In June of 2009, Mitsubishi Motors kicked off production of its electric city car, the i-MiEV. A month later, the egg-shaped electric commuter hit the Japanese market. In October of this year, Mitsubishi's left-hand drive European-spec i-MiEV was slotted into the production schedule.

Cruising down the Trans Canada Highway, a sharp-eyed Reddit user (nupogodi) noticed an unusual sight: a Mitsubishi i-MiEV pulled off to the side of the road. With these prerequisites, the electric vehicles (EVs) have virtually unlimited range, right?
