<br />
Please excuse us while we take a little trip down <a href="http://www.tmz.com/">TMZ</a> lane. Word on the web is we now know who will be replacing <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/12/video-transformers-2-clip-shows-megan-fox-tussling-with-wheelie/">Megan Fox</a> in the next scintillating Transformers flick. Shia Labeouf will be locking lips with none other than Rosie Huntington-Whitley. Who is that, exactly? Good question. Huntington-Whiteley has spent the majority of her days prancing down a runway in her unmentionables as a Victoria Secret model. The best part? The 23 year-old model-turned actress doesn't have a drop of acting experience. The jokes write themselves.<br />
<br />
Fox was reportedly <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2010/05/20/report-transformers-3-will-not-have-megan-fox/">kicked out of the story line</a> to give the main character a new love interest, though rumor was that the actress had also spent her off time berating director Michael Bay for any number of perceived character flaws. Our guess is Bay got tired of hearing the insults and told Fox to take a hike. Now back to your regularly scheduled content.<br />

<br />
For all the talk of heavyweight star power, in all but the most extreme cases, it is directors that have the most power on the set, not the celebrities. That's apparently how it happens that Michael Bay has removed Megan Fox from <em>Transformers 3</em>, who is said to have insulted Bay at almost every chance she got, calling him Hitler, Napoleon, a "nightmare to work for," and "hopelessly awkward." Actually, that last comment she meant to be a compliment.<br />
<br />
The official line is that Fox was cut because "giving Shia a new love interest makes more sense for the story." If you buy that one of the most popular features of the franchise needed to be replaced - or that Sam Witwicky was looking for a hotter, more badass accomplice, well, we've got a few other things we'd like to sell you. We'll wait to find out who Michael Bay's got in mind to replace her, and who knows - casting hopefuls might be busy <a href="http://thesuperficial.com/2009/07/michael_bay_has_secret_audtion.php">learning how to wash his Ferrari</a> as we speak...<br />

<br />
If there's one thing the paparazzi is good for, it's stalking the likes of <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/12/video-transformers-2-clip-shows-megan-fox-tussling-with-wheelie/">Megan Fox</a>. And while we could usually care less about the comings and goings of the Xbox crowd's favorite young starlet, occasionally she wanders into our neck of the interwebs by getting dangerously close to cars like the new Bumblebee <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/chevrolet/camaro">Camaro</a>. Fox is currently shooting the next installment of the explosion-rich Transformers saga, and was spotted parading around what appears to be the next iteration of everyone's favorite plucky <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/08/28/video-autobots-on-the-roll/">Autobot</a>.<br />
<br />
Judging from the photos, the biggest changes to the car include a new stripe design that carries over onto the roof of the car, as well as a not-so-subtle rear wing. The next <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/20/chevy-to-launch-limted-edition-bumblebee-camaro/">Bumblebee</a> looks to retain its concept-car sideview mirrors, though a selection of carbon-fiber aero additions join the changes as well. If you look close, you can spot Autobot badges in all the right places, too.<br />
<br />
Is this what the next Chevrolet Camaro Bumblebee Edition will look like? Given how closely GM is tied into the franchise, it wouldn't surprise us. <br />

<div style="text-align: center;"><small><span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;">Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen - click above for high-res gallery</span></small></div>
<br /> We may have found this summer's blockbuster, <em>Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen</em> to be <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/26/transformers-revenge-of-the-fallen-great-action-even-worse-sto/">heavy on the sizzle and lean on the meat</a>, but that doesn't mean we've written off the series - after all, it's hard to dismiss excellent CG work, the childhood toys of our youth... to say nothing of that siren Megan Fox. <br /> <br /> Thankfully, director Michael Bay informs us via his official website that the next installment is already in the works, and it's been assigned a release date - July 1 of 2011. That's a long time from now, granted, but Bay intimates in his blog post that Megan Fox has already signed on for the TF3 project, and hopefully Shia LaBeouf will make the scene too. Bay is already meeting with Hasbro to discuss new characters, so we'd expect a few new transforming automobiles to show up as well. <br /> <br /> Here's hoping that they have enough time to craft a script that lives up to the special effects. <br /> <br /> <br /> <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen">Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/tf2screenshots000_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/tf2screenshots001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/tf2screenshots002_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/tf2screenshots003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/tf2screenshots004_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /> [Source: <a href="http://www.michaelbay.com/newsblog/files/a2bd79bb4c222b807e27707aaf1497e6-570.html">MichaelBay.com</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/10/02/mark-your-calendars-michael-bay-says-i-transformers-3-i-comi/">Mark Your Calendars: Michael Bay says <i>Transformers 3</i> coming... on July 1, 2011</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 02 Oct 2009 17:29:00 EST. Got a minute? Literally, just a minute, 'cause you're going to want to see this. And then you're going to want to know where you can get one for Halloween.<br /> <br /> Crafting a suit to look like a Transformer is one thing, but this video, apparently taken at a Chevrolet dealership in Mexico, shows a guy in a Bumblebee suit that actually transforms into a Camaro! Okay, so it's not a real Camaro. It doesn't drive, it doesn't chase after Megan Fox or save the planet from evil robots from outer space. For that, you need Michael Bay and a whole lotta CGI. But short of that, this is about as freakin' awesome as it gets. At least according to <a href="http://uk.madbid.com/">Madbid.com</a>, a British auction site (&pound;1,000 cash for &pound;8.06) that arranges celebrity auctions for charity. First, which celebrity topped the list? The sultry, three-kinds of sexy Megan Fox, of course. Second place was British singer/soccer wife Cheryl Cole, third place was Angelina Jolie and fourth place went to Katie Price, sort of a younger, trashier English version of Pamela Anderson with much larger breast implants. <br /> <br /> But never mind any of that, the #5 celebrity that British men would most like to go on a date with? Jezza, Hamster and Captain Slow. That's right, the <em>Top Gear</em> gang. Hmmm. We know most Brit males have sexual predilections that would make us Yanks blush, but... a date with James May? Really? Here's an American top tip for our brothers in Old Blighty: instead of calling it a date, say "people you would most like to have a beer with."<br /> <br /> This whole thing is reminiscent of a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2005/12/12/jeremy-clarkson-more-popular-than-angelina-jolie-in-uk/">report from 2005</a> when 25% of UK men wanted Jeremy Clarkson in their passenger seat, compared to only 17% for Angelina Jolie. To paraphrase James May, "I've ridden with Jeremy - you're all daft."<br /> <br /> [Source: <a href="http://newslite.tv/2009/07/30/men-want-to-buy-a-date-with-me.html">News Lite</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/08/04/no-5-celebrity-that-uk-men-most-want-to-have-a-date-with-the/">No. 5 celebrity that U.K. men most want to have a date with: The <i>Top Gear</i> crew?</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 04 Aug 2009 10:56:00 EST. <br />Yesterday, not long after <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/07/08/video-chevrolet-targets-gay-demographic-with-new-camaro-marketi/">we posted a story about a gay-centered General Motors marketing video</a> for Chevrolet's new Camaro, the video was mysteriously pulled from YouTube. As it turns out, GM itself has copped to the disappearing act, as it reportedly ordered the popular video hosting site to yank the footage.<br /><br />According to a <em>USA Today </em>article, GM spokesman Dave Barthmuss felt that the video - which featured a pair of so-called 'go go boys in Camaro-branded underwear washing a new 2010 model - was "not appropriate and not in good taste." The footage was filmed as part of a <em>Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen</em> gay day promotion at a Hollywood movie theater.<br /><br />Despite pulling the video, GM has reportedly launched a more concerted campaign to broaden the scope of its marketing efforts as it applies to the Camaro, with more overt efforts to target gays, bisexuals and the transgendered. It is not immediately clear what (if any) effect pulling the footage will have on the rest of the automaker's p.r. efforts.<br /><br />[Sources: <a href="http://content.usatoday.com/communities/driveon/post/2009/07/68493948/1">USA Today</a>; <a href="http://www.mlive.com/auto/index.ssf/2009/07/gm_orders_youtube_to_remove_ca.html">Mlive</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/07/09/followup-gm-orders-youtube-to-remove-tasteless-gay-camaro-pro/">FOLLOWUP: GM orders YouTube to remove "tasteless" gay Camaro promo video?</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 09 Jul 2009 14:32:00 EST. <br />Michael Bay may never win the Best Director Oscar, but he sure does know how to get the most out of his actors during their auditions. U.K. broadcaster Jason Solomons wrote in a recent column that Bay had Ms. Megan Fox wash his (unspecified) Ferrari at his home as part of her audition for her role in the first <em><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/26/transformers-revenge-of-the-fallen-great-action-even-worse-sto/">Transformers</a></em> movie. And since Bay was doing "official" auditions, he apparently recorded every minute of it. <br /><br /> Solomons reportedly asked Fox if she knew where the footage was, and he says she was unsure where the footage was, adding that she was "concerned" as to where it may be. According to Solomons, Bay all but confirmed the tape's existence, allegedly saying "Er, I don't know where it is either" when asked by the broadcaster. Hmmm.<br /><br />Since the role of Mikaela Banes required Fox to act as sexy as she already looks, we can see why Bay chose for her to wash a Ferrari as part of the audition, but the fact that the 'audition' took place at his home and the tape has gone missing does seem a bit "casting couch" to us. That said, we can think of few things we'd rather see than Megan Fox, a Ferrari, and a bunch of suds. What we don't understand, though, is why this footage wasn't part of our bonus footage in our special edition <em>Transformers</em> DVD.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen">Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/tf2screenshots000_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/tf2screenshots001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/tf2screenshots002_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/tf2screenshots003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-2-revenge-of-the-fallen/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/tf2screenshots004_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/sfgate/detail?blogid=7&amp;entry_id=43184">SFGate</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/07/08/michael-bay-filmed-megan-fox-washing-his-ferrari-as-part-of-her/">Michael Bay filmed Megan Fox washing his Ferrari as part of her <i>Transformers</i> audition?!</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 08 Jul 2009 10:57:00 EST. <br />We played with Transformers as kids and have a considerable appetite for anything automotive, making the second installment of the Transformers film franchise a must watch in an otherwise uninspiring summer blockbuster season. While we didn't dare hope for a compelling story line, we were pretty sure Director Michael Bay wouldn't let us down with regards to special effects. We hit the theater to see if <em>Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen</em> lived up to the considerable hype, and basically got exactly what we expected. <br />We have some good news and some bad news. First, the good news, because that's just how we roll. We've got another clip of Megan Fox.. er, <span style="font-style: italic;">Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen</span>. The bad news? It involves a "bad guy" Transformer named Wheelie that has a really cheesy New York wise-guy personality. His weaknesses appear to include a foul mouth, mousetraps and hot chicks - two out of three which being qualities that we can identify with. In any case, he gets his metallic little ass kicked by Fox.<br /><br />Most TF2 previews have looked straight-up awesome so far, but if this annoying little 'bot has anything more than a cameo in the movie, well, we're not going to be happy. <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/12/video-transformers-2-clip-shows-megan-fox-tussling-with-wheelie/">Hit the jump</a> to see video of Fantastic Ms. Fox taking a blowtorch to mini Megatron.<br /><br />[Source: <a href="http://cinematoday.jp/page/A0002228">Cinema Today</a> via <a href="http://jalopnik.com/5288343/transformers-2-megan-fox-makes-wheelie-her-little-bitch">Jalopnik</a>]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/12/video-transformers-2-clip-shows-megan-fox-tussling-with-wheelie/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>VIDEO: <i>Transformers 2</i> clip shows Megan Fox tussling with Wheelie</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/12/video-transformers-2-clip-shows-megan-fox-tussling-with-wheelie/">VIDEO: <i>Transformers 2</i> clip shows Megan Fox tussling with Wheelie</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 12 Jun 2009 19:28:00 EST. <br />The idea behind building a stunning performance car like the new Chevy Camaro is as much about selling the car itself as it is about casting a bright light on the rest of the automaker's range. The muscle car in the window may bring you into the dealership, but you're more likely to walk out with something more practical. Say, a Cruze, for example.<br /><br />That's what happened with one customer in China, where the price of an imported Camaro is, according to one report at least, the equivalent of a whopping $200,000. Having apparently geeked out like the rest of us at Michael Bay's blockbuster hit <em>Transformers</em>, the customer looks to have fallen in love with Bumblebee like that little punk Shia LeBeouf with Megan Fox (who really should be with a certain blogger whose name starts with an "N" and ends with an "oah"), but...where were we? Oh yeah, the Chinese fan gave his Chevy Cruze the full Bumblebee treatment, which looks to have involved a bit more than just plastering on some racing stripes. Check it out in the gallery below.<br /><br /><br /> <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chevrolet-cruze-with-bumblebee-treatment">Chevrolet Cruze with Bumblebee treatment</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chevrolet-cruze-with-bumblebee-treatment/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/cruzetocamero13-frontpage_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chevrolet-cruze-with-bumblebee-treatment/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/cruzetocamero16_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chevrolet-cruze-with-bumblebee-treatment/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/cruzetocamero_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chevrolet-cruze-with-bumblebee-treatment/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/cruzetocamero15_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chevrolet-cruze-with-bumblebee-treatment/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/cruzetocamero1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.chinacartimes.com/2009/06/04/want-a-camaro-cant-afford-one-convert-your-cruze/">China Car Times</a> I Images: <a href="http://club.sohu.com/">Club.Sohu.com</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/04/chinese-market-chevrolet-cruze-transformed-into-camaro-aping-bab/">Chinese-market Chevrolet Cruze transformed into Camaro-aping baby Bumblebee</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 04 Jun 2009 11:29:00 EST. <br />For those who can't get enough of Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, and gigantic interstellar shape-shifting robots, Hollywood director Michael Bay is here to help. He's released a trio of new television spots for the upcoming summer blockbuster, <em>Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen</em>. If you haven't found them on TV because you're busily skipping over commercials thanks to your DVR, you can check out the bevy of explosions, shape-shifting cars, planes, and helicopters <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/21/video-trio-of-new-transformers-2-rotf-trailers-released/">after the jump</a>.<br /><br />[Source: Vimeo via <a href="http://www.michaelbay.com/">MichaelBay.com</a>]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/21/video-trio-of-new-transformers-2-rotf-trailers-released/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>VIDEO: Trio of new Transformers 2: RotF trailers released</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/21/video-trio-of-new-transformers-2-rotf-trailers-released/">VIDEO: Trio of new Transformers 2: RotF trailers released</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 21 May 2009 12:29:00 EST. <br />Bajaj, India's largest manufacturer of two-wheeled vehicles and holder of a 14.5% stake in <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/08/25/coming-to-america-street-legal-ktm-x-bow/">X-Bow maker</a> KTM, is known not only for innovations like adding fuel injection to small-bore motorcycles and introducing dual spark technology, but also for producing excellent advertisements and commercials for television. We <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/03/11/video-awesome-indian-ad-for-bajaj-pulsar-motorcycle/">highlighted one of their better videos</a> a little over a year ago, and today we've run across another great one.<br /><br />It seems Bajaj is trying to capitalize on Transformers mania with this video, and that's fine by us. We're not sure what three lonely bikes were doing hanging out in an abandoned gym, but every story needs a plot, right? Click past the break to watch the video in all its computer-generated glory.<br /><br />[Source: YouTube via <a href="http://news.motorbiker.org/blogs.nsf/dx/video-bajaj-motorcycle-transformers.htm">Bikes in the Fast Lane</a>]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/24/video-bajaj-motorcycles-ad-ape-transformers-sadly-forgets-the/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>VIDEO: Bajaj motorcycles ad ape Transformers, proves idea is still sound even without Megan Fox</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/24/video-bajaj-motorcycles-ad-ape-transformers-sadly-forgets-the/">VIDEO: Bajaj motorcycles ad ape Transformers, proves idea is still sound even without Megan Fox</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 24 Apr 2009 16:55:00 EST. <br />When you're forced into a life-and-death situation like General Motors, a lot of tough calls have to be made - yet some are more obvious than others. In this case, The General has made it clear that it plans to slash its North American marketing spending - by some $800 million dollars.<br /><br />That's an extra $200M on top of the $600M that already GM vowed it would cut by 2010 in a disclosure it made back in December. And it isn't just things like <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/01/29/good-call-detroit-3-opt-out-of-super-bowl-ads/">SuperBowl commercials</a>, and print ads - vehicle incentives will also be impacted, something that will doubtlessly affect the already tough sledding that dealers are experiencing.<br /><br />Another example: <em>Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen</em>. Despite early efforts to tie Chevrolet to the Shia LaBeouf/Megan Fox Paramount sequel with efforts like the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/11/chicago-2009-gm-finally-rolls-out-corvette-stingray-concept/">Corvette Centennial Concept</a> and "<a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/11/chicago-2009-new-autobots-on-display/">Jolt" Volt</a> unveiling at the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/Chicago-Auto-Show/">Chicago Auto Show</a>, trade publication <em>Advertising Age</em> is reporting that GM will not spend much money to co-promote the movie. <br /><br />For the initial 2007 Transformers movie, GM is said to have spent "tens of millions" of dollars in advertising-related initiatives, but not only can the financially-strapped automaker not afford to do so, it realizes it may also not be a good idea in light of the taxpayer bailout. AdAge is quoting one insider as saying: <br /><blockquote><em>"You're not going to see any TV media that I know of. Even though you can make a case for it from a marketing standpoint, it's the kind of thing that might get you roundly criticized in light of today's climate. It's viewed as too risky, sort of like Citibank's deal with the Mets. GM can't afford to do that.<br /></em></blockquote>The message is clear: Bumblebee, Sideswipe, Jolt and Mudflap... you're on your own.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chicago-2009-gm-transformers-cars">Chicago 2009: GM Transformers cars LIVE</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chicago-2009-gm-transformers-cars/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/p1000383_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chicago-2009-gm-transformers-cars/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/p1000547_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chicago-2009-gm-transformers-cars/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/p1000503_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chicago-2009-gm-transformers-cars/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/p1000522_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/chicago-2009-gm-transformers-cars/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/p1000532_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Sources: <a href="http://www.autonews.com/article/20090226/ANA02/902260298/1018">Automotive News</a>; <a href="http://adage.com/madisonandvine/article?article_id=134910">Advertising Age</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/27/snip-snip-gm-slashing-800m-from-marketing-budget-yes-even-tr/">Snip-Snip: GM slashing $800M from marketing budget (yes, even Transformers)</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 27 Feb 2009 14:59:00 EST. Fresh off of last week's release of this summer's ultimate shift-your-brain-into-neutral, CGI-dominated, action-stuffed, Robogasm, the Transformers crew is auctioning off the 1977 Chevy Camaro that stole the show playing Bumblebee. You can be the envy of car geeks and movie buffs alike, and all for a good cause.<br /><br />The proceeds of the auction are going to the Fisher House Foundation, which helps out veterans by building homes to accommodate the families of injured military personnel.<br /><br />As of this writing, the price was just over $12,000 - a hell of a deal, even if the car was lambasted for being a beater by the oh-so-delectable Megan Fox. And considering that the star spent some time in the passenger seat, we'd consider paying top dollar for the upholstery.<br /><br />Top tip JW!<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/07/09/ebay-find-of-the-day-77-camaro-from-transformers/">eBay find of the day: '77 Camaro from Transformers</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 09 Jul 2007 09:33:00 EST. It's lean on plot, and we don't care, because the action sequences are enough to make your eyes melt. We have Bumblebee dishing it out (and taking it on the chin, it appears). There's Starscream performing trick midair transformation acrobatics. And as you see above, there's Optimus Prime getting ready to go kung-fu all over your candy asses. And that's not even the half of it. After all, there's <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/05/16/gm-marketing-blitz-for-transformers-about-to-begin/">Megan Fox</a>, too.<br /><br />Best line: "It's probably Japanese."<br /><br />47 days, kids...<br /><br />The trailer's embedded after the jump.<br /><br />[Sources: Jalopnik, MichaelBay.com, Yahoo!]<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-live-action-cars">Transformers Movie Pics</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-live-action-cars/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/05/maxim_transformers_1280_06_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-live-action-cars/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/05/maxim_transformers_1280_04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-live-action-cars/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/05/maxim_transformers_1280_05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-live-action-cars/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/05/maxim_transformers_1280_02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-live-action-cars/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/05/maxim_transformers_1280_03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/05/17/transformers-final-theatrical-trailer-debuts/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>VIDEO: Transformers final theatrical trailer debuts</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/05/17/transformers-final-theatrical-trailer-debuts/">VIDEO: Transformers final theatrical trailer debuts</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 17 May 2007 20:36:00 EST. The bad news is that, despite reports to <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/04/26/phew-optimus-prime-does-not-have-lips/">the contrary</a>, it does appear that Optimus Prime will be sporting a pair of metallic lips in the upcoming live action Transformers film set to open on July 4th, 2007. Whatev, we're sure pop-action director Michael Bay will provide us with plenty of other elements about which to gripe before the curtain rises on <a href="http://www.transformersmovie.com/main.html"><em>Transformers</em>.</a> <br /><br />Now for some good news. A slew of new images from the movie have flooded the internet recently, which we've compiled and added to our <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-live-action-cars/">ongoing gallery</a>. These images show the film's star, actor <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0479471/">Shia LeBeouf</a> (hereby known "the Boof"), in various states of raw emotion as he interacts with our favorite giant alien robots. Actually, he spends most of his time with eyes as wide as saucer plates, unless he's onscreen with costar <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1083271/">Megan Fox</a>, in which case we're not sure what he's doing because we're not really looking at him. The Boof is having a great summer, though, thanks to his other movie, <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0486822/" style="font-style: italic;">Disturbia</a>, which just spent a few weeks at the top spot before the summer movie season kicked into gear. No doubt Boof will be back on top come Independence Day with Transformers.<br /><br />Thanks to everyone who sent in a tip!<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-live-action-cars">Transformers Movie Pics</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-live-action-cars/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/05/maxim_transformers_1280_06_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-live-action-cars/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/05/maxim_transformers_1280_04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-live-action-cars/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/05/maxim_transformers_1280_05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-live-action-cars/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/05/maxim_transformers_1280_02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/transformers-live-action-cars/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/05/maxim_transformers_1280_03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/05/07/transformers-update-tons-of-pics-and-primes-lips/">Transformers Update: TONS of pics and Prime's lips</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 07 May 2007 16:25:00 EST.
