Yamaha really seems to enjoy imagining three-wheeled vehicles. The company recently patented an electric trike concept and it introduced the Tricity in Europe this year. For the 2014 Intermot motorcycle show in Cologne, German, the Japanese company is taking the idea in a sporty direction with its 01GEN concept to envision a future dual-sport model capable of going just about anywhere.
The Kawasaki Ninja H2R superbike was definitely the star of this year's Intermot motorcycle show in Germany. How could it not have been? Packing a supercharged, 1.0-liter four-cylinder with 300 horsepower wrapped in a carbon fiber fairing and a green trellis frame, it's one of the baddest-looking bikes ever. Since it's reveal, even more tasty details have leaked out that have us salivating.
After months of teasing, Ducati is finally premiering the 2015 Scrambler at the Intermot 2014 motorcycle show in Cologne, Germany, but this reinterpreted retro bike doesn't actually hit the streets until January of 2015, so there's still some waiting to do. It will be offered in four trims that are each slightly tweaked to appeal to those looking for vintage style, modern usability or a mix of both.

Sure, sitting on the stand at this year's Intermot, the new crop almost looks like a carbon copy of the current incarnation, which, in turn, is a refined version of its vastly revamped 2013 offerings. From the saddle, however, the polish put on these new battery-powered bikes will be blindingly brilliant.
At the INTERMOT show in Cologne, Germany, running from October 8-12 this year, there will be a special section at the Innovation Centre which will showcase alternative drive two- and three-wheelers. The show will include vehicles that are already on the market, like the Vectrix scooter and electric E-Max scooter, and future vehicles, like a natural gas-powered Suzuki and hybrid Piaggio MP3, on display.
