<div style="text-align: center;"><small style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;">Kia Venga - click above for high-res image gallery</small><br /></div>
<br />When we saw the Kia No 3 concept at the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/Geneva-Motor-Show/">Geneva Motor Show</a> in March, it was largely agreed that in spite of its unimaginative name, it appeared to be a pretty decent little vehicle. As we move on to the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/Frankfurt-auto-show/">Frankfurt auto show</a> next month, we'll be seeing it again, only this time it will be shown in production form and badged as Venga. <br /><br />Judging from these first photos released today by Kia, the concept was made from a prototype Venga body shell that went through relatively few changes. The biggest differences for the roadgoing version are the front fascia and the lights, the latter of which loses the cool neon look in favor of something more conventional and presumably less expensive. The bizarre windshield header that ran diagonally across the concept's glass roof is now replaced by a conventional version as well. <br /><br />Under the hood, the 13.35 foot long Venga gets a choice of 1.4-liter gas or 1.6-liter diesel engines, both available with Intelligent Stop and Go, Kia-speak for fuel-sipping auto start-stop technology. <br /><br />Unfortunately, Kia appears to have no plans to market the Venga in the States. That's too bad, as it would make an interesting addition to the burgeoning B-segment in the U.S. market. High-res images below, official press release after the jump.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://green.autoblog.com/photos/2010-kia-venga">2010 Kia Venga</a></strong></p><a href="http://green.autoblog.com/photos/2010-kia-venga/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/green.autoblog.com/media/2009/08/158535_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://green.autoblog.com/photos/2010-kia-venga/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/green.autoblog.com/media/2009/08/158536_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://green.autoblog.com/photos/2010-kia-venga/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/green.autoblog.com/media/2009/08/158533_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://green.autoblog.com/photos/2010-kia-venga/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/green.autoblog.com/media/2009/08/158534_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-kia-no-3">Geneva 2009: Kia No 3</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-kia-no-3/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/kia-3-1280-01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-kia-no-3/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/kia-3-1280-07_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-kia-no-3/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/kia-3-1280-08_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-kia-no-3/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/kia-3-1280-09_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-kia-no-3/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/kia-3-1280-03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><em><strong><small>Live Images Copyright (C)2009 Sam Abuelsamid / Weblogs, Inc.</small></strong></em><br />[Source: Kia]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/08/17/frankfurt-preview-kia-moves-up-from-no-3-in-geneva-to-venga/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Frankfurt Preview: Kia moves up from No 3 in Geneva to Venga</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/08/17/frankfurt-preview-kia-moves-up-from-no-3-in-geneva-to-venga/">Frankfurt Preview: Kia moves up from No 3 in Geneva to Venga</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 17 Aug 2009 11:00:00 EST. Kia says the slick-looking MPV will haul five passengers in its Honda Fit sized footprint. From what we can tell in the spy shots, the No. 3 will be another entry in the small/useful/fun (hopefully) segment that actually looks pretty good. Hopefully they beautify the name to match the rest of the car. <br /><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.nextautos.com/spy-shots-production-version-kia-no-3-tested-while-concept-unveiled-geneva">NextAutos</a>]<br /><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/06/production-version-of-genevas-kia-no-3-concept-spotted-testing/">Production version of Geneva's Kia No. 3 concept spotted testing</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 06 Mar 2009 11:28:00 EST. <div align="center"><em><strong><small>Click above for a high-res gallery of the Kia No 3 concept</small></strong></em> <br /></div>
<br />After all the teaser shots of the Kia No 3 concept, we finally got to see it in the metal out on the floor of the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/Geneva-Motor-Show/">Geneva Motor Show</a> today. In its press materials, Kia describes this as a new five-seat MPV, although we're personally a bit dubious of that description. In Europe there are taller versions of various hatchbacks that fit the description of an MPV such as the Ford C-Max and VW Golf Plus. The closest we have in the U.S. is the Mazda5, and the No 3 concept doesn't seem to fit with any of those.<br /><br />Aside from its odd categorization, the No 3 is quite an attractive piece. It's a five-door hatchback close in overall size to the Honda Fit but with a 4.5-inch longer wheelbase. The overall proportions of the No 3 are handsome with short overhangs and reasonably large areas of glass. If the No 3 does make it to production (hopefully with a different name), it will likely loose a big chunk of that glass, namely the roof. The diagonal windshield header on the concept is is reiterated in the random diagonal ribs of the seat upholstery. Even without its clever concept trappings, we hope to see the No 3 get a green light for production. <br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-kia-no-3">Geneva 2009: Kia No 3</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-kia-no-3/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/kia-3-1280-01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-kia-no-3/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/kia-3-1280-07_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-kia-no-3/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/kia-3-1280-08_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-kia-no-3/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/kia-3-1280-09_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-kia-no-3/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/kia-3-1280-03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/kia-no-3-concept">Kia No 3 concept</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/kia-no-3-concept/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/kia-no3-(2)-1280_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/kia-no-3-concept/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/240209kia_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/kia-no-3-concept/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/240209-a-kia_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/kia-no-3-concept/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/kia-no3-(1)-1280_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/kia-no-3-concept/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/kia-no3-(3)-1280_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><em><strong><small>Photos Copyright (C)2009 Sam Abuelsamid / Weblogs, Inc.</small></strong></em><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/04/geneva-2009-kia-no-3-concept-cooler-than-expected/">Geneva 2009: Kia No 3 concept cooler than expected</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 04 Mar 2009 17:21:00 EST. <br /> Kia has released additional photos and information on its <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/06/geneva-preview-kia-teases-new-mpv-concept/">No 3 concept</a> that will be revealed at the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/Geneva-Motor-Show/">Geneva Motor Show</a> tomorrow. The 13.27-ft long MPV is two inches shorter than the Honda Fit but three inches taller. It also shares design details first seen on other recent Kia concepts starting with the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/01/08/detroit-auto-show-live-reveal-of-the-kia-kue-concept/">2007 Kia Kue</a>. Kia's official press release after the jump is short on technical details aside from the dimensions, but we'll get the complete scoop tomorrow after the No 3 concept officially debuts. A big focus will apparently be on "advanced IT technology", whatever that's supposed to mean. We'll find tomorrow, at which time we'll also see the Kia c'eed in two new flavors, a full hybrid and one with auto start/stop. <br /><br /> <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/kia-no-3-concept">Kia No 3 concept</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/kia-no-3-concept/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/kia-no3-(2)-1280_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/kia-no-3-concept/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/240209kia_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/kia-no-3-concept/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/240209-a-kia_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/kia-no-3-concept/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/kia-no3-(1)-1280_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/kia-no-3-concept/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/kia-no3-(3)-1280_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: Kia]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/02/geneva-2009-kia-spills-more-details-on-the-no-3-concept/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Geneva Preview: Kia spills more details on the No 3 concept</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/02/geneva-2009-kia-spills-more-details-on-the-no-3-concept/">Geneva Preview: Kia spills more details on the No 3 concept</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 02 Mar 2009 15:31:00 EST. <div align="center"><em><strong><small>Click above for a high-res gallery of the Kia No 3 concept</small></strong></em><br /></div>
<br />At next week's <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/GenevaMotorShow/">Geneva Motor Show</a> Kia will show off a new crossover concept -- dubbed the No 3 -- and two variants of the c'eed. The No 3 is basically a tall five-door hatch that appears to be based onthe c'eed platform. The 13.27 ft long five-door features a glass roof and an odd diagonal windshield header which stretches from the A-pillar on the passenger side to the B-pillar on the driver side. <br /><br />The two new c'eed variants are both aimed at reduced fuel consumption. The c'eed ISG is a new regular production model that adds auto-stop-start to the both 1.4- and 1.6-liter versions of the sub-compact sedan, with a claimed boost in urban fuel mileage of around 15%. Kia is also showing a hybrid version of the c'eed that uses the system developed by Hyundai-Kia with a 1.6-liter four-cylinder. The car is part of a test fleet that will be run in Europe this year and averages 49 mpg (US) and emits just 109 g/km of CO2. Expect live shots from the show a week from today.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/kia-no-3-concept">Kia No 3 concept</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/kia-no-3-concept/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/kia-no3-(2)-1280_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/kia-no-3-concept/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/240209kia_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/kia-no-3-concept/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/240209-a-kia_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/kia-no-3-concept/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/kia-no3-(1)-1280_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/kia-no-3-concept/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/kia-no3-(3)-1280_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: Kia]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/24/embargo-2-24-09-2am-est-geneva-preview-kia-no-3-concept-mpv/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Geneva Preview: Kia No 3 Concept MPV</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/24/embargo-2-24-09-2am-est-geneva-preview-kia-no-3-concept-mpv/">Geneva Preview: Kia No 3 Concept MPV</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 24 Feb 2009 02:00:00 EST.
