The configurator for the 2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport is now online, and it shows the pricing and available options for all three trim levels of this entry-level luxury CUV. Regardless of model, the Disco Sport comes with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder and nine-speed automatic driving all four wheels.

Full-on SVR models may not be the way to go for the four-cylinder Land Rover Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque, but word has it that JLR is working on something.

Looking forward to getting your mitts on a new Land Rover Discovery Sport? Well you should, because it promises to be a markedly better product than the Freelander/LR2 it replaces. Just don't assume it will necessarily be built in the UK, as just about every Land Rover has in the company's 66-year history.

Shortly before its official premiere, the first official-looking photos of the 2015 Land Rover Discovery Sport have leaked online, thanks to Italian site Autoblog.it (no relation!). The new midsize crossover effectively replaces the LR2/Freelander, and will most notably be offered with seven-passenger seating.

It should come as no great surprise that Land Rover is planning to group its lineup into three "families": one luxury lineup centered around the Range Rover, another utilitarian range around the Defender and a third somewhere in the middle centered around the Discovery. But just how many models will form each of those groups?

Land Rover unveiled its Discovery Vision concept (pictured above) at the New York Auto Show. Now the company has announced that the first vehicle to wear some of the concept's styling is going to be the new Discovery Sport. The Sport is the newest member of a whole new family of Disco models that LR has in the works.
