<br />
If you weren't fortunate enough to grab one of the 19 sinister-looking <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2011/06/10/2011-bmw-m3-frozen-black-edition-hits-the-u-s-only-20-examples/">Frozen Black Edition M3 Coupes</a> back in 2011, <a href="http://autoblog.com/make/bmw">BMW</a> has a new ultra-limited <a href="http://autoblog.com/bmw/m3">M3</a> for you to dream about. The 2013 BMW M3 Coupe Frozen Limited Edition goes on sale in January with a starting price of $76,395 including destination, and unlike previous Frozen Edition models, this latest one will be offered in three different matte colors: Frozen Red, Frozen White and Frozen Blue.<br />
<br />
The price for the Frozen Limited Edition is a premium of more than $16,000 compared to a base M3 Coupe, but in addition to the car's exclusivity, BMW made sure to include plenty of added content. In the styling department, the M3 Coupe Frozen Limited Edition rides on matte black, 19-inch wheels, adds glossy black accents on the grille, fender vents and exhaust outlets, and has the carbon fiber roof panel. The cabin features black and carbon leather throughout, with contrast stitching that matches the car's exterior color.<br />
<br />
A handful of options are also offered on the Frozen Limited Edition, like the M-DCT gearbox, BMW Individual audio system, and heated front seats. <a href="/2012/10/27/bmw-announces-2013-m3-frozen-edition-in-red-white-and-blue/#continued">Hit the jump</a> for BMW's press release.<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2012/10/27/bmw-announces-2013-m3-frozen-edition-in-red-white-and-blue/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>BMW announces 2013 M3 Frozen Edition in Red, White and Blue</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2012/10/27/bmw-announces-2013-m3-frozen-edition-in-red-white-and-blue/">BMW announces 2013 M3 Frozen Edition in Red, White and Blue</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Sat, 27 Oct 2012 18:01:00 EST. <br />
As we all look forward to the F30 2012 <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/bmw/3+series/">BMW 3 Series</a> spawning its forthcoming coupe bodystyle as well as a new <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/bmw/m3/">M3</a>, today's treat is a bit of both. Our spy shooters caught this car testing in Europe, which is clearly an M version of the 3 Series coupe.<br />
<br />
The wheels and quad exhaust are a dead giveaway that this is no ordinary 3, and of course, the scuttlebutt is that <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/bmw/">BMW</a> is going to call the 3 Series coupe the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/4+series/">4 Series</a>, making the M3 replacement actually the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/m4/">M4</a>. BMW has <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2012/05/22/next-bmw-m3-returning-to-inline-six-cylinder-engine/">reportedly confirmed</a> that the current M3's V8 is going to be replaced with a turbo'ed inline six in the F30 M cars. The expectation is that the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2011/10/26/new-bmw-m3-to-come-in-sedan-form-first/">M3 will launch <em>before</em> the M4</a>, given that BMW has yet to even bring the 4 Series to market.<br />

<br />
The <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/cadillac/cts-v-coupe">Cadillac CTS-V Coupe</a> has some serious performance chops. The potent angular coupe is loaded with a blown 6.2-liter V8 capable of 556-horsepower, 15-inch front and 14.7-inch rear Brembo brakes and a Magnetic Ride Control suspension setup. Impressive stats to be sure, but does Cadillac's sleek two-seater have the goods to take on the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/bmw/m3">BMW M3 coupe</a> and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/audi/s5">Audi RS5</a>? <br />
<br />
Both <em>Motor Trend</em> and <em>Car and Driver</em> have obviously been pondering the same question, as the competing buff mags dusted off their camcorders and cut up a pair of comparison videos featuring the three super coupes doing a <em>m&eacute;nage &agrave; trois </em>of the automotive kind. <br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2010/07/30/video-double-bill-c-d-and-mt-pit-cadillac-cts-v-coupe/#continued">Make the jump</a> to experience both videos. In the first video, MT goes all-out with its comparison, bringing both Editor-in-Chief Angus McKenzie and the spanking new CTS-V Coupe to Germany to take on the pair of well-established Bavarian competitors. The second video shows the unique C/D approach, with no first, second or third place finishers and not a single word is uttered. C/D just let the hot coupes speak for themselves with beautiful pictures and heavenly exhaust notes.<br />

<div style="text-align: center;"><em><strong><small>2011 BMW M3 Frozen Gray Coupe - Click above for high-res image gallery</small></strong></em></div>
<br />
If you were one of the 30 Bimmerphiles to snag a <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2010/06/17/bmw-releases-2011-m3-frozen-gray-coupe-for-the-u-s/">2011 Frozen Gray M3 Coupe</a> last month, expect to fill out another round of paperwork before you take delivery of your new matte gray baby.<br />
<br />
<a href="http://www.autoblog.com/make/bmw/">BMW</a> is apparently requiring all owners to sign a "maintenance agreement" that insists the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/bmw/m3">M3</a> is never polished or waxed, ran through an automatic car wash or even strongly rubbed. Additionally, BMW politely asks that you immediately remove bugs, bird droppings, tree sap and fuel spills with a soft sponge, and naturally, dealers are more than willing to sell you appropriate products for maintaining the matte finish. <br />
<br />
According to enthusiast site Bimmerfest, BMW explicitly states the M3's warranty won't cover any damage due to owner neglect and it notes that all exterior repairs must be performed by a BMW-authorized shop. What's more, if you don't sign the agreement, no Frozen Grey M3 for you. That's a lot of disclaimers. All of which could be easily solved for less if you simply went down to your local custom vinyl shop and wrapped your (decidedly less expensive) standard M3 in a 3M coating. But how do you put a price on exclusivity? <br />
<br />

<br />
Ah, the <a href="http://autoblog.com/bmw/m3">BMW M3</a>. In coupe, convertible or sedan form (the latter of which <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2010/04/13/report-bmw-m3-sedan-may-not-live-to-see-another-generation/">may be making its exit</a> in the near future), we've always been quite fond of this track day stunner. Now, owners have the chance to add some tasteful upgrades to the full range of M3 models by way of BMW Performance carbon fiber aerodynamic accessories.<br />
<br />
Made of carbon fiber reinforced plastic, the mirror caps and front splitters can be fitted to any current M3, and a rear deck lid spoiler is available for coupe and sedan models. (Sorry, droptop lovers.) Naturally, these upgrades are covered under the BMW Performance two-year warranty, and can be purchased from authorized BMW dealers. Official pricing hasn't been dished out just yet, but if these accessories are like the rest of BMW's options list, don't expect any bargains. Hit the jump for the full details in BMW's press release.<br />

<div style="text-align: center;"><em><strong><small>BMW teaser photos - Click above for high-res image gallery</small></strong></em></div>
<br />
If there's one thing the auto world loves, it's a good tease. <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/make/bmw/">BMW</a> has been happy to oblige this afternoon by dropping three photos of a new model fit just for U.S. consumption. Details are fittingly scarce, though the company does say that it will drop full details on the world come Thursday. Since we've been left to our own devices, how about a little rampant speculation to get the ball rolling? Judging from the front fascia, we're guessing the new car is gussied up <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/bmw/m3">M3</a>. The smattering of M logos throughout the cabin leads us to believe that the new kid on the block will likely boast a more sporting pedigree than its brethren, and since the America-only <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2010/01/28/first-drive-2011-bmw-335is-munich-finally-builds-a-special-on/">335is</a> is already down the pike, another pepped up 3 Series wouldn't make much sense.<br />
<br />
From the looks of things, there's definitely a dual-clutch cog box at play, though it's unclear if that will be the only option. Now the only question is whether the company will tweak the V8 found in the M3 or whether it will leave it alone and instead make other upgrades, and there's also the question of which bodystyle(s) the car will be available with, as the M3 is currently available in coupe, sedan, and convertible form. Keep your ears pinned back for more information later in the week. Until then, let your imagination run wild.<br />

With the new M3 officially unveiled, however, the only real question left unanswered is how much it will cost. Today we've learned that if you live in Her Majesty's kingdom, a new 2008 BMW M3 coupe will cost you &pound;50,625. If you're curious, that equates to $101,300.63 USD, which means nothing in the grand scheme of things. Along with being the most capable M3 ever produced, however, it's clear next year's model will also be the most expensive. That's the price you pay for a 420-hp V8 that can rush this Bimmer to 62 mph in 4.8 seconds.<br /><br />Press release after the jump.<br /><br />[Source: BMW]<div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-bmw-m3">2008 BMW M3</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-bmw-m3/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/04/2008_bmw-m3coupe_hi001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-bmw-m3/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/04/2008_bmw-m3coupe_hi002_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-bmw-m3/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/04/2008_bmw-m3coupe_hi003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-bmw-m3/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/04/2008_bmw-m3coupe_hi004_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-bmw-m3/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/04/2008_bmw-m3coupe_hi005_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/04/24/2008-bmw-m3-coupe-priced-from-50-625-in-uk/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>2008 BMW M3 coupe priced from £50,625 in UK</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/04/24/2008-bmw-m3-coupe-priced-from-50-625-in-uk/">2008 BMW M3 coupe priced from £50,625 in UK</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 24 Apr 2007 15:25:00 EST. Some among the team credit the hot Melbourne Red paint job the car is wearing in BMW's <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-bmw-m3/">first batch</a> of official photos. While the car's design is certainly a wicked canvas, the paint color in which it's dipped makes a big difference. BMW's International website has an interactive feature allowing one to display the new M3 in any of its eight available colors, which include Alpine White, Black, Sparkling Graphite, Space Gray, Interlagos Blue, Jerez Black, Silverstone II and the aforementioned Melbourne Red. Not only that, the interface allows you to rotate the M3 in a full 360-degree circle, as well as change the wheels from the standard 18-inch, double spoke alloys to the optional forged-and-polished 19-inch wheels that come with their own anti-thefy security device. <br /><br />The M3's brochure states that metallic paintwork is an option, which likely means that a portion of these colors will cost you extra. We've added pics of the M3 wearing every color with both sets of wheels to our gallery in case you're not interested in waiting for BMW's color changer to load. <br /><br />[Source: BMW via <a href="http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54483">M3post</a>]<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-bmw-m3">2008 BMW M3</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-bmw-m3/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/04/2008_bmw-m3coupe_hi001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-bmw-m3/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/04/2008_bmw-m3coupe_hi002_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-bmw-m3/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/04/2008_bmw-m3coupe_hi003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-bmw-m3/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/04/2008_bmw-m3coupe_hi004_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-bmw-m3/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/04/2008_bmw-m3coupe_hi005_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/04/12/all-the-colors-of-the-bmw-m3-rainbow/">All the colors of the BMW M3 rainbow</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 12 Apr 2007 20:02:00 EST. Frank covered the essentials on April 3rd, and we recommend you <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/04/03/production-bmw-m3-revealed/"><span style="font-weight: bold;">check his post out</span></a> if you haven't already. To review, here's a quick, bare-bones summary of the official details surrounding the '08 M3 Coup&eacute;:<br />
<ul>
    <li>First-ever V8 M3</li>
    <li><strong><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/03/22/more-details-on-bmw-m3-powerplant/">New engine</a></strong> weighs 33 lbs. less than the outgoing M3's six-cylinder</li>
    <li>420 horsepower/295 lb-ft at 3900 rpm, 8400 rpm max engine speed</li>
    <li>0-62 mph in 4.8 seconds, 155 mph top speed (electronically limited)</li>
    <li>6-speed manual tranny</li>
    <li>MDrive - allows configuration and retrieval of driver-specific performance settings</li>
    <li>All-new aluminum suspension</li>
    <li>Carbon fiber reinforced roof</li>
    <li>Usual complement of "M" appearance, aerodynamic upgrades. Minimal body panel carryover from 3-series coupe</li>
    <li>Regenerative braking used to power the car's on-board network</li>
</ul>
The exhaustive press release from BMW is pasted after the jump, and gets deep into the nitty-gritty (with the usual caveat that all info posted relates to the Euro-model). We also have 35 new photos in the attached gallery for your enjoyment. Is it just us, or does the production M3 look even more striking than the <strong><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/bmw-m3-concept-1/">M3 Concept</a></strong> shown in Geneva? Perhaps it's the photo car's Melbourne Red color, which goes nicely with the gunmetal grey wheels it sports. Now we want to see the <strong><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/12/21/bmw-m3-sedan-to-get-coupe-front-end/">sedan</a></strong> version!<br /><br />[Source: BMW]<br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-bmw-m3">2008 BMW M3</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-bmw-m3/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/04/2008_bmw-m3coupe_hi001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-bmw-m3/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/04/2008_bmw-m3coupe_hi002_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-bmw-m3/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/04/2008_bmw-m3coupe_hi003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-bmw-m3/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/04/2008_bmw-m3coupe_hi004_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-bmw-m3/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/04/2008_bmw-m3coupe_hi005_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/04/06/officially-official-introducing-the-2008-bmw-m3-coupe/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Officially Official: Introducing the 2008 BMW M3 Coupé</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/04/06/officially-official-introducing-the-2008-bmw-m3-coupe/">Officially Official: Introducing the 2008 BMW M3 Coupé</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 06 Apr 2007 13:35:00 EST.
