If you're looking for a big SUV with big muscle, Mercedes has plenty to offer from its own AMG range. But if even that's not enough, Brabus is here with some even more tantalizing options on offer. Set to debut next month at the Frankfurt Show is the Brabus B63S 700 Widestar. The package is available for both the ML63 and GL63 AMG, but the bottom line is the same: 700 horsepower and 708 lb-ft of torque, making these modified SUVs even more powerful and almost as torquey as the twelve-cylinder G6

We're packing up our cameras and laptops and heading out of the Los Angeles Convention Center, but before we seal the lid on the 2011 LA Auto Show, it's time to reflect on our staff's favorite debuts of the past two days. Mercedes-Benz is reportedly facing a class-action lawsuit in the U.S. District Court of New Jersey for alleged defects in the company's M156 V8. According to the plaintiffs, premature internal wear occurs because the engine uses cast nodular iron camshafts and 9310-grade steel valves. Something about that combination causes early failure, either due to improper offset of the components or inadequate heat treating. The plaintiffs also allege that Mercedes-Benz and AMG have known about the issue s
The ML 63 AMG also gets the exterior tweaks, but adds a meaner front bumper with an even larger radiator grille, bigger fog lamps and a corrugated chromed undergaurd that trumps the base model's in both its inability to guard anything level of gaudiness. The grille also features just two horizontal cross bars rather than the cheese grader effect on standard MLs. The chrome undergaurd also appears on the new rear apron through which two pairs of chrome tailpipes peek out. New 20-inch 5-spoke AMG
