In June of 2009, Mitsubishi Motors kicked off production of its electric city car, the i-MiEV. A month later, the egg-shaped electric commuter hit the Japanese market. In October of this year, Mitsubishi's left-hand drive European-spec i-MiEV was slotted into the production schedule.
