Auto Bild reports that AMG is considering a successor the Mercedes SLR McLaren, debating whether to build a 650-hp front-engined or a 1,050-hp mid-engined coupe.
Although we're still not entirely sure what Mercedes is planning to call its new sub-SLS coupe, more potential information about the car is starting to come to light. After Mercedes released official "spy shots" (shown above) back in June, Auto Express is saying that we might have to wait until 2015 to see this production version on the road.
Redefining the term "enough is enough", the owner of this car is said to have had his SLR gold-chromed. The strangest part is that, according to reports, this is actually the same Mercedes SLR McLaren that was previously spied in Dubai with a silver-chrome treatment. We're not sure about the accuracy of this model considering it has a different rear spoiler, different wheels (which have also been gold-chromed) and darker taillight frame like those on later versions of the Anglo-Saxon supercar, n
