Just in from Lamborghini, a very nebulous pre-release that reads only:

"It's not just a new Lamborghini. It's a new world."

The above photo accompanies it, showing only a center-exit exhaust, some rear grillework, and a carbon fiber diffuser. And that's it. Commence guessing in the comments below. Lambo's letting the cat out of the bag on October 1st, and we're as curious as everyone else right now.

[Source: Lamborghini]
Paris Preview: Lamborghini teases new mystery car originally appeared on Autoblog on Tue, 16 Sep 2008 11:18:00 EST. So far, we've seen good views of the car from the front and side, but rear-end shots had yet to surface. Well, that's over. The concept -- now a confirmed product of the GM Design studios (note the plate in back), has large ducts in back that mimic the openings in front and presumably also hide the car's taillamps. Four big centrally-mounted exhaust outlets poke through the bodywork as well. Frankly, the rear view is the car's least appealing, with that chunky boattail mixed in with all those sharp angles. There's also a new detail shot of the front quarter, which focuses on that very traditional Corvette fender shape. Is it just a movie character or also a concept that GM's going to drop on us somewhere along the line? Your guess is as good as ours, and the trickle of spy shots is probably far from over.

[Source: Jalopnik]
Transformers Corvette concept shows some tush originally appeared on Autoblog on Sun, 20 Jul 2008 12:29:00 EST. The item description reads like a manifesto about the seller's annoyances with eBay's communication tools for prospective buyers and sellers. The multicolor text is a particularly nice touch, too; reminds us of "Web 0.5," back in the '90s. We do like how the unvarnished truth makes its way through, though. The message is simple, and the call to action is even better: "Buy it anyway, it does not run but the parts are all there." Excellent. Can't argue with success, though -- the feedback is largely positive.

As for what it is -- we haven't the foggiest. We almost detect a bit of '70s VW Type 2 in the corner lamps, but the rest of what's there doesn't square with that. Even if they are Type 2 lamps, that's not surprising considering the ubiquity of those vehicles and their parts back then. It looks more like some sort of industrial flatbed, for use on the grounds of a large facility. Check out the rims, they're what, 13-inches at best, and probably more like 10s? We're sure one of you sharp-eyed readers will be able to decipher that insignia that looks like a flying A and tell us just what we have here.

Thanks for the tip, GD!
eBay Find of the Day: "I don't know what it is and I don't care" originally appeared on Autoblog on Mon, 18 Jun 2007 18:55:00 EST.
