Perhaps you've heard: two young Britons are getting hitched on Friday, April 29th, 2011. To mark the occasion, the groom, one William Arthur Philip Louis Mountbatten-Windsor, better known as Prince William of Wales, and his bride-to-be, Kate Middleton, have been "honored" by exotic car customizer, Project Kahn.

The Project Kahn Wedding Commemorative Maybach 57 (what, no Bentleys or Rolls-Royces lying around the shop, guys?) is a <strike>blatant PR grab</strike> "tribute" to the new royal couple that will <strike>have nothing at all to do with the royal wedding itself</strike> reside at Project Kahn's Bradford headquarters. The touched-up super Benz features Kahn-designed 22-inch wheels, smoked glass, an upgraded interior and darkened taillamps. It also wears the license plate, "4 HRH", which means For His Royal Highness.
Silver Jeep Wrangler by Project Kahn - Click above for image gallery

The last time a Jeep looked this at home in Europe, it was helping American forces liberate the old world from Nazi occupation. But that was another era. Europe is a new place today - necessity having mandated the rebuilding of so many bombed-out cities - but the Jeep Wrangler (or the older Civilian Jeeps in their various incarnations) has remained a constant. So the people at Project Kahn evidently thought it was about due for a modern makeover.

Kahn's silver Jeep Wrangler is more about the whole than the sum of its parts, but to get it there, Kahn and company dropped the suspension, fitted 20-inch alloys, retrofitted the interior and, apparently, gave it a proper respray. The result (that is, an off-road workhorse with a dropped suspension and oversize wheels) sits at just about the opposite end of the spectrum from the recently-announced Mopar JK-8 Independence kit, and may make about as much sense as the proverbial screen door on a submarine. That said, we've got to admit it looks the business... whatever business that might be. See for yourself in the high-res image gallery below.

Range Rover Sport RS500 by Project Kahn and Cosworth - Click above for high-res image gallery

There's a grand tradition to enormously powerful and torquey diesel sport-utes. Most of them come from the Volkswagen group - like the Touareg V10 or the Audi Q7 V12 TDI - but this, as you might have guessed, is no VW. It's a Range Rover, uut one that's been thoroughly worked over.

The modifications have been carried out through the joint efforts of Project Kahn and Cosworth - two British tuners that have been working together for the past couple of years. Their latest product started life as the thoroughly capable and luxurious Range Rover Sport with the 4.4-liter V8 diesel. With 313 horsepower, the diesel Rover is hardly a slouch, but Cosworth has taken it a step further (and then some) by squeezing out a whopping 500 horsepower.

To go with the massive upgrade in output, Kahn has given the Range Rover an extensive cosmetic update both inside and out, with new bumpers from and rear, side skirts, 22-inch wheels and an interior decked out in billet aluminum and perforated & quilted leather trim. Check it out in the high-res image gallery below.

It's not every day that a new Range Rover is introduced. But when one is, you can count on Azfal Kahn and his crew to go to work on it. And the new Evoque appears to be no exception.

Beyond the photo above, all Project Kahn has released so far about its tuning program for the Evoque is that (a) it's working on one, (b) it's coming some time in the new year and (c) it'll be powered by Cosworth. Kahn has worked with the racing engine manufacturer on previous projects, so that's no big revelation by itself, but it'll be interesting to see what the two British firms have got in store for the new baby Rover beyond a set of flashy rims.

As luxury sport-utes go, the Land Rover Range Rover Sport is one heck of a machine. But if your neighborhood or office parking lot is already jam-packed with 'em, you may want to set yours apart as something unique. Something that really smolders. The Vesuvius edition from Project Kahn ought to do the trick.

The Vesuvius edition was previously issued on the original Range Rover Sport, but now that LR has updated the its muscle-bound SUV, so has Kahn. The Vesuvius edition features a full color-keyed aero package, an interior decked out in quilted and perforated leather, plus custom 22-inch wheels that have a surprisingly 'factory' look to them. The orange-and-black motif is finished off with special touches like a carbon-fiber umbrella and a custom watch made to match the vehicle. Check it out in the gallery below.

If you want, say, a custom Chevrolet Corvette or Mercedes-Benz, there's no shortage of aftermarket tuners who'd be glad to help. If your taste (and budget) demand something a little more opulent, however, then there are only a handful of companies at your service. And one of them is Project Kahn.

After taking on the likes of Bentley and Rolls-Royce, the British tuner has released a catalog of modifications for the Maybach 57. Good thing, too, because the top-shelf Benz could use some help. The package includes special 22-inch wheels designed to accommodate the factory wheel hubs (lest a passer-by mistake this for an S-Class), smoked taillights, tinted privacy glass and an interior that can be fully trimmed to order (not that the standard Maybach couldn't have been in the first place). And with the sky the limit on customization, we're going to go out on a limb here and wager that the price is, too. Images in the gallery below.

Few cars epitomize "the good life" quite like the Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe. But for some people, good isn't good enough. And for those people, there's Project Kahn, the blingtastic British tuning house which has just debuted its own custom DHC.

Central to Kahn's package are the special Silver Mist rims, specially made for the Rolls. They measure 22 inches in diameter, a steam-rolling 9.5-inches wide and are able to accept the RR hubs that keep themselves right-side-up. The package also includes a polished grille, special elm-wood veneers, embossed headrests, piano-lacquer steering wheel spokes, iPod connectivity and lambs' wool rugs. Kahn's treatment of the exclusive cabriolet adds another $50k to the bottom line, but somehow we doubt that anyone looking to buy a new Rolls these days would be deterred by some extra pocket change.

Gallery: Project Kahn Rolls-Royce DHC

Continue reading The Phantom Menace: Project Kahn mods the Rolls-Royce Drophead Coupe

The Phantom Menace: Project Kahn mods the Rolls-Royce Drophead Coupe originally appeared on Autoblog on Thu, 08 Jan 2009 15:01:00 EST.
If you haven't been living in a cave, shut off from the fantastic world of European supercars for the past decade, then you'll likely know that Aston Martin has been hard at work on a succession of new flagships since the vaunted Vanquish. But Aston Martin is an automaker deeply rooted in its heritage, so even after discontinuing the Vanquish, it came back to give it some upgrades. Now, noted British tuning house Project Kahn has followed suite by revisiting the Vanquish S with a new interior package.

Kahn's vision for the Vanquish's interior includes a custom dashboard, center console, seats, door panels, steering wheel and roof lining decked out in the customer's choice of contrasting Nappa and Alcantara leather trim, deliciously perforated and top-stitched. Piano lacquer trim panels and smoked privacy glass also form part of the delectable package. Of course Vanquish owners could probably find any number of upholsterers eager and willing to work up a fresh take on the erstwhile Aston flagship's cockpit, but Kahn presents a compelling option. Follow the jump for the press release and check out the high-resolution images in the gallery below.

Afzal Kahn has made unobtainable exotics even more incredible with kits for the McMerc SLR and the Aston Martin DB9S, along with providing parts for more subdued offerings, like the LR2 and Audi A8, not to mention the Rolls-Royce Phantom. Now, Kahn is teaming up with Cosworth to blend its extreme aero mods with the legendary engine tuner to create the ultimate in road-going rockets. Fortunately or unfortunately, their first joint endeavor will be a tuned version of the Range Rover Sport, dubbed the Cosworth 300. They've only provided a teaser image (right), but expect all the details to be released later this year.

[Source: Project Kahn via WCF]
Kahn and Cosworth to dominate aftermarket tuning together originally appeared on Autoblog on Fri, 18 Apr 2008 17:28:00 EST.
There isn't much left to do with a supercar. That's why they're called "super." Tuners of late, thankfully, seemed to be restraining themselves from going buck wild on them. On that note, with traditional British understatement, the tuning house Project Kahn has taken the Mercedes McLaren SLR and done, well, not all that much to it.

The car gets Kahn's trademark RS-X wheels, 20-inch up front and 21's in the rear. It also gets a 60 HP power boost to 677, a lowered suspension and high-flow pipes. Kahn expands on the smattering of colors that Mercedes offers by providing custom leather upholstery and paint jobs. Sure, it's not much, but at this level of the financial stratosphere, every little bit of individual luxury counts, no?

They've already tackled the Bentley Continetal GT, adding a body kit and other mods that take the elegantly styled coupe in a slightly different direction. And now they have taken on the Aston Martin DB9, a car many consider to be nearly perfect as is.

But just as Aston themselves have done with the new DBS version of the car, Project Kahn has added a body kit that takes away the slightly soft and purely elegant edge and replaced it with a more track-like lower treatment that gives the car a boy racer look and adds a certain edge to the design. For your 6,699-pound investment, you get a body kit that includes the revised front and rear bumpers, side skirts and decklid spoiler. For an extra 4,000 you can get the 20" Kahn RSV wheels, the very same wheels fitted to the Aston Martin DBS prototype.

Really it just seems like an easy way for current DB9 owners to get closer to the look of a DBS without dealing with another dealership experience. For good or bad, it is different and definitely more aggressive. For a further explanation of their newest product, read the Project Kahn release on the next page and check out the gallery below.

[Source: WorldCarFans]

Gallery: Project Kahn Aston Martin DB9S

Continue reading Project Kahn reveals Aston Martin DB9S

Project Kahn reveals Aston Martin DB9S originally appeared on Autoblog on Thu, 23 Aug 2007 12:33:00 EST.
