As it turned out, the two parties - the first representing the teams currently participating in the sport and the second its governing body - have apparently <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/30/kerfuffle-what-kerfuffle-all-formula-1-teams-reportedly-sign-o/">reconciled their differences</a>. <br /><br />But as it turns out, even if all of the existing teams walked, the FIA would still have had a field of eager teams ready to take their place - that's one heck of a bargaining chip. One way or another, all indications are that the cost of running an F1 team will be drastically reduced in the near future, starting with next season. Lower costs mean easier access, and teams have been lining up by the dozen to take part in the new, more accessibly Formula One. <p>Earlier today <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/24/tesla-finds-a-solution-to-transmission-troubles/">we reported</a> that Tesla Motors appears to have discovered a solution for the transmission troubles that have delayed production of the Roadster so far. The California-based all-electric automaker has now confirmed to <em>Inside Line</em> that it will <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/09/25/tesla-roadster-deliveries-pushed-back-to-2008-245-mile-range-co/">begin production of its first batch of roadsters</a> on March 17, though they'll be fitted with temporary <strike>two-speed</strike> single-speed transmissions and retrofitted later with what the company calls <a href="http://www.autobloggreen.com/2008/01/23/breaking-tesla-has-a-solution-for-their-transmission-woes-get/">DriveTrain 1.5</a>. Production of the EV Roadster, however, will take a while to gear up: initially the company will build just one vehicle per week, getting into the full swing of 40 cars per week by the end of the year. <br /></p>
<p>Observers also recently noticed a <a href="http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do/MediaNav/articleId=124462/firstNav=Gallery/photoId=50549">banner reading "Coming Spring 2008"</a> that was hanging in front of Tesla's <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/05/02/tesla-stores-to-combine-an-apple-store-a-starbucks-and-a-good/">dealership</a> in Los Angeles has disappeared. With Tesla Motors being so much in the spotlight, some speculated that the Roadsters arrival had been delayed again. The company's spokesman, Joe Powers, has revealed that the banner merely blew off and hasn't been re-hung yet. It just goes to show how interested and impatient people are for the Tesla Roadster to finally arrive. </p>

One can only assume that these changes will ultimately be seen in Europe as well in the form of an updated Micra, but we'll just have to wait and see how that pans out. Anyway, the freshened March gets new headlamps, revised grilles, and an available front bumper treatment that'll see wider use as standard equipment across the line. Other changes include the implementation of Nissan's I-Key, some new paint colors, a new HDD Navi model and a Cacao-colored interior option.<br /><br />Also updated are the odd-looking March Bolero and the MINI-aping (look at the grille) March Rafeet. The kitted, more aggressive-looking SR models are pretty cool, too. In addition to the March facelift, Nissan's introducing the Micra C+C in Japan for the first time. For whatever reason, it retains its Euro-market name after making the trip to Japan.<br /><br />More info can be found in the press releases after the jump. <br /><br />[Source: Nissan]<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/nissan-march-jdm/low/">Nissan March (JDM)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/nissan-march-jdm/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/06/marchfacelift01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/nissan-march-jdm/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/06/marchfacelift02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/nissan-march-jdm/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/06/marchfacelift03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/nissan-march-jdm/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/06/marchfacelift04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/nissan-march-jdm/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/06/marchfacelift05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/nissan-micra-c-c/low/">Nissan Micra C+C</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/nissan-micra-c-c/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/06/micracc01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/nissan-micra-c-c/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/06/micracc02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/nissan-micra-c-c/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/06/micracc03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/nissan-micra-c-c/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/06/micracc04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/nissan-micra-c-c/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/06/micracc05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/06/07/japan-nissan-march-gets-facelifted/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Japan: Nissan March gets facelifted</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/06/07/japan-nissan-march-gets-facelifted/">Japan: Nissan March gets facelifted</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 07 Jun 2007 09:26:00 EST.
