Jaguar Land Rover's new Special Vehicle Operations division will reportedly expand its activities with the introduction of a new line of SVX hardcore off-road models.
Jaguar will make the coming XE the first model it builds in China. Production is expected to start sometime next year at its factory in Changshu, a joint venture with Chery Automobile, that began building the Range Rover Evoque earlier this year and will also assemble the Land Rover Discovery Sport.

For Jaguar Land Rover, a dual-energy-source powertain requires a two-company investment. Word is, JLR is looking for a partner to develop a cleaner, better hybrid powertrain. A month ago, Jaguar Land Rover signed a joint-venture agreement with China's Chery Automobile Company.
