Four small cars get 'poor' marks in latest batch of test results

Only one small car out of 12 tested earned a good grade in the latest round of crash-test results compiled by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The Mini Cooper Countryman received a "good" ranking on the organization's small-front overlap test.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety has crushed, mangled and smashed the 2013 Ford Fusion and gives it a coveted Top Safety Pick designation. That's the second Fusion generation in a row given the title.

AddConsumer Reports launches crash test video player [w/video]

We love a good crash-test video as much as the next auto-obsessive website, and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety is chock full of them. Unfortunately, the insurance watchdog used a video player system most likely designed back when Geocities was an Internet staple. AddIIHS rates the 2008 Subaru Impreza

Well, it seems the folks at the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety like the look of the new Subaru Impreza. Granted, a wrecked version of the car is what's got them going, but that's good for the rest of us. Why?
