Hello Kitty wheel We imagine that axe murderers and other unsavory types have a special circle of Hell waiting for them when their tickets ultimately get punched. In all likelihood, these are dark and miserable people. For them, Hell might be a place where the Hello Kitty theme plays on endless loop, incessantly friendly cartoon animals try to befriend them, said cartoon animals cannot be killed, and they're all driving Mitsubishi i minicars fitted with the rims you see at right. Because you know, cute overload isn't cute overload until you have Hello Kitty wheels (that cost $900). Avoid a life of violent crime (or the use of hallucinogenics), and this eternal fate can be avoided. Unless you go to Japan, of course. Then all bets are off, and you're on your own.

Hello Kitty Car ChargerAs Autoblog's unofficial chronicler of all things Hello Kitty in the automotive sector (interesting where life can take you, isn't it?), it is with some degree of pleasure and a small bit of horror that I present to you the Hello Kitty iPod car charger.

Via our Weblogs, Inc. cousins over at TUAW, we learn that the hot pink, Kitty-emblazoned iPeripheral features a built-in FM transmitter, so all one needs to do is plug it into a car's cigarette lighter auxiliary power socket, lean back, and pump to your favorite tunes as Kitty winks at you from her yellow convertible.

Oh, and by the way: we have to deduct a few points for a lack of accuracy regarding the car she appears to be driving. Everybody knows Kitty rolls in a pink Mitsubishi.

Mitsubishi I Princess Kitty

Never mind the Mitsu-provided renderings we brought you earlier this month. Japan's Carview has been to the Mitsukoshi department store in Tokyo's Nihonbashi district, where the one-of-a-kind Mitsubishi i "Princess Kitty" special edition is on display.

True to the renderings, the Princess Kitty is a rolling tribute to the loveable Sanrio character. Pink paint, special decals, and a themed interior complete with kitty-shaped headrests are the car's not-so-subtle identifiers.

Later this week, a drawing will be held at the Mitsukoshi store to determine who gets the right to buy the car, which is likely the most interesting Hello Kitty collectible ever.
