of the 30 "Moparized" vehicles Chrysler will be displaying at the aftermarket expo, and while they've only released four renderings to keep us tantalized, you can scope out all the details in the press release <a href="/2011/10/25/mopar-rolling-in-to-sema-with-challenger-acr-ram-392-and-more/#continued">after the jump</a>.<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2011/10/25/mopar-rolling-in-to-sema-with-challenger-acr-ram-392-and-more/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Mopar rolling into SEMA with Challenger ACR, Ram 392 and more</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2011/10/25/mopar-rolling-in-to-sema-with-challenger-acr-ram-392-and-more/">Mopar rolling into SEMA with Challenger ACR, Ram 392 and more</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 25 Oct 2011 17:31:00 EST. <div align="center"><em><strong><small>Click above for a hi-res gallery of the Dodge Ram R/T</small><br /></strong></em></div>
<br />Stuck among the largely forgettable production vehicles at the Chrysler, LLC display is this Mopar-enhanced Ram R/T. Originally shown at SEMA, B5 Blue (we think) covers its bodywork, which is very close to the ground thanks to a new set of springs and shocks. Kumho-shod, 22-inch forged wheels are stuffed into the cutouts. In front, the Challenger-style hood rocks a set of SRT stripes, the headlamp housings are blacked out, and a new front bumper with chin spoiler threatens to scrape against any obstacle taller than a praying mantis. Out back, a body-colored bed cover thwarts prying eyes, and a pair of fat polished exhaust tips pokes under the rear bumper. Inside, you'll find color-keyed inserts and R/T embroidery on the seats. Overall, this thing looks pretty mean, especially when its surrounded with your garden variety Dakotas and Durangos. <br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/detroit-2009-dodge-ram-r-t-accessorized">Detroit 2009: Dodge Ram R/T Accessorized</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/detroit-2009-dodge-ram-r-t-accessorized/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/01/ram_rt_acc_1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/detroit-2009-dodge-ram-r-t-accessorized/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/01/ram_rt_acc_2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/detroit-2009-dodge-ram-r-t-accessorized/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/01/ram_rt_acc_3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/detroit-2009-dodge-ram-r-t-accessorized/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/01/ram_rt_acc_4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/detroit-2009-dodge-ram-r-t-accessorized/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/01/ram_rt_acc_5_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><em><strong><small>Photos copyright (C)2009 Alex N&uacute;&ntilde;ez / Weblogs, Inc.</small></strong></em><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/01/13/detroit-2009-dodge-ram-r-t-accessorized/">Detroit 2009: Dodge Ram R/T Accessorized</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 13 Jan 2009 15:28:00 EST. On hand was the new 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 R/T, which we haven't had a chance to see until now. The '09 Ram R/T will pull up to the line with a 5.7L HEMI V8 tuned to 390 horsepower and 407 pound-feet of torque and a 5-speed AutoStick transmission, as well as a host of exterior upgrades including a new front bumper, blacked out grille, dual exhaust, chrome 5-spoke wheels and body-color everything. The amazing thing is that the engine will scoot this short-box, two-wheel drive truck to 60 mph in less than six seconds, according to Chrysler. If that sounds a little too good to be true for a pickup with less than 400 horsepower, credit should go to the "loose" torque converter that allows less slip compared to a normal automatic. The shifts are more aggressive than in a normal Ram and the unique torque converter does degrade fuel economy a bit, but that should be none of your concern by nature of the fact that you're interested in a sport truck to begin with. Check out source link for a more detailed explanation of the "loose" torque converter from Mike Levine at Pickuptrucks.com, and view all the visual upgrades worn by the 2009 Ram R/T in our gallery below.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-dodge-ram-1500-r-t">2009 Dodge Ram 1500 R/T</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-dodge-ram-1500-r-t/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/06/000_09ramrt_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-dodge-ram-1500-r-t/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/06/001_09ramrt_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-dodge-ram-1500-r-t/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/06/002_09ramrt_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-dodge-ram-1500-r-t/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/06/003_09ramrt_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-dodge-ram-1500-r-t/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/06/004_09ramrt_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.pickuptrucks.com/html/2009/dodge/ram/rt/introducing-the-dodge-ram-1500-rt.html">Pickuptrucks.com</a>, photos courtesy of Ian Merritt, <a href="http://www.cars.com">Cars.com</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/06/30/meet-the-2009-dodge-ram-1500-r-t/">Meet the 2009 Dodge Ram 1500 R/T</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 30 Jun 2008 16:41:00 EST. You know how you usually click right past them? Sometimes, they're worth paying attention to. If you visit to the <a href="http://www.dodge.com/en/2009/ram_1500/videos/index.html?parent=videos&amp;child=video_rambox">2009 Dodge Ram website</a>, you're treated to a tour of the truck by Ralph Gilles and Mark Allen. Before the design guys give their spiel, however, you get a very brief glimpse of a poster showing '09 Ram body styles and options/accessories. There, clear as day, is a shot of the forthcoming Ram R/T.<br /><br />When the new Ram was initially unveiled, PickupTrucks.com <a href="http://www.pickuptrucks.com/html/autoshows/naias2008/dodge/page5.html">confirmed</a> that the R/T was indeed on the way. Word at the time was that the R/T would be a standard-cab, 4x2, short-bed truck with a HEMI, 5-speed auto, and a 4.10 rear axle ratio. As you can see in the photo at right, the truck gets a monochrome treatment (<em>a la</em> the<a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-dodge-ram-1/576938/"> Ram Sport</a>), a deep chin spoiler, and a hood reminiscent of the one used on the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-dodge-challenger-r-t-and-se/706604/">Challenger R/T</a> and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-dodge-challenger-srt8-4/625255/">SRT8</a>. As PickupTrucks.com reported, expect the Ram R/T's powertrain combo to deliver a sub-7 second 0-60 time. It'll be interesting to see the R/T's marketplace reception, given that gas prices are likely to continue climbing for the foreseeable future. Unfortunately for Chrysler, it's a less-than-perfect environment for welcoming a new performance-oriented truck. Nothing a little <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/05/05/chrysler-to-guarantee-gas-at-2-99-a-gallon-for-three-years/">cash on the hood and a locked-in gas price</a> can't fix, right? <em>Thanks for the tip, David!<br /><br /></em>[Source: <a href="http://www.dodge.com/en/2009/ram_1500/videos/index.html?parent=videos&amp;child=video_rambox">Dodge</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/05/08/first-peek-2009-dodge-ram-r-t/">First Peek: 2009 Dodge Ram R/T</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 08 May 2008 08:30:00 EST.
