Aston Martin One-77 does the 'Ring again - Click above to watch video after the jump

Today's word from the audio dictionary is "Bellow," one of whose verb forms is defined as "a loud deep sound, as of pain or anger." We're going to be on the side of angry today.

But you can't really understand those words until you watch, and listen to, the latest video of an Aston Martin One-77 (the infamous Dirty Shirley, perhaps?) testing its chops and its pipes at the Nürburgring. Along the way it runs down other 'Ring runners like an R8 and a Ford Focus, but it's likely all they registered was a blur and a bawl. Perhaps even a bellow, if you will. What's better than a seven-figure supercar with 700 horsepower? How about a seven-figure roadster with 700 horsepower? Well, that may be a matter of personal opinion, but Aston Martin never shies away from the subject, churning out open-top versions of most of its range.

Along with the Rapide, Cygnet and the V12 Vantage (the eight-cylinder version available as a roadster), the One-77 is one of the only vehicles in Aston Martin's range that isn't available as a convertible. Not yet, at least. But that's the beauty of the digital age: anything you can imagine in your mind can be imagined on the internet. In this case, we have to thank one Theophilus Chin, the self-styled "automotive manipulator" who has rendered what an open-top One-77 Volante might look like. And to our eyes, it looks enticing. Laced with shadowy images of details of the upcoming Aston Martin One-77, the company has released their second video teaser for the new supercar. Comparing it to the company's legendary limited production DB4GT Zagato, the One-77 is said to be the "Embodiment of Aston Martin." AM tell us it should feel like it's been tailored to the driver and that it has new technologies, exclusive components and handmade body panels. The talking heads call it a piece of art and then go on to describe how this piece of art will behave, with unbelievable performance, programmable control feedback and an exhaust note beyond compare. As we've reported before, only 77 examples will be built, all powered by a hand-built 7.0-liter V12 capable of pushing the carbon fiber beast from 0-60 in 3.5-seconds, with a top speed north of 200 mph. All for just £1 million... and it's already sold out. The full video is after the jump. Aston Martin promises the next video in January 2009.

It's not every day that a new supercar is announced. But those are the good days, and for when they roll around, Jon Sibal is ready. The gifted illustrator who has already brought us renderings of the upcoming Mercedes SLR McLaren Speedster and a race-prepped Lexus LF-A has now taken a stab at the upcoming Aston Martin One-77.

The new flagship supercar from Aston Martin was announced earlier this month and accompanied by a few teaser renderings from the factory. Those were followed by a rather uninspired speculative conception of what form the carbon-fiber supercar would take, and though we're not sure what to make of Sibal's take on the subject, it does appear to be rather accurate. We just hope the One-77 looks better in the flesh, as we've come to expect more from the company that brought us the DBS and the V8 Vantage.
