<div align="center"><em><strong><small>Click above for a high-res gallery the Honda Accord Tourer Type-S</small></strong></em><br /></div>
<br />The vehicle above represents some of our favorite features in a main-stream car, but we're fully aware that we're in the minority when it comes to drivers in the U.S. market. This is the new European market Honda Accord Tourer Type-S, the same vehicle sold in sedan form in the States as the Acura TSX. The wagon retains the overall size and dynamic characteristics of the four-door while adding a huge dollop of utility when needed, and it's particularly handsome in person. Rumor has it we'll see this body style appear as a new Honda CUV in the U.S. this fall with the high riding Outback treatment. <br /><br />The wagon is not new to Europe, but the Type-S (also available as a sedan) is. The Type-S Accord gets a 178 hp version of Honda's new iDTEC 2.2L diesel four cylinder with a stiff 280 lb-ft of torque, along with larger 18" wheels and bumper and sill extensions for a more aggressive look.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-honda-accord-tourer-type-s-1/low/">Geneva 2009: Honda Accord Tourer Type-S</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-honda-accord-tourer-type-s-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/accord-s-diesel-1280-1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-honda-accord-tourer-type-s-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/accord-s-diesel-1280-7_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-honda-accord-tourer-type-s-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/accord-s-diesel-1280-3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-honda-accord-tourer-type-s-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/accord-s-diesel-1280-4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/geneva-2009-honda-accord-tourer-type-s-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/03/accord-s-diesel-1280-5_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><span style="font-weight: bold; font-style: italic;">Photos Copyright (C)2009 Sam Abuelsamid / Weblogs, Inc.</span><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/04/geneva-2009-honda-accord-tourer-type-s/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Geneva 2009: Honda Accord Tourer Type-S</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/04/geneva-2009-honda-accord-tourer-type-s/">Geneva 2009: Honda Accord Tourer Type-S</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 04 Mar 2009 08:32:00 EST. The wagon is rumored to be a development mule, but despite the taped-on fender flares and added length, the body doesn't look half-bad.<br /><br />This new model could fit in between the CR-V and Pilot in the Honda lineup, and although there's no word on powerplants, the test mule had a rear differential, so AWD is almost a certainty. It is believed that this new AllRoad-challenger will go into production late next year at the Marysville or East Liberty plant and we're expecting to see the vehicle in concept form at the 2009 <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/DetroitAutoShow/">Detroit Auto Show</a>, even though <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/11/26/honda-i-will-i-be-in-detroit-sans-press-conference/">Honda won't have a press conference</a> to show it off. We'll keep you posted, but for now, follow the link to see the pics.<br /><br />[Source: <a href="http://www.auto123.com/en/news/car-news/scoop-2010-honda-accord-cuv?model=Accord&amp;carid=1102300100&amp;artid=103099">Auto123</a>]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/11/26/spy-shots-honda-accord-crossover-wagon-caught/">Spy Shots: Honda Accord crossover/wagon caught</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 26 Nov 2008 12:33:00 EST. Back in 2001, the S2000 brought home the trophy and in 2006, it was the current-generation Civic <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/03/29/honda-chalks-up-another-win-for-the-civic/">nabbing the honor</a>. The Red Dot Award for design is a big deal in international circles, and while there are awards for products in 11 categories, there's only one Transportation award. Honda winning three times, including two-in-a-row, is remarkable.<br /><br />While our Accord is a different animal entirely, the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/03/04/geneva-2008-honda-reveals-the-2009-euro-accord-sedan-wagon/">Euro-model Accord</a> is available here, albeit in sedan form only, as the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/03/19/new-york-2008-2009-acura-tsx-revealed-again-but-live/"></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/03/19/new-york-2008-2009-acura-tsx-revealed-again-but-live/">2009 Acura </a>TSX. It's amazing that an award-winning design as classy and elegantly understated as that of the European Accord could share so much in common with the polarizing lines of the redesigned 2009 Acura TSX. <br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-honda-accord-euro-spec/low/">2009 Honda Accord - Euro spec</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-honda-accord-euro-spec/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/03/01_live_accord_euro_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-honda-accord-euro-spec/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/03/02_live_accord_euro_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-honda-accord-euro-spec/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/03/03_live_accord_euro_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-honda-accord-euro-spec/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/03/04_live_accord_euro_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-honda-accord-euro-spec/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/03/05_live_accord_euro_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-acura-tsx/low/">2009 Acura TSX</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-acura-tsx/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/03/acura_tsx_2009_01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-acura-tsx/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/03/acura_tsx_2009_02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-acura-tsx/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/03/acura_tsx_2009_03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-acura-tsx/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/03/acura_tsx_2009_04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-acura-tsx/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/03/acura_tsx_2009_05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: Car Pages]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/03/27/euro-accord-tourer-wins-red-dot-award-for-design/">Euro Accord Tourer wins Red Dot Award for design</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 27 Mar 2008 06:58:00 EST. So when we see spy shots of the old country's new Accord, we're interested because we're looking at the next TSX for us. This image was sent into us by Autoblog reader bojan with not much information, but it's clear that we're looking at the 2009 Honda Accord Tourer (wagon) for Europe. The car's shape is based on the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/09/11/frankfurt-2007-honda-accord-tourer-previews-accord-wagon/">Accord Tourer Concept</a> that was shown by the automaker at the Frankfurt Motor Show last September. Since there's virtually no covering, we can make all those bits that Honda showed use in a series of <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/23/geneva-08-preview-teaser-images-of-euro-honda-accord-released/">teaser images</a> it released late last month. It's shaping up to be one extremely sharp wagon, which we'll get to see in person next month at the Geneva Motor Show. Even though we'll get the sedan version of this car over here in the States as the next Acura TSX, the tourer model will likely remain beyond our reach and not offered in the U.S.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/spy-shots-2008-honda-accord-euro/low/">Spy Shots: 2008 Honda Accord (Euro)</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/spy-shots-2008-honda-accord-euro/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/accordeuro1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/spy-shots-2008-honda-accord-euro/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/accordeuro2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/european-honda-accord-teaser-images/low/">European Honda Accord - teaser images</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/european-honda-accord-teaser-images/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/0000euroaccordtourer_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/european-honda-accord-teaser-images/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/0001euroaccordtourer_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/european-honda-accord-teaser-images/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/0002euroaccordtourer_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/european-honda-accord-teaser-images/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/0003euroaccordtourer_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/european-honda-accord-teaser-images/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/0004euroaccordtourer_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/02/08/reader-spy-shot-euro-honda-accord-tourer-snapped-at-pump/">Spy Shot: Euro Honda Accord Tourer snapped at pump</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 08 Feb 2008 18:11:00 EST. Honda says it plans on building something that will look a lot like this estate by the middle of next year and we hope they aren't lying. This is one of the swoopiest wagons we've seen in a while. Particularly at the rear, it has some beautiful lines that are elegant and sporty, and downright sexy. It makes us think of an Alfa Romeo, which is a good thing. This concept changes very little of the new Accord as we know it, stretching the track and width a bit to help with cargo space and handling. It will feature the 2.0- and 2.4-liter gas engines, as well as Honda's 2.2-liter diesel, as options when it goes into production, which means it will be a full all-Euro 5-compliant vehicle across the board. Honda says we'll see the final version at Geneva and we can't wait. Hopefully a U.S. version will be in the plans as well.<br /><br />[Source: Honda]<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/honda-accord-tourer-concept/low/">Honda Accord Tourer Concept</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/honda-accord-tourer-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/09/01_tourer_concept_front_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/honda-accord-tourer-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/09/02_tourer_concept_front_drk_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/honda-accord-tourer-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/09/03_tourer_concept_front_3_4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/honda-accord-tourer-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/09/04_tourer_concept_side_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/honda-accord-tourer-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/09/05_tourer_concept_side_dark_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/09/11/frankfurt-2007-honda-accord-tourer-previews-accord-wagon/">Frankfurt 2007: Honda Accord Tourer previews Accord Wagon</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 11 Sep 2007 11:31:00 EST.
