Today's the day, folks. After so many months (heck, years) of anticipation, we are finally seeing the all-new 2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette today on the eve of the 2013 Detroit Auto Show.

We'll have a full deep dive with official images and all the details posted in short order, but considering just how big of a deal this is, we're posting the live stream of the car's official unveiling in Detroit tonight. This way, you can pretend you're right here with us as we bear witness to the completely revised General Motors halo car in the metal for the first time.

LIVE from the 2011 Woodward Dream Cruise [UPDATE]

We're here at the 2011 Woodward Dream Cruise and instead of doing our usual from-the-office live stream, we've decided we're takin' it to the streets - literally. We've strapped a camera to the side of a 2011 Chrysler Town & Country minivan and will be doing laps up and down Woodward Avenue to bring you the sights of the Dream Cruise right from the street view.

From our live stream, you'll see plenty of classic machinery, mostly from right here in the Motor City. From muscle cars to sports cars and massive pickup trucks, there's plenty here for any kind of automotive enthusiast.

If you can't be here yourself, we're offering you the next best thing, with help from our friends at LiveU and ReplayXD.

UPDATE: As you can see, the feed is no longer live. It's about to rain, and the day is starting to wind down. Stay tuned for our round-up galleries in the coming days.

Event Alert: Nürburgring 24 is now streaming live

The Nürburgring 24 kicked off a short time ago, and as was the case last year, you can watch it streaming live (in German) at the official Nürburgring 24 site. RadioLeMans.com is providing live audio in English. Just head over there and click the "Listen Live" button in the upper left corner. Then, if you're us, you'll turn off the volume on the German video stream and listen to the RadioLeMans.com audio, since they're calling it off the same video feed. Good stuff.

N�rburgring 24 hours streaming live on the web

Many thanks to reader Dougall, who just emailed in to let us know that the Nürburgring 24 hour race is being streamed live on the web. Coverage appears to have just started a short time ago (as of 8:41 Eastern, the racers have just pulled out on the circuit behind the pace car). The full 24 hours of racing will be streamed. To watch, visit http://adac.24h-rennen.de/live/live-streaming.html. After sitting through a few commercials, it drops you right into the stream. Enjoy.

UPDATE: RadioLeMans.com is also streaming live video with English commentary. It's got a bigger video window, and you have on-track audio, so you can hear the cars' engines on the circuit. The commentators are also funny, as the Lexus LF-A had pitted and was having its rearview mirror adjusted while other work was done on the car. Next thing you know, it's being pushed into the pit garage. One of the announcers deadpans, "They're obviously having a lot of problems with the mirror there." RadioLemans.com wins.

UPDATE 2: Live standings (all classes) can be seen here (there's a slight delay, but it's useful). For a kick, keep an eye open for the #114 car. It's an Opel Manta with a fox tail hanging off the roof antenna. Great stuff. As LS2/LS7 points out in the comments, the Nürburgring 24h is not a "big" race compared to others, but it's definitely fun to look in on.

UPDATE 3: The race is over (podium ceremony taking place as I type at 9:25 AM Eastern). The Manthey Racing Porsche 911 GT3 RSR driven by the veritable all-star team of Timo Bernhard, Romain Dumas, Marc Lieb, and Marcel Tiemann is the overall winner. Full results can be found here. Commenter "Philthy" also reports that tragically, the #114 Opel Manta lost its foxtail somewhere along the way. The Manta, in case you're curious, finished 46th overall and 4th in the SP3 class.

Detroit Auto Show: Watch the GM Style Event LIVE right here

Though the 2007 North American International Auto Show doesn't officially open its doors until tomorrow morning, some automakers are starting the party tonight. General Motors is hosting the GM Style Event tonight at 7PM, which combines stars and cars and will be the chosen venue for the official debut of the Chevrolet Camaro Convertible Concept. The General has held these Style Events in the past, but this will be the first one ever held in Detroit. Apparently there's a runway involved on which 17 GM vehicles will walk the catwalk along with celebrities of varying degree of fame.

We managed to snag a ticket to this well-attended event and will be bringing back photos and hopefully stories of famous people doing things they shouldn't, but GM has also kicked open the doors to the public by offering us a live video stream of the festivities. Beginning at 7PM, you'll see Jimmy Kimmel hosting the red carpet entrances above. After the jump you'll find a live feed of the GM Style Event itself. In case you're curious, there's also a list of the celebrities in attendance after the jump, though we've heard there'll be two A-list celebs present that haven't been announced yet.
