But according to AutoTelegraaf, Audi plans to launch a "Plus" version of its insane estate towards the end of the RS6 life cycle. According to the Dutch site, Audi insiders said that a new "Plus" version would go on sale sometime in 2011, just as the A6 is about to get a mild facelift. The "Plus" will supposedly receive tweaks to its suspension and engine, with the V10 producing 613 horsepower.<br /><br />This wouldn't be the first time Audi offered a "Plus" variant of the RS6. The original, C5-based RS6, built from 2002 to 2004, got a boost in output during the last three months of production, netting an additional 30 hp (from 450 hp to 480 hp), through the use of a remapped ECU and two additional radiators mounted behind the intercoolers. The Plus version also benefited from standard DRC, 19-inch wheels and a sports suspension that dropped the wagon 10mm. Production was limited to just 999 units.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-audi-rs6-avant-2/low/">2008 Audi RS6 Avant</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-audi-rs6-avant-2/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/09/031_rs6_iaax_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-audi-rs6-avant-2/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/09/022_rs6_iaax_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-audi-rs6-avant-2/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/09/016_rs6_iaax_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-audi-rs6-avant-2/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/09/043_rs6_iaax_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-audi-rs6-avant-2/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/09/046_rs6_iaa_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.telegraaf.nl/autotelegraaf/3729869/_Audi_RS6_Plus_onderweg__.html?cid=rss">AutoTelegraaf</a> via <a href="http://www.worldcarfans.com/9080515.014/audi-rs-6-avant-plus-set-to-return">WCF</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/05/15/rumormill-audi-considering-more-powerful-rs6-avant/">Rumormill: Audi considering more powerful RS6 Avant</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 15 May 2008 15:27:00 EST. <p>Volkswagen's popular Golf keeps inching closer and closer to the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/07/28/vw-tiguan-begins-to-take-shape/">Tiguan</a> SUV it will spawn. VW has taken the wraps off its latest soft-roader: the Golf Plus Cross (a.k.a. CrossGolf), which adds to the <em>embiggened </em>Golf Plus with raised suspension and revised trim, similar to the treatment received by the smaller CrossPolo. It's aimed at doing to the Golf Plus what Audi's Allroad did for its A6.</p>
<p>The Golf Plus Cross is treated to SUV-style bumpers front and back, roof rails, minimal side body-cladding and wheel arches surrounding the new 17" alloys. No word yet on whether the little cute-ute will get all wheel drive when it goes on sale in Europe this coming January. Four engines will be available. The gasoline engines are the 102 HP 1.6L and the 140 HP 1.4 TSI. Naturally, there are diesels as well: a 105 HP 1.9 TDI and a 2.0 TDI with 140 horsepower.<br /></p>
