North America doesn't get to see the 2016 Elantra until the Los Angles Auto Show in November, but Hyundai has revealed the next-gen sedan for the Korean market. The revised styling makes it look all grown up.
The 2016 Hyundai Elantra gets a new Value Edition trim that bundles together creature comforts like heated seats and a sunroof. There are other small tweaks in the lineup too, keeping things fresh ahead of the upcoming, next-generation model.
Hyundai is recalling around 205,000 examples of the 2008-2010 Elantra sedan and 2009-2010 Elantra Touring because the electrically assisted power steering can potentially fail. The fix is updating the ECU for the component.

The 2011 Sonata and 2011 Elantra were seen as the apotheosis of the brand's forward progress when they were introduced, but falling J.D. Power and Associates Dependability Study results may actually cause them to hurt the company's hard-earned reputation.
