Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies has announced that Dow Chemical placed a 100-plus unit order for it's plug-in hybrid Ford F-150. This order, according to Quantum, marks the official launch of its F-150 PHEV.

Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies announced that it has developed a plug-in hybrid version of America's best-selling vehicle, the Ford F-150. Quantum says that its plug-in F-150 was specifically designed for the demanding fleet use and claims that the truck will be capable of matching the performance of a conventional F-150, while offering substantially improved fuel economy and emitting less CO2.

Alongside the Mazda RX-8 Hydrogen RE seen at the opening of Norway's first hydrogen station last week, Quantum Fuel Systems Technologies Worldwide, Inc. delivered four fifteen hydrogen-fueled Toyota Prius hybrid vehicles to Miljobil Grenland AS. The four are the first of fifteen such Priuses Quantum will deliver to Miljobil Grenland, which is a participant and vehicle provider to the Norwegian Hydrogen Highway (HyNor).
