Knight Rider: The Liveblog -- Season 1, Episode 6

Oh, you thought it was over, didn't you? Well, you (and I) should be so lucky. Last week, Knight Rider was pre-empted by the Obamercial, so your humble blog host got a much-appreciated bye. Tonight, however, the 8:00 hour on Wednesday is once again hijacked by the KITT crew.

The official NBC.com episode synopsis:
"Knight of the Living Dead" Halloween turns deadly when a tech is murdered inside Knight Industries headquarters.

And the expanded version, according to my Tivo:
"Knight of the Living Dead" A tech is murdered at Knight Industries headquarters; while they are stuck on a flight during a storm, Sarah and Mike must try to stop KITT before it self-destructs.

Oh, goody -- a week-too-late Halloween episode featuring problematic air travel. On the upside, maybe Billy is the tech who gets murdered. Keep hope alive.

Knight Rider: The Liveblog -- Season 1, Episode 5

Well, there goes the under. Welcome to Episode 5 of the Knight Rider liveblog, a weekly event now set to go on indefinitely thanks to NBC approving a full season a couple of days ago. Oh, if only you could see me. The tears...they're not of joy.

This week: "Knight of the Hunter: Mike goes undercover as an AWOL Marine in order to track down a rogue military officer."

Goody. The fun continues after the jump.

Knight Rider: The Liveblog -- Season 1, Episode 4

One more episode of this, and my over/under prediction of 5 for show cancellation (I took the under) is toast. In any case, here I am. Again. Lucky me, lucky you.

Last week, Mike and Zoe went to Baja, where it was Zoe's turn to wear a bikini for extended periods of screen time. Bruce Davison's character yelled some more for no discernible reason, and KITT turned into a submarine. And to think, Ford doesn't even make a submarine!

Anyway, this week, Mike gets poisoned (fingers crossed), according to the official synopsis:

"A Hard Day's Knight" Pieces of Mike's past are revealed as a lethal poison threatens his life.

There's only one way this plot ends well, and given that NBC just ordered four new scripts, that ain't happening (fingers uncrossed).

See you after the jump in a half-hour.

Knight Rider: The Liveblog -- Season 1, Episode 3

Yeah, I know I'm late. Sue me. Against my better judgement (and yours, based on last week's poll), I'm here semi-liveblogging tonight's episode with the assistance of my Tivo.

Tonight's episode: "Knight of the Iguana", a.k.a. "KITT and Mike go to the beach." Kill me now...

You know what to do. See you after the jump.

Knight Rider: The Liveblog -- Season 1, Episode 2

Last week, our heroes survived magic napalm, chased a Spanish babe who inflicted curb rash on a Spyker, and we learned Mike has amnesia of sorts. Then, to mask Mike's identity, they faked his death, gave him no plastic surgery, and let him take on the name used by his dad. Yeah, we're sure he'll stay really low-profile that way.

Anyway, tonight:

"Journey to the End of Knight". Mike infiltrates a racing gang with the help of an old army buddy; Sarah and KITT join him.

It's after the jump, kids.

Knight Rider: The Liveblog - Season 1, Episode 1

Welcome, my friends! Tonight we gather to watch the train wreck that is NBC's Knight Rider, now a weekly series in the wake of the catastrophically bad telemovie that aired back in February. If you've blotted the memory of that debacle out of your brain, feel free to check out the original liveblog for a refresher while you wait for tonight's show to start.

Here's the blurb on tonight's episode, according to my Tivo:

"A Knight In Shining Armor" - A simple package delivery becomes more complicated than it seems when Mike and KITT learn the package is actually a man with top-secret code decryption built into his DNA.

Sounds thrilling, no? The fun begins after the jump at 8PM Eastern.

Well, as Dan Roth just put it in an IM that popped onto my screen, someone has to take one for the team, and that someone, my friends, is me. I'll be your host this evening as I provide live-ish commentary during the airing of the new Knight Rider telemovie. Note that I'm watching in the Eastern time zone, so you West Coast types, be advised: this contains spoilers. They'll all be after the jump, though, so you should be safe until you click through. To punish prepare myself for this epic (in NBC's opinion, anyway) television event, I bought Hoff-infused Knight Rider Season 1 on DVD. I watched the pilot episode for the first time in eons and came to the conclusion that what I thought was cool at age 10 was not necessarily...you know...good. As for this new edition, well, let's just say there's cause for concern.

And with that, let's continue after the jump.
