Land Rovers to have stop-start tech by 2008

Hopefully the start/stop can be disabled for stuff like this Automatic start-stop capability is continuing it's inexorable march through the European automotive fleet with a stop at Land-Rover. Beginning late in 2008 Land-Rover vehicles will get a start-stop system that shuts off the engine the vehicle is stationary. Land Rover marketing director Andy Griffiths says that the company is also developing a full hybrid system in an attempt to meet upcoming EU carbon dioxide emissions limits.
