<div style="text-align: center;"><em><strong><small>2010 Ford Flex EcoBoost - Click above for high-res image gallery</small></strong></em></div>
<br />
We were headed on a road trip, because that's what you do when the summer draws to a close and something as gigantic as the Ford Flex rolls into your driveway. Destination: Brooklyn. Five miles into the journey, the Sony audio system belts out the Beastie Boys' "No Sleep Till Brooklyn," and the two sub-five-year-olds in tow agree. But we had an ace up our sleeve: our Flex SEL tester was packing a six-shooter augmented by Ford's EcoBoost turbo system, good for another 100 horsepower over the standard model. If the trip was going to be hellish, at least it would be short.<br />
<br />
<div style="border: 0px dotted black; margin: 5px; padding: 2px 3px; color: rgb(153, 0, 0); line-height: 120%; font-size: 1.5em; float: right; width: 220px; text-align: center;"><strong>There's newfound muscle to... flex.</strong></div>
There's a price premium to pay for the heavy breathing, but even at $40,000 as-tested, the kitted out Flex stickered for less than expected, and mitigating drawbacks seems to be a running theme with the EcoBoosted Flex. Its EPA estimated fuel economy in all-wheel drive trim of <strike>17/24</strike> 16/22 mpg city/highway, is exactly the same as the unboosted Duratec 3.5-liter, but there's newfound muscle to... flex. A turbocharged engine immediately makes thoughts of premium fuel dance through your head, but nope, the direct-injected V6 is happy to perform tricks on regular, though Ford recommends you run higher octane for maximum performance. <br />
<br />
In search of some kind of glaring downfall, we kept the Flex EcoBoost for a while, trying to suss out what penalties you might ultimately pay for the added brawn. <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/10/12/2010-ford-flex-ecoboost-review/#continued">Follow the jump</a> to see how the big Ford fared.<br />

<br />
Quality costs. Ask a recording engineer. For the same money you'll burn on a pile of inexpensive, non-serviceable gear whose greatest virtue is that "it works," you could alternatively purchase one channel's worth of serious equipment. The trade-off is that the real kit sounds great all the time, while the cheaper stuff never does. Boiled down to their essence, they both do the same thing, but it's the quality of the components and the careful construction that make all the difference.<br />
<br />
It's the same thing with the 2009 Audi Q5. $50,000 will put your rump in vast automotive acreage, but for the same coin, the Q5's dimensions are tidy. Combating the "quantity equals quality" mindset, Audi has made the Q5 a standout. It's filled with luxury and comfort items, and put together with typical German fastidiousness. And out on the road, the Q5 chats you up with feedback that's - dare we say - sports-like. So has Audi managed to finally put the "sport" in Sport Utility?<br />

Porsche invited us to Germany to be one of the first to drive its all-new Panamera, the company's first four-door sedan. We spent three days assailing the Bavarian Alps, streaking across the German Autobahn, and meandering through picturesque Alpine towns. We touched 170 mph at one point and sat stagnant in city traffic during another. What were Porsche's objectives with this new sedan? How does it drive? Who's going to buy it? And, most importantly, does the Panamera deserve to wear the coveted Porsche crest? Find out after the jump...<br />

<div align="center"><em><strong><small>2009 Pontiac Solstice GXP Coupe - Click above for high-res image gallery</small></strong></em></div>
<br /> Climb into the Pontiac Solstice Coupe and there's an unsettling feeling of familiarity. We've been here before. And after driving off, it all begins to gel, although it has nothing to do with our previous stints in the drop-top variant. The Coupe feels like the unruly offspring of a night of passion between a C4 Corvette coupe and a Dodge Viper. And while the Solstice is nowhere near as large or as powerful as those two American icons, the DNA of both is undoubtedly present in this little machine - for good reason. <br /> <br /> It's no coincidence that the history of the Solstice spans the Bob Lutz era at General Motors. After Lutz joined GM in 2001 to guide its product development, one of the first tasks he assigned the design staff was to create a new concept for the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/Detroit-Auto-Show/">Detroit Auto Show</a>. The Solstice was born, a stylistic hit was made and the convertible was rushed to production. Now, as Lutz is winding down his time at GM, the Solstice and the entire Pontiac brand are also <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/27/officially-official-gm-kills-pontiac/">fading off into the sunset</a>. In many respects, this Solstice is symbolic of what was right and wrong with GM and Pontiac. And our time with the Solstice Coupe is a telling tale about the final new model from a vanishing brand.<br /> <br /> <br /> <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-pontiac-solstice-gxp-coupe">Review: 2009 Pontiac Solstice GXP Coupe</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-pontiac-solstice-gxp-coupe/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/solsticecoupe_rev2000_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-pontiac-solstice-gxp-coupe/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/solsticecoupe_rev2005_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-pontiac-solstice-gxp-coupe/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/solsticecoupe_rev2001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-pontiac-solstice-gxp-coupe/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/solsticecoupe_rev2002_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-pontiac-solstice-gxp-coupe/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/solsticecoupe_rev2003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /> <em><strong><small>Photos Copyright (C)2009 Sam Abuelsamid, Max </small></strong></em><em><strong><small>Abuelsamid</small></strong></em><em><strong><small> / Weblogs, Inc. </small></strong></em><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/24/review-pontiac-solstice-gxp-coupe-goes-quick-just-dont-look-b/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Review: Pontiac Solstice GXP Coupe goes quick, just don't look back</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/24/review-pontiac-solstice-gxp-coupe-goes-quick-just-dont-look-b/">Review: Pontiac Solstice GXP Coupe goes quick, just don't look back</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 24 Jun 2009 11:57:00 EST. <div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;"><small>2010 Kia Soul - Click above for high-res image gallery</small></span><br /></div>
<br />Greeting the Kia Soul with low expectations didn't make sense. Perhaps the details of the funkwagon's story seemed overly familiar at first blush - Kia wants, nay, <em>needs</em> to be more than just the bargain-basement Hyundai store. Differentiating product lines with the help of bold design has been tried before, and the results have been disastrous more often than they've been wildly successful. Finding out that the Soul's <a href="http://www.kiasoul.com/#/design">styling </a><a href="http://www.kiasoul.com/#/design">inspiration was a wild boar</a> sent the cynical mind of this autowriter reeling, preparing to suffer with a bore of a swine-inspired car. But Kia's been on a roll lately with aggressively priced product that's well equipped and imbued with performance that's often more inspired than the sum of its parts. If any brand stands a chance of melding its design studio's hit parade with tuning that lives up to the looks, it's Kia... right?<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2010-kia-soul">Review: 2010 Kia Soul</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2010-kia-soul/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/kissoulreview002_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2010-kia-soul/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/kissoulreview003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2010-kia-soul/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/kissoulreview000_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2010-kia-soul/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/kissoulreview001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2010-kia-soul/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/kissoulreview004_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><em><strong><small>Photos Copyright (C)2009 John Neff / Weblogs, Inc.</small></strong></em><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/10/review-2010-kia-soul/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Review: 2010 Kia Soul deserves to be breakout hit for brand</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/10/review-2010-kia-soul/">Review: 2010 Kia Soul deserves to be breakout hit for brand</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 10 Jun 2009 11:57:00 EST. <div align="center"><em><strong><small>2009 Lexus IS F - Click above for high-res gallery</small></strong></em><br /></div>
<br />The Lexus IS F is the sole Japanese contender in a crowd of compact high-performance sport sedans. Boasting a full complement of performance upgrades, including a 5.0-liter V8 mated to a quick-shifting eight-speed automatic transmission, the 416-horsepower sedan blasts to 60 mph in well under five seconds. But the stats only tell part of the tale. Do the sum of the IS F's parts make it a contender against the best from Germany and America? Let's find out.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/in-the-autoblog-garage-2009-lexus-is-f">Review: 2009 Lexus IS F</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/in-the-autoblog-garage-2009-lexus-is-f/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/lexus_isf_1280_07_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/in-the-autoblog-garage-2009-lexus-is-f/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/lexus_isf_1280_08_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/in-the-autoblog-garage-2009-lexus-is-f/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/lexus_isf_1280_06_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/in-the-autoblog-garage-2009-lexus-is-f/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/lexus_isf_1280_04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/in-the-autoblog-garage-2009-lexus-is-f/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/lexus_isf_1280_05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><em><strong><small>Photos Copyright (C)2009 Michael Harley / Weblogs, Inc.</small></strong></em><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/05/review-2009-lexus-is-f-pursues-perfection-might-need-more-personality/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Review: 2009 Lexus IS F pursues perfection, might need more personality</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/05/review-2009-lexus-is-f-pursues-perfection-might-need-more-personality/">Review: 2009 Lexus IS F pursues perfection, might need more personality</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 05 Jun 2009 11:57:00 EST. <div align="center"><strong><em><small>2009 Cadillac CTS-V - Click above for high-res image gallery</small></em></strong><br /></div>
<br />Despite recent products to the contrary, when much of America thinks "Cadillac," a lot of people still recall the land yachts of the '70s and '80s. Hoods and decks marginally shorter than your average aircraft carrier, and Sedan de Villes and Fleetwoods serving as hearses or transportation for those awaiting a ride in one. But something happened to Cadillac a few years back. After several failed attempts to compete with the Germans (Seville STS, Allante and Catera), General Motors began crafting a strategy to take on the luxury marques abroad. At the forefront of that movement is the Cadillac CTS and the pinnacle of their efforts is this, the CTS-V. To paraphrase and co-opt the grizzled Oldsmobile tag-line: "The 2009 CTS-V is not your grandfather's Cadillac." Not by a long shot.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-cadillac-cts-v">Review: 2009 Cadillac CTS-V</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-cadillac-cts-v/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/ctsv-review000_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-cadillac-cts-v/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/ctsv-review008_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-cadillac-cts-v/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/ctsv-review001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-cadillac-cts-v/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/ctsv-review002_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-cadillac-cts-v/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/ctsv-review003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><em><strong><small>Photos Copyright (C)2009 Sam Abuelsamid / Max Abuelsamid / Weblogs, Inc.</small></strong></em><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/03/review-2009-cadillac-cts-v-supercar-performance-everyday-driv/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Review: 2009 Cadillac CTS-V offers supercar performance, everyday drivability</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/03/review-2009-cadillac-cts-v-supercar-performance-everyday-driv/">Review: 2009 Cadillac CTS-V offers supercar performance, everyday drivability</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 03 Jun 2009 11:57:00 EST. Small skirmishes go on in the border regions; confused vehicles don't know whether to be mud-slingers with brash attitudes or optioned-up urban sophisticates. Toyota's RAV4 certainly brings sophistication, and though it can venture off road a bit, it's not a jumbled, mixed-up mess. The RAV's classification-straddling lets it serve the whims of a broad array of potential buyers. <br /><br />Wanting to cover all the bases, the RAV4 can be had in a variety of configurations, from a basic front-driver with four-cylinder power up to a leather-lined, four-wheel-drive Limited with a silly-powerful V6. A Sport version seeds right in between the base and Limited, carrying a satisfying level of equipment. There's an allure to the big horsepower delivered by the six - especially when it costs as little on EPA ratings as the RAV's 3.5-liter - but these days, "adequate" is riding a wave of newfound popularity as Americans struggle to pinch more pennies. In keeping with that spirit, when it came time to test a RAV4, we decided to try life with a four-cylinder 4WD Sport. <br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-toyota-rav4-sport">Review: 2009 Toyota RAV4 Sport</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-toyota-rav4-sport/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/rav4sport_001-(39)_1280_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-toyota-rav4-sport/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/rav4sport_001-(5)_1280_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-toyota-rav4-sport/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/rav4sport_001-(1)_1280_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-toyota-rav4-sport/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/rav4sport_001-(47)_1280_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-toyota-rav4-sport/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/rav4sport_001-(4)_1280_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><em><strong><small>Photos Copyright (C)2009 Dan Roth / Weblogs, Inc.</small></strong></em><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/14/review-2009-toyota-rav4-sport/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Review: 2009 Toyota RAV4 Sport strikes agreeable balance</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/14/review-2009-toyota-rav4-sport/">Review: 2009 Toyota RAV4 Sport strikes agreeable balance</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 14 May 2009 11:58:00 EST. <br />Torque is good. More torque is better. And when you have more than 600 lb-ft of the stuff at your disposal with just a tip of your right toe, life is fantastic. Now, if it would just stop raining, things would be perfect. Such is life with the 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. <br /><br />As the old saying goes, "Timing is everything", and as General Motors approached its 100th birthday last September, it introduced the two most powerful production cars it had ever created, the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/02/first-drive-2009-cadillac-cts-v/">Cadillac CTS-V</a> and the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/08/19/autoblog-first-drive-2009-corvette-zr1/">ZR1</a>. Unfortunately, just as GM reached the pinnacle of high performance cars, the world economy imploded. The global financial bubble got pierced from multiple sides and sales of cars at every price and performance level vaporized. Fortunately for us, GM is still hanging in there and Chevrolet let us have a few days of quality time with a ZR1 while the opportunity still exists. We went to Hell and back in the ZR1 and lived to tell the tale after the jump.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-chevrolet-corvette-zr1">Review: 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-chevrolet-corvette-zr1/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/zr1review_01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-chevrolet-corvette-zr1/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/zr1review_02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-chevrolet-corvette-zr1/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/zr1review_10_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-chevrolet-corvette-zr1/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/zr1review_03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-chevrolet-corvette-zr1/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/zr1review_04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><strong style="font-style: italic;"><small>Photos copyright (C)2009 <a href="http://www.drewphillipsphotography.com/">Drew Phillips</a> / Weblogs, Inc</small></strong><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/11/review-2009-chevrolet-corvette-zr1-goes-to-hell-and-back/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Review: 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 goes to Hell and back</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/11/review-2009-chevrolet-corvette-zr1-goes-to-hell-and-back/">Review: 2009 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 goes to Hell and back</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 11 May 2009 11:57:00 EST. <br />Like nearly every other automotive outlet on the planet, we've become increasingly enamored with Audi's recent product portfolio. From the A3 to the S8, the Q7 to the R8, with all the accolades Audi's received you'd think the crew from Ingolstadt simultaneously cured cancer, rid the world of nuclear weapons and deflected a meteor destined to bring about the next ice-age. <br /><br />But as the praise flowed, Audi's volume model - the A4 - grew tusks that would rival a walrus. The original A4 (B5) debuted when Boys II Men was near the top of the charts and its duo of follow-ups (the Audi B6 and B7, not the trio from Philly) were more technical reworks than thorough overhauls. But a funny thing happened in the process. As the sheet-metal evolved and the interior became a benchmark, underneath, the A4 turned into a credible sports sedan. With the engine migrating closer to the firewall, the all-wheel drive system nearing perfection and the available drivetrains offering a combination of tractability and fuel efficiency, the A4 could be all things to all people - enthusiasts included. So when developing the "all-new" A4, Audi knew it had to hit every note in pitch-perfect harmony. Our <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/04/06/first-drive-2008-audi-a4-on-the-autobahn-and-in-ibiza/">First Drive</a> proved that many of the A4's foibles had been left in the past, but until we lived with one for a week, the jury was still sequestered in a hotel, living off an $11 per diem. Now, deliberations are over and we're prepared to deem the 2009 Audi A4 one of the best sports sedans on the market. In fact, the A4 is so good, it's almost boring. Almost...<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-audi-a4-3-2-quattro">Review: 2009 Audi A4 3.2 Quattro</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-audi-a4-3-2-quattro/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/01-review-2009-audi-32-a4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-audi-a4-3-2-quattro/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/02-review-2009-audi-32-a4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-audi-a4-3-2-quattro/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/03-review-2009-audi-32-a4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-audi-a4-3-2-quattro/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/04-review-2009-audi-32-a4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-audi-a4-3-2-quattro/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/05/05-review-2009-audi-32-a4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><em><strong><small>Photos copyright (C)2009 <a href="http://bradthephotog.com/">Brad Wood</a> / Weblogs, Inc.</small></strong></em><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/08/review-2009-audi-a4-3-2-quattro-too-good-for-its-own-good/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Review: 2009 Audi A4 3.2 Quattro, too good for its own good</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/05/08/review-2009-audi-a4-3-2-quattro-too-good-for-its-own-good/">Review: 2009 Audi A4 3.2 Quattro, too good for its own good</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 08 May 2009 11:58:00 EST. <br />In the 23 years since Hyundai first entered the U.S. market, the Korean automaker has come a long away. What began as a budget-oriented brand for those who couldn't afford the higher-priced products from Japan has evolved into a credible contender in virtually every segment that it competes. In the early days, the primary emphasis was on affordable motoring, sometimes at the expense of long-term durability. Today, it's a different story. From the Accent to the Genesis sedan, Hyundai still offers some of the most affordable products, but the decades-old connotations of "cheap" have been largely laid to rest.<br /><br />With the introduction of the Tiburon, Hyundai finally dipped its toe into the sports-car segment, but as nice as it was, it simply didn't have the chops to play with the big boys of the performance set. Enter the Genesis Coupe. Hyundai's rear-wheel-drive two-door is the second salvo in the automaker's bid to flesh-out its premium Genesis sub-brand, while at the same time taking direct aim at a field of established competitors ranging from the Ford Mustang to the Infiniti G37. Does the Genesis have what it takes to play the game? <br />Once upon a time, if you were expecting company and they drove a Toyota Land Cruiser, you'd have Teva prints in your carpet and the smell of patchouli filling your house. Their refrigerator cheese selection probably included one with the word "Whiz" in it, and if things got too warm, your guests would unzip their Vatican pants at the knees and stuff the legs into their oversized shorts pockets. No more. With a starting price of $64,755, the 2009 Toyota Land Cruiser is a certifiable luxury proposition that only gets close to grime when tackling a grass-covered hill at the local little-league soccer field. Yet in spite of its juggernaut proportions and new personality, after a week in the 'Cruiser, it's obvious why Toyota's biggest SUV sells: it's a giant Camry that seats eight and eats volcanoes.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-toyota-landcruiser">2009 Toyota Land Cruiser</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-toyota-landcruiser/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/01_08_toyota_lcruiser_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-toyota-landcruiser/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/02_08_toyota_lcruiser_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-toyota-landcruiser/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/03_08_toyota_lcruiser_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-toyota-landcruiser/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/04_08_toyota_lcruiser_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-toyota-landcruiser/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/05_08_toyota_lcruiser_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/16/review-2009-toyota-landcruiser-a-suv-good-enough-for-dr-evil/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Review: 2009 Toyota Land Cruiser - A SUV good enough for Dr. Evil <i>and</i> his wife</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/16/review-2009-toyota-landcruiser-a-suv-good-enough-for-dr-evil/">Review: 2009 Toyota Land Cruiser - A SUV good enough for Dr. Evil <i>and</i> his wife</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 16 Apr 2009 11:59:00 EST. <div align="center"><em><strong><small>2009 Nissan Maxima - Click above for high-res image gallery</small></strong></em><br /></div>
<br />Once upon a time, labeling anything other than a two-door, two-seater a "sports car" would have been anathema to enthusiasts. And calling a mid-size sedan by the same name would have been utterly absurd. But when Nissan originally slapped the 4DSC ("four-door sports car") label on the Maxima 20 years ago, the automotive landscape was a very different place. Today, the sports sedan has been embraced by the masses, and with a series of "four-door coupes" hitting the market, consumers looking for an entertaining ride with seating for four have a host of options to choose from.<br /><br />So when Nissan trotted out the all-new 2009 Maxima in New York last year and revived the 4DSC label, the automaker's past successes weighed heavily on the redesigned sedan. Would it still deliver the power and handling of its predecessors or would it be just another poseur in a see of wannabe sports sedans? More to the point: is this really a sports car? Let's find out.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-nissan-maxima">Review: 2009 Nissan Maxima</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-nissan-maxima/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/01-2009-nissan-maxima-ab-review_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-nissan-maxima/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/05-2009-nissan-maxima-ab-review_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-nissan-maxima/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/02-2009-nissan-maxima-ab-review_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-nissan-maxima/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/03-2009-nissan-maxima-ab-review_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-nissan-maxima/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/04-2009-nissan-maxima-ab-review_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><em><strong><small>Photos Copyright (C)2009 Sam Abuelsamid / Weblogs, Inc.</small></strong></em><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/15/review-2009-nissan-maxima-return-of-the-four-door-sports-car/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Review: 2009 Nissan Maxima, return of the four-door sports car?</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/15/review-2009-nissan-maxima-return-of-the-four-door-sports-car/">Review: 2009 Nissan Maxima, return of the four-door sports car?</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 15 Apr 2009 11:59:00 EST. <br /> In recent weeks, America's comparatively stratospheric price of diesel fuel has slid back down to achieve parity with the price of conventional gasoline. One might think this development means it's a great time to invest in a new oil-burner for the driveway, but the reality is that unless you're an OPEC minister, there's no good way to ensure this pricing trend is here to stay. So, allow us to table the fuel economy argument for a moment and suggest a radically different reason for going diesel: driving enjoyment. <br /> <br /> While this idea may strike as an inherently foreign concept to most American motorists, the truth is that the torquetastic nature of diesel engines is particularly well suited to the Great American Roadscape - even more so than hybrid drivetrains. You can be forgiven for thinking otherwise - after all, automakers haven't exactly given U.S. consumers a boatload of entertaining derv burners to sample, have they? Thankfully, the folks at BMW may have just the prescription: the 335d.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-bmw-335d">Review: 2009 BMW 335d</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-bmw-335d/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/000_bmw335d_review_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-bmw-335d/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/002_bmw335d_review_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-bmw-335d/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/001_bmw335d_review_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-bmw-335d/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/003_bmw335d_review_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-bmw-335d/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/004_bmw335d_review_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><em><strong><small>Photos Copyright (C)2009 John Neff / Weblogs, Inc.</small></strong></em><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/10/review-2009-bmw-335d-proves-efficient-dynamics-is-more-entert/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Review: 2009 BMW 335d proves 'Efficient Dynamics' more entertaining than it sounds</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/10/review-2009-bmw-335d-proves-efficient-dynamics-is-more-entert/">Review: 2009 BMW 335d proves 'Efficient Dynamics' more entertaining than it sounds</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 10 Apr 2009 19:58:00 EST. <br />One of our favorite cars last year was a cream-colored, Japanese Domestic Market (JDM), second-generation <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/06/03/in-the-autoblog-garage-2008-nissan-cube/">Nissan Cube</a> that the Japanese automaker loaned us for a few days of commuting and assorted daily driving duties. It was a fantastic car, with excellent styling, the ingenious e-4WD system, a practical interior, and - bless its heart - a front bench seat. Nissan was passing around the keys because it wanted to build up buzz for the arrival of the third-generation Cube, which would break free of the right-hand-drive market prison to which its predecessors were restricted. The <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/06/03/in-the-autoblog-garage-2008-nissan-cube/">JDM Cube</a> was indeed a tasty appetizer, but now the main course has arrived. Once again, we were given the keys to a Nissan Cube for a few days. Only this time it was brown and, more importantly, you can actually buy it in the U.S.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-nissan-cube-u-s-spec">Review: 2009 Nissan Cube (U.S.-spec)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-nissan-cube-u-s-spec/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/003_us_cube_review_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-nissan-cube-u-s-spec/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/005_us_cube_review_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-nissan-cube-u-s-spec/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/006_us_cube_review_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-nissan-cube-u-s-spec/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/007_us_cube_review_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-nissan-cube-u-s-spec/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/04/008_us_cube_review_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><em><strong><small>Photos Copyright (C)2009 </small></strong></em><span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;"><small>Alex N&uacute;&ntilde;ez</small></span><em><strong><small> / Weblogs, Inc.</small></strong></em><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/07/review-2009-nissan-cube-s/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Review: 2009 Nissan Cube S is unbalanced, in a good way</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/04/07/review-2009-nissan-cube-s/">Review: 2009 Nissan Cube S is unbalanced, in a good way</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 07 Apr 2009 11:58:00 EST. <div align="center"><em><strong><small>2009 Mazda6 s Grand Touring - Click above for high-res image gallery</small></strong></em><br /></div>
<br />With a tagline like "Zoom Zoom", Mazda has given itself the mandate that every one of its vehicles must be fun to drive. While that standard is more easily met with dedicated sports cars like the RX-8 and MX-5, infusing the essence of Mazda's marketing pitch into CUVs, economy cars and family sedans is easier advertised than done. Mazda runs the risk of damaging its message if each iteration of the CX-7, CX-9, Mazda3, Mazda5 and Mazda6 doesn't measure up.<br /><br />And so the 2009 Mazda6 arrives with a new design, more room and more power as the brand's all-new offering in the hotly contested mid-size sedan segment. Being a Mazda, the new 6 will be compared just as much to the sedan it replaces as to competitors from Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Ford and Chevrolet. The prior version was the driver's choice among this field of vanilla four-doors, and the 2009 model must scream Mazda's mantra just as loudly while appealing to more customers. Does it accomplish this without diluting the company's "Zoom Zoom" message? Follow the jump to find out.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-mazda6-s-grand-touring">Review: 2009 Mazda6 s Grand Touring</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-mazda6-s-grand-touring/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/001_mazda6_review_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-mazda6-s-grand-touring/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/003_mazda6_review_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-mazda6-s-grand-touring/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/000_mazda6_review_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-mazda6-s-grand-touring/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/002_mazda6_review_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-mazda6-s-grand-touring/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/004_mazda6_review_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><em><strong><small>All photos Copyright (C)2009 John Neff / Weblogs, Inc.</small></strong></em><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/26/review-2009-mazda6-s-grand-touring/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Review: 2009 Mazda6 s Grand Touring</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/26/review-2009-mazda6-s-grand-touring/">Review: 2009 Mazda6 s Grand Touring</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 26 Mar 2009 11:57:00 EST. <br />The wagons we all know, love and grew up with gradually fell out of favor as the minivan took hold in the '80s. Led by Chrysler's practical little boxes, the van became the king of Mt. People Mover, only to be usurped by the SUV, which took the wagon formula and added a heaping dose of machismo. The wagons have all but vanished, and today, both SUVs and minivans resemble Hollywood stars whose salad days are clearly behind them. <br /><br />The so-called "crossover" is the new king, at least according to marketers who coined the maddeningly broad term, which now applies to everything from large, car-based pseudo-SUVs to what are - by all rights - traditional wagons, albeit with tall roofs and occasionally all-wheel drive. When Toyota elected to make the Highlander a substantially larger vehicle with three rows of seating, it left a void in its line-up for people seeking a utilitarian five-seater. The lack of a Camry wagon, which has been dead for ages, meant there was an opportunity for Toyota to fill-in the blank with something to compete against the Ford Edge, Nissan Murano and rest of the CUV set. And so we have the Venza.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-toyota-venza">Review: 2009 Toyota Venza</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-toyota-venza/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/001_venzareview_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-toyota-venza/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/002_venzareview_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-toyota-venza/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/000_venzareview_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-toyota-venza/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/003_venzareview_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-toyota-venza/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/004_venzareview_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><em><strong><small><br />All photos Copyright (C)2009 Alex Nunez / Weblogs, Inc.</small></strong></em><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/19/review-2009-toyota-venza/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Review: 2009 Toyota Venza is one surprisingly slick wagonoid</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/19/review-2009-toyota-venza/">Review: 2009 Toyota Venza is one surprisingly slick wagonoid</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 19 Mar 2009 11:58:00 EST. <div align="center"><em><strong><small>2010 Ford Mustang GT - Click above for high-res image gallery</small></strong></em><br /></div>
<br />We spent a few precious hours in the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/12/13/first-drive-2010-ford-mustang-gt/">2010 Ford Mustang GT</a> toward the end of last year. More recently, we were able to get a Kona Blue model in the Autoblog Garage, and this time, we spent a full week exploring the car's metropolis manners in between long rounds in the saddle, throwing the car over hill and dale... and around the track. This Mustang promises much, and on our <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/12/13/first-drive-2010-ford-mustang-gt/">First Drive</a>, it delivered as promised. <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/18/review-2010-ford-mustang-gt/">Follow the jump</a> to see if it could do the same for an entire week.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2010-ford-mustang-gt">Review: 2010 Ford Mustang GT</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2010-ford-mustang-gt/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/2010mustanggtabg_01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2010-ford-mustang-gt/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/2010mustanggtabg_02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2010-ford-mustang-gt/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/2010mustanggtabg_03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2010-ford-mustang-gt/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/2010mustanggtabg_04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2010-ford-mustang-gt/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/2010mustanggtabg_05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><strong><small>Photos copyright (C)2009 <a href="http://www.drewphillipsphotography.com/">Drew Phillips</a> / Weblogs, Inc</small></strong><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/18/review-2010-ford-mustang-gt/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Review: 2010 Ford Mustang GT - A full week changes attitudes</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/18/review-2010-ford-mustang-gt/">Review: 2010 Ford Mustang GT - A full week changes attitudes</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 18 Mar 2009 12:01:00 EST. <div style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;"><small>2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8 - Click above for high-res image gallery</small></span><br /></div>
<br />In many ways, the Jeep Grand Cherokee is one of the best vehicles in Chrysler's lineup. Along with the Wrangler, it packs real off-road capabilities into an angular, no-nonsense body. It's an authentic Jeep, first and foremost, and makes no excuses for being anything another than a full-fledged SUV.<br /><br />Then there's the SRT8 version.<br /><br />This is what happens when you let the hot-rod mavens at SRT play with time-honored Jeep tradition. Over the last decade, many manufacturers have created high performance SUVs and crossovers, but this beastie is the only one available with a HEMI. The SRT8 is the twisted offspring of the unnatural pairing of a Jeep and a Dodge Viper, and Chrysler was kind enough to loan us its hottest GC for a winter trip to the ski mounds of Northern Michigan. Find out how it behaved after the jump.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-jeep-grand-cherokee-srt8">Review: 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-jeep-grand-cherokee-srt8/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/000_cherokeesrt8ab_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-jeep-grand-cherokee-srt8/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/006_cherokeesrt8ab_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-jeep-grand-cherokee-srt8/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/001_cherokeesrt8ab_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-jeep-grand-cherokee-srt8/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/002_cherokeesrt8ab_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/review-2009-jeep-grand-cherokee-srt8/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/007_cherokeesrt8ab_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><strong><small>Photos copyright (C)2009 </small><small>Sam Abuelsamid / Weblogs, Inc.</small></strong><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/16/review-2009-jeep-grand-cherokee-srt8/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Review: 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/16/review-2009-jeep-grand-cherokee-srt8/">Review: 2009 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Mon, 16 Mar 2009 11:58:00 EST. <br />
The first Datsun 240Z rolled into American showrooms in 1969. Four decades later, we've got our hands wrapped around the thick, leather, multi-function steering wheel of its direct descendant, the all-new 370Z. With a 332 hp V6 and a six-speed manual transmission directing power to the rear wheels, our outlook is decidedly positive as we head out on the street (our <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/12/17/first-drive-2009-nissan-370z/">First Drive</a> on the track was back in December). Is all of the hype surrounding this new coupe justified? How does it compare to the GT-R? Just how did the all-new Z-car fare after a week in our garage? Find out after the jump...<br />
