<div style="text-align: center;"><em><strong><small>Hyundai i20 Sport Edition - Click above for high-res image gallery</small></strong></em></div>
<br />
After a 2008 introduction, the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/i20">Hyundai i20</a> is back at the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/paris-motor-show/">Paris Motor Show</a> but this time it's got a bit of an attitude. <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/make/hyundai/">Hyundai</a> has teamed up with <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/brabus">Brabus</a> to create the i20 Sport Edition. So far the only details released involve the appearance changes. The front skirt and wheel arches take on an angrier appearance while Yokohama rubber gets wrapped around a set of 17-inch Brabus alloy wheels. The black mesh looks good next to the black bezel around the headlights, as well as the added LED daytime running strips.<br />
<br />
While the outside sports that subtly-cool <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/hot+hatch">hot-hatch</a> look, the inside looks it was "designed" by the Great Pumpkin after a night spent throwing one too many back. Though the orange-black paint scheme is a little much, the sporty <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/recaro">Recaro</a> seats, leather-lined surfaces and seven-inch touchscreen are welcome additions.<br />
<br />
We're still waiting to hear what is powering the Hyundai i20 Sport Edition, but with Brabus involved we can only hope for the best. The car will enter production during the first half of 2011, and it will be released as a limited-edition model, available in both three and five-door versions. <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2010/09/30/paris-2010-hyundai-teams-up-with-brabus-for-sportier-i20/#continued">Follow the jump</a> for Hyundai's press blast.<br />

<br />
<a href="http://www.autoblog.com/make/hyundai/">Hyundai's</a> home office in Korea has dropped the first frontal image of a new concept that will be shown next week at the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/Geneva-Motor-Show/">Geneva Motor Show</a> along with some technical details. The <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2010/02/12/graceful-hyundai-i-flow-rendered-ahead-of-geneva-sheet-pulling/">i-Flow</a> is a D-segment sedan meant to go up against cars like the Ford Mondeo in Europe. Under the hood, the i-Flow has Hyundai's first diesel hybrid powertrain including a new 1.7-liter inline-four. The diesel has dual stage turbocharging and is paired up with Hyundai's Blue-drive system using a new six-speed dual clutch gearbox. Like the upcoming <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/hyundai/sonata">Sonata</a> hybrid, the i-Flow uses a lithium polymer battery pack. With its drag coefficient of 0.25, the i-Flow is claimed to achieve 78.4 miles per gallon (U.S.) and CO2 emissions of just 85 grams/kilometer. <br />
<br />
Joining the i-Flow onstage will be a refreshed version of the i30 (badged as the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/hyundai/elantra+touring">Elantra Touring</a> in North America) and low emissions "blue" versions of the i10, i20, i30 and ix35 (<a href="http://www.autoblog.com/hyundai/tucson">Tucson</a>). These models receive automatic start-stop, low rolling resistance tires and aero tweaks. The four cars all achieve CO2 ratings under 100 g/km while the crossover ix35 gets 135 g/km. Finally, Hyundai will also show a fuel cell version of the new ix35/<a href="http://www.autoblog.com/hyundai/tucson">Tucson</a> for the first time. Hyundai still plans to produce fuel cell vehicles in the thousands annually by 2012. <br />

<br />Fuel- and cash-conscious consumers in Europe will have a new runabout to choose from in April when the Hyundai i20 three-door hits dealers. The lowest rung of the i20 range will be unveiled at next month's <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/GenevaMotorShow/">Geneva Motor Show</a>, packing either a 78-hp, 1.2-liter "Kappa" four-cylinder or a 1.4-liter diesel. Both engines can be mated to either a four-speed automatic or five-speed manual gearbox, and the trim levels - Classic, Comfort and Style - will carry over from the five-door model. Hyundai is offering a limited number of available options, including a multi-function steering wheel and keyless entry, along with power windows and mirrors. Pricing starts out at &pound;8,195, or &pound;450 less than the current five door model. <em>Make the jump for Hyundai's press release.</em><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/hyundai-i20-three-door">Hyundai i20 three-door</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/hyundai-i20-three-door/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/i20-3-door-1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/hyundai-i20-three-door/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/02/i20-3-door-2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/19/hyundai-reveals-three-door-i20-ahead-of-geneva/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Hyundai reveals three-door i20 ahead of Geneva</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/02/19/hyundai-reveals-three-door-i20-ahead-of-geneva/">Hyundai reveals three-door i20 ahead of Geneva</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 19 Feb 2009 15:32:00 EST. <div align="center"><em><strong><small>Click above for more shots of Hyundai's Paris 2008 Lineup</small></strong></em><br /></div>
<br />Hyundai is headed to the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/Paris-Motor-Show/">Paris Motor Show</a> with a bevy of environmentally friendly models and concepts. In addition to bringing along production-intent vehicles like the new i20, Genesis Coupe and Genesis sedan, the automaker will showcase two new concepts that will also carry its blue theme. Remember, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/01/blue-the-new-green-in-automotive-environmentalism/">blue is the new green</a>. Anyway, the i20 blue features aero tweaks and low rolling-resistance tires in order to improve its efficiency, but it's the Santa Fe hybrid that's a bit more interesting. That new model features an electric motor that puts out 30kW of power along with a 2.4-liter four cylinder engine. Both powerplants feed their power through a six-speed automatic transmission with revised gear ratios optimized for fuel savings. A 270V lithium-polymer battery pack sends the juice to the electric motor, and it all adds up to 38 mpg in the U.S. and carbon emissions of 148 g/km. We'll be in Paris to see these things up close and personal, so stay tuned.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/hyundais-paris-2008-line">Hyundai's Paris 2008 Line</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/hyundais-paris-2008-line/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/hyundai_paris_6_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/hyundais-paris-2008-line/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/hyundai_paris_5_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/hyundais-paris-2008-line/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/hyundai_paris_4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/hyundais-paris-2008-line/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/hyundai_paris_1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/hyundais-paris-2008-line/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/09/hyundai_paris_2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: <a href="http://carscoop.blogspot.com/2008/09/hyundais-38mpg-santa-fe-blue-hybrid.html">Carscoop</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/26/paris-preview-hyundai-goes-strike-green-strike-blue-in-paris/">Paris Preview: Hyundai goes <strike>green</strike> blue in Paris</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 26 Sep 2008 17:30:00 EST. With availability set for sometime early next year, the i20 features five doors and a longer wheelbase than the outgoing Getz, which means there's more space for passengers inside. Its styling was penned in Germany at Hyundai's European Design Centre, and that's a good thing as the i20 is one sharply dressed econo car. Unfortunately, the i20 was designed specifically for European tastes, and like the Getz, won't be making an appearance in the U.S. anytime soon.<br /><br />Accompanying the new i20 in Paris will be the i20 i-blue concept, a high-mpg concept version of the production car that can achieve 68 mpg on the Euro cycle, as well as a hybrid Sante Fe concept and new ix55 sport ute based on the Veracruz. We'll be in Paris next month to watch it all go down, so stay tuned. <br /><br />[Source: Hyundai, <a href="http://es.autoblog.com/2008/09/03/pre-salon-de-paris-hyundai-anuncia-el-nuevo-i20/">Autoblog Spanish</a>]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/03/paris-preview-hyundai-to-debut-new-i20-sub-compact/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Paris Preview: Hyundai to debut new i20 sub-compact</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/03/paris-preview-hyundai-to-debut-new-i20-sub-compact/">Paris Preview: Hyundai to debut new i20 sub-compact</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 03 Sep 2008 10:28:00 EST.
