<br /> Although the Hummer sale isn't officially official - which is to say, the Chinese authorities haven't told Tengzhong "Proceed!" - it is official enough that GM has restarted production of the 2010 H3 and H3T at its Shreveport, LA plant. General Motors didn't want to be stuck with dead models, so it closed the Hummer spigot while its side of the deal with Tengzhong was finalized. By the beginning of this month, though, the bottom of the inventory barrel was starting to peek through, with just 1,183 units on hand.<br /> <br /> Even though Hummer sales are down more than 50 percent, nevertheless people are still buying, and the company's two H3 models are obviously the most popular. According to <em>Automotive News</em>, a Hummer spokesman reports that the 2010s should be arriving in dealerships in December - and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/11/06/not-done-yet-hummer-h3-h3t-get-biofuel-capability-new-colors/">as we reported earlier</a>, you may even find them in two new colors and with biofuel capability.<br /> <br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-hummer-h3-and-h3t/low/">2010 Hummer H3 and H3T</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-hummer-h3-and-h3t/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/11/2010-hummer-h3-large-1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-hummer-h3-and-h3t/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/11/2010-hummer-h3-large-2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2010-hummer-h3-and-h3t/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/11/2010-hummer-h3-large-3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /> [Source: <a href="http://www.autonews.com/article/20091109/ANA05/911099985/1263">Automotive News</a>, sub. req'd]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/11/11/hummer-grinds-gears-production-of-2010-h3-and-h3t-resumes/">Hummer grinds gears: production of 2010 H3 and H3T resumes</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 11 Nov 2009 14:28:00 EST. <br />
Can a Hummer be green? The brand that most obviously represents American excess in the minds of environmentalists - though Hummer's vehicles aren't <em>actually</em> worse than any other large SUV - has seemingly been fighting off its negative stigma since shortly after the introduction of the larger-than-life H2. Part of the brand's hopeful transformation includes <a href="http://green.autoblog.com/2007/12/11/all-hummers-to-be-biofuel-capable-by-2010/">giving each model a flex-fuel variant</a>, and the latest application of that principle is seen on the 2010 H3 and H3T.<br />
<br />
Interestingly, the engine that gets the E85 capability is the largest and most powerful option: the 5.3-liter V8 as fitted to the top-level Alpha series - not the slightly more fuel efficient inline-five. In any case, anyone who ticks the V8 box on the options list will be blessed with 300 horsepower, 320 lb-ft of torque and the ability to pump ethanol into the tank if he or she should so desire.<br />
<br />
Not green enough for you? Baby steps, people... Hummer CEO James Taylor (no, not <em>that</em> <a href="http://rds.yahoo.com/_ylt=A0geu7SfW_RKZzsBJZdXNyoA;_ylu=X3oDMTEzYWFoYWpoBHNlYwNzcgRwb3MDMQRjb2xvA2FjMgR2dGlkA00wMDFfMTMz/SIG=11fn8jfdq/EXP=1257614623/**http%3a//www.jamestaylor.com/">James Taylor</a>) promises bigger eco steps in the near future, saying, "This is just the first step in Hummer's evolution to offer responsible, yet highly capable all-terrain vehicles. Future models will be lighter, more efficient and will continue to offer the best blend of off-road capability and on-road performance."<br />
<br />
In related news, the 2010 Hummer H3 and H3T will be offered with three new premium exterior colors for 2010: Red Rock Metallic, Silver Stone Metallic, and Canyon Metallic. Huh, no green? Each of the three new hues can be seen in our photo gallery below, and you can view the official press release after the jump. Enjoy!<br />

<div align="center"><em><strong><small>Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited vs. Hummer H3T - Click above for high-res image gallery</small></strong></em><br /></div>
<br />Last year, we compared the dirtside manners of the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/15/autoblog-comparo-moving-mountains-toyota-landcruiser-vs-humm/">Hummer H2 and Toyota Land Cruiser</a>. Both trucks did everything we asked of them, but at the end of the excursion we were left with another question begging to be answered: could the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/HummerH3T/">Hummer H3T</a> stand up to the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/tag/JeepWranglerUnlimitedRubicon/">Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon</a>? These cruiserweights live on a fatter part of the buying curve, and any time a Jeep is summoned to the ring, the other vehicle is inevitably the challenger. Even though the H3T is still relatively new to the world, it came time to find out if it was ready to stand up and fight for its place. Follow the jump to see how it held up.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/jeep-wrangler-unlimited-rubicon-vs-hummer-h3t/low/">Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon vs. Hummer H3T</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/jeep-wrangler-unlimited-rubicon-vs-hummer-h3t/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/hummervsrubicon000_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/jeep-wrangler-unlimited-rubicon-vs-hummer-h3t/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/hummervsrubicon001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/jeep-wrangler-unlimited-rubicon-vs-hummer-h3t/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/hummervsrubicon002_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/jeep-wrangler-unlimited-rubicon-vs-hummer-h3t/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/hummervsrubicon003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/jeep-wrangler-unlimited-rubicon-vs-hummer-h3t/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/06/hummervsrubicon004_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><em><strong><small>Photos Copyright (C)2009 Jonathon Ramsey / Weblogs, Inc.</small></strong></em><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/30/autoblog-comparo-jeep-wrangler-unlimited-rubicon-vs-hummer-h3t/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Autoblog Comparo: Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon vs. Hummer H3T</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/06/30/autoblog-comparo-jeep-wrangler-unlimited-rubicon-vs-hummer-h3t/">Autoblog Comparo: Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon vs. Hummer H3T</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 30 Jun 2009 11:55:00 EST. Four Wheeler magazine put the marque's newest brute, the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/08/08/first-drive-hummer-h3t/">H3T Alpha</a>, up against the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/12/detroit-2008-2009-dodge-ram-breaks-through-the-gate/">Dodge Ram</a>, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/17/first-drive-2009-ford-f-150-capability-matters/">Ford F-150</a>, and... um... the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/23/first-drive-2009-suzuki-equator/">Suzuki Equator</a> (bet you didn't see that one coming), and the V8-powered HUMMER truck took home the medal. <br /><br />The trials lasted a week and involved traveling 1,000 miles over various terrain from sea level to more than a mile high. According to Four Wheeler, "Not only was the HUMMER highly competent and the staff favorite on the trail, it also has the added pluses of on-road comfort, distinctive looks and a usable pickup bed." While we wouldn't mind seeing the H3T earn the top spot against a wider field and stiffer competition, regardless of year, it's good to see it rewarded for its monumental capability.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/in-the-autoblog-garage-2009-hummer-h3t-alpha/low/">Review: 2009 HUMMER H3T Alpha</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/in-the-autoblog-garage-2009-hummer-h3t-alpha/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/01_h3t_garage_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/in-the-autoblog-garage-2009-hummer-h3t-alpha/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/02_h3t_garage_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/in-the-autoblog-garage-2009-hummer-h3t-alpha/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/00_h3t_garage_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/in-the-autoblog-garage-2009-hummer-h3t-alpha/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/03_h3t_garage_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/in-the-autoblog-garage-2009-hummer-h3t-alpha/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/04_h3t_garage_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br />[Source: Four Wheeler]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/12/09/hummer-h3t-declared-pickup-truck-of-the-year-by-four-wheeler/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>HUMMER H3T declared Pickup Truck of the Year by Four Wheeler</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/12/09/hummer-h3t-declared-pickup-truck-of-the-year-by-four-wheeler/">HUMMER H3T declared Pickup Truck of the Year by Four Wheeler</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 09 Dec 2008 16:58:00 EST. <br /> The 2009 HUMMER H3T Alpha arrived in the Autobog Garage on Election Day, and so it was my transportation to and from the local polling station to exercise my civic duty. I had the HUMMER in my thoughts when I went to cast my ballot, and looking at the paper before me was like seeing the fate of General Motors reflected in this year's presidential election. <br /> <br /> Barack Obama was new, different and promised an uncharted path to better times, the physical manifestation for this country of what the Chevy Volt is to GM. John McCain was both fiery and familiar, a well-liked veteran returning once again with a vision for America that was the same but better, just like the new Camaro. If Obama is to the Volt as McCain is to the Camaro, then that would make our current president the HUMMER H3T. It's the lame duck truck.<br /><br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/in-the-autoblog-garage-2009-hummer-h3t-alpha/low/">Review: 2009 HUMMER H3T Alpha</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/in-the-autoblog-garage-2009-hummer-h3t-alpha/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/01_h3t_garage_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/in-the-autoblog-garage-2009-hummer-h3t-alpha/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/02_h3t_garage_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/in-the-autoblog-garage-2009-hummer-h3t-alpha/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/00_h3t_garage_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/in-the-autoblog-garage-2009-hummer-h3t-alpha/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/03_h3t_garage_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/in-the-autoblog-garage-2009-hummer-h3t-alpha/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/11/04_h3t_garage_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><em><span style="font-weight: bold;"><small>Photos Copyright (C)2008 John Neff / Weblogs, Inc.</small></span></em><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/11/18/in-the-autoblog-garage-2009-hummer-h3t-alpha/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Review: 2009 HUMMER H3T Alpha</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/11/18/in-the-autoblog-garage-2009-hummer-h3t-alpha/">Review: 2009 HUMMER H3T Alpha</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 18 Nov 2008 11:58:00 EST. <br />HUMMER's presence at this year's SEMA show will be typified by a trio of tuned H3s, ranging from a mildly modded Alpha to an H3T ready to traverse the desert surrounding Sin City.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/hummer-at-2008-sema/1113195/"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" align="right" alt="" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/10/05_hummer_08_sema_250op.jpg" /></a>The most sedate of the three is the warmed-over H3 X Alpha concept, which features new 18-inch wheels shod in 35-inch all-terrain tires, black chrome trim, body-colored bumper extensions and clear turn signal housings. The exterior is coated in Canyon Metallic, while inside, the leather seats, armrests and shift knob all receive contrasting orange stitching along with matching piping and a HUMMER Accessories DVD headrest system.<br /><br />Far more impressive is the H3T Weekend Warrior concept (above), which capitalizes on HUMMER's off-road cred with a series of engine and suspension mods. Output of the 5.3-liter V8 has been increased by around 70 hp through the use of an LS2 cylinder head, high-lift cam and custom 3.5-inch exhaust. Rolling stock is comprised of HUMMER Accessories' 20-inch wheels wrapped in BFGoodrich Baja T/A rubber, suspended by a Light Racing Jounce Shocks and Rod Hall Racing piggyback performance reservoirs, with brakes provided by DBA.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/hummer-at-2008-sema/1113196/"><img vspace="4" hspace="4" border="1" align="left" alt="" src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/10/03_hummer_08_sema_250op.jpg" /></a>Finally, <em>Four Wheeler</em> magazine got its own H3 Alpha to play with, and began by "de-glossing" the Victory Red paint scheme with a PPG flattening agent mixed with clear to give it an incredibly cool satin appearance. The only engine mod is a MagnaFlow cat-back exhaust, but what <em>Four Wheeler</em> didn't spend on motivation it made up for with suspension components. Nitrogen-charged, two-inch Rod Hall Racing performance shocks and Light Racing Jounce Shocks compliment the flat-black 16-inch Simulock wheels coated in BFG Mud-Terrain T/A tires.<br /><br />We'll be on hand in two weeks to bring you all the details from the show floor, but in the meantime, check the gallery below and the press release after the jump.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/hummer-at-2008-sema/low/">HUMMER at 2008 SEMA</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/hummer-at-2008-sema/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/10/01_hummer_08_sema_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/hummer-at-2008-sema/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/10/02_hummer_08_sema_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/hummer-at-2008-sema/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/10/03_hummer_08_sema_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/hummer-at-2008-sema/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/10/04_hummer_08_sema_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/hummer-at-2008-sema/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/10/05_hummer_08_sema_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/22/sema-preview-trio-of-hummer-h3s-set-to-invade-vegas/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>SEMA Preview: Trio of HUMMER H3s set to invade Vegas</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/10/22/sema-preview-trio-of-hummer-h3s-set-to-invade-vegas/">SEMA Preview: Trio of HUMMER H3s set to invade Vegas</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 22 Oct 2008 15:32:00 EST. The brand has been the go-to effigy when something needs to burn on the altar of eco desecration. But HUMMER doesn't have a theme song, it has the tagline "Like No Other." It also has a new pick-em-up truck we had the chance to drive recently in the High Sierras: the H3T. Pricing starts at $31,495, including a $745 destination charge -- $850 less than a comparable H3.<br /><br />For that kind of cash, you get a five-foot-long bed covered with an integrated liner and built-in storage system, full-time electronically controlled four-wheel-drive, 32-inch tires, functional skid plates and the five-year/100,000-mile warranty. The base model will pack the 3.7-liter five-cylinder, but a 5.3-liter V8 will be available, along with Bluetooth integration and an upgraded OnStar system. GM hasn't released details on what that kind of kit will set you back, but you can hit up your local dealer to find out when the H3T goes on sale in September.<br /><br />Hit the jump for HUMMER's press release and check out our <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/25/chicago-08-preview-2009-hummer-h3t/">previous post on the H3T</a>.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-hummer-h3t-1/low/">2009 HUMMER H3T</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-hummer-h3t-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/000009hummerh3ta_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-hummer-h3t-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/000109hummerh3ta_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-hummer-h3t-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/000209hummerh3ta_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-hummer-h3t-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/000309hummerh3ta_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-hummer-h3t-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/000409hummerh3ta_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/07/11/hummer-h3t-starting-at-31-495-sales-begin-september/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>HUMMER H3T starting at $31,495, sales begin September</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/07/11/hummer-h3t-starting-at-31-495-sales-begin-september/">HUMMER H3T starting at $31,495, sales begin September</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 11 Jul 2008 16:58:00 EST. While the rest of the crowd at GM's press conference had their focus set on the unveiling of the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/02/06/chicago-2008-chevy-unveils-2009-traverse-w-video/">2009 Chevy Traverse</a>, the 2009 HUMMER H3T sat in the corner, all but ignored by camera-toting journos. We, however, know a good thing when we see it (though many of you might disagree). And considering how the H3T is sporting an elongated wheelbase and a five-foot long bed, it remains one of a few significant unveilings here in Chi-town.<br /><br />Just as a refresher, the H3T gets power from either the anemic 3.7-liter five-cylinder mill we've come to know and loathe or a 5.3-liter V8 when equipped in the top-level Alpha trim. Towing capacity is 5,900 pounds, which should be plenty for a family of four with dirt bikes in tow.<br /><br />Check out our high-res gallery of live and press shots below and head on over to our <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/25/chicago-08-preview-2009-hummer-h3t/">original post</a> for all the details on the new HUMMER H3T.<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-chicago-2009-hummer-h3t-live/low/">2008 Chicago: 2009 HUMMER H3T live</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-chicago-2009-hummer-h3t-live/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/08chi_h3t1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-chicago-2009-hummer-h3t-live/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/08chi_h3t2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-chicago-2009-hummer-h3t-live/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/08chi_h3t3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-chicago-2009-hummer-h3t-live/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/08chi_h3t4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-chicago-2009-hummer-h3t-live/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/08chi_h3t5_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-hummer-h3t-1/low/">2009 HUMMER H3T</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-hummer-h3t-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/000009hummerh3ta_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-hummer-h3t-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/000109hummerh3ta_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-hummer-h3t-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/000209hummerh3ta_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-hummer-h3t-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/000309hummerh3ta_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-hummer-h3t-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/000409hummerh3ta_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/02/06/chicago-2008-hummer-h3t-makes-unceremonious-debut/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Chicago 2008: HUMMER H3T makes unceremonious debut</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/02/06/chicago-2008-hummer-h3t-makes-unceremonious-debut/">Chicago 2008: HUMMER H3T makes unceremonious debut</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 06 Feb 2008 15:15:00 EST. After a few days in the High Sierras putting pre-production versions through boulder-strewn paces, the words from HMR magazine are: it's good!<br /><br />Once past the marketing-speak -- like "With its unique size and HUMMER traits, the H3T is ideal for the customer who works hard and plays harder" -- the H3T with the Adventure Package put in a proper HUMMER showing: the 5-foot bed hasn't killed the truck's departure angle, the length hasn't ruined its agility, and it even got in the obligatory Jeep smackdown encounter. The H3T also has 160 official aftermarket partners creating a glutton's range of branded accessories.<br /><br />The public will find out if it's really the lion's roar when it shows up on dealer lots in September. Until then, click the link to get the full review, and Autoblog will bring up the up-close and personal from its debut at next week's Chicago Auto Show.<br /><br />[Source: PickupTruck.com]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/02/03/hmr-magazine-drives-the-hummer-h3t-mule/">HMR magazine drives the HUMMER H3T mule</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Sun, 03 Feb 2008 14:29:00 EST. We spend a good bit of time talking about the excitement that's filled the Autoblog garage lately. Damon used a handily available Audi R8 as a chase car when we went to drive the Tesla Roadster, and Alex has been sampling the Subaru Tribeca and STI, as well as a rogue Volvo S80. John has been having a blissful month rocking the 1999 Oldsmobile Alero Coupe, too. <br /><br />There's lots of good car talk, and we take a detour into cupholder minutiae before getting to actual news. A few embargoes fell in front of the upcoming <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/category/chicago-auto-show/">Chicago Auto Show</a>. Car and Driver's blatant <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/25/first-official-challenger-srt8-photos-leak-onto-the-web/">cover poll</a> opened the door for <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/search/?q=challenger&amp;sort=date">Challenger</a> images. Subterfuge aside, the Challenger's a knockout, despite its interior that's granted refugee status to the Sebring's trappings. Trucks will make some news at the Chicago show, and Truck Trend showed us the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/25/hummer-h3t-images-released-early-in-magazine/">Hummer H3T</a> and <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/29/chicago-08-preview-official-rendering-of-suzuki-equator-releas/">Suzuki Equator,</a> and compact pickups are where we leave it. Until next time, thanks for listening!<br /><br /><a href="http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=73331469&amp;s=http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=73331469&amp;s=http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=73331469&amp;s=http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=73331469&amp;s=http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=73331469&amp;s=http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=73331469&amp;s=http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=73331469&amp;s=http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=73331469&amp;s=http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=73331469&amp;s=http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=73331469&amp;s="><strong>SUBSCRIBE</strong></a> to the Autoblog Podcast in iTunes<br /><a href="http://stadium.weblogsinc.com/autoblog/podcasts/auto20080130_0086.mp3"><strong>LISTEN</strong></a> to the show now<br /><a href="http://podcasts.autoblog.com/rss.xml"><strong>ADD</strong></a> the Autoblog Podcast feed to your RSS aggregator<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/31/autoblog-podcast-86/">Autoblog Podcast #86</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 31 Jan 2008 15:03:00 EST. For one, it's a true truck with a separate cab and bed, which gives it some true truck capability compared to other crew cab unibody trucks on the market like the Honda Ridgeline (we know, a very unfair comparison). Riding on a stretched version of the regular H3's platform, the H3T will also be available with a huge catalog of optional dealer-installed accessories to personalize the truck to an owner's specific needs. <br /><br />We'll see the H3T in person next week at the 2008 Chicago Auto Show, and HUMMER has even shown the truck in person to <a href="http://blogs.cars.com/kickingtires/2008/01/h3t.html">a few journalists</a> already, but we thought you'd be interested in this string of b-roll video that the automaker has just released. We've spared you a techno soundtrack, so you'll hear the HUMMER H3T plowing through the snow as God intended, as well as few quick quips from HUMMER General Manager Martin Walsh and Director of Design Carl Zipfel about why they think the H3T is the cat's meow. <em><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/31/video-hummer-h3t-in-the-roundb/">Follow the jump</a> to view the video.</em><br /><br />[Source: GM]<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-hummer-h3t-1/low/">2009 HUMMER H3T</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-hummer-h3t-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/000009hummerh3ta_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-hummer-h3t-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/000109hummerh3ta_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-hummer-h3t-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/000209hummerh3ta_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-hummer-h3t-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/000309hummerh3ta_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-hummer-h3t-1/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/01/000409hummerh3ta_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/31/video-hummer-h3t-in-the-roundb/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>VIDEO: HUMMER H3T in the round</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/31/video-hummer-h3t-in-the-roundb/">VIDEO: HUMMER H3T in the round</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 31 Jan 2008 13:03:00 EST. That's because scans of the pics have hit the interweb, giving us an early and unofficial look at the truck. <br /><br />Captions reveal that the HUMMER H3T will be available with a large number of dealer-installed accessories, including hardware for tying down your ten-speed or securing your (small) motorcycle and storage toolboxes, while GM's familiar bedrail system will be standard. There are reportedly storage bins built into the walls of the bed's plastic liner, and while they're no <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2009-dodge-ram-1/576946/">Ram Box</a>, should be big enough to hold small items like tools and gloves. <br /><br />We'll have to wait until we arrive in Chicago to tell you more, but we weren't even supposed to know this much, so it's all gravy, baby. <br /><br />[Source: hummerguy.net]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/01/25/hummer-h3t-images-released-early-in-magazine/">HUMMER H3T images published early by <em>Truck Trend</em></a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 25 Jan 2008 14:58:00 EST. For some inexplicable reason, however, this HUMMER H3T prototype has been seen driving around in plain site outside the proving grounds. In fact, it was snapped at the recent Baja 1000 where it played the part of chase vehicle in full pre-production camouflage. <br /><br />You can see that the production model will indeed have four doors, unlike the short-bed two-door <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/10/30/hummer-h3t-coming-q3-2008/">H3T Concept</a> that HUMMER showed us back in 2003. That means the bed is not very big: about 4-feet wide by 4.5- to 5-feet long. You can forget about hauling full-size sheets of plywood, but the H3 HUT will offer additional storage options in the form of cargo boxes in the bed sides, and maybe even a removable lunchbox! Underneath it will be standard H3 fare, which means your choice of the new 295-hp 5.3L V8 or the 242-hp 3.7L inline-five cylinder engine. Production of the 2009 HUMMER H3 SUT is slated to begin in August of 2008 at the automaker's Shreveport plant with an annual production of 35,000 units. <br /><br />Since the H3 SUT isn't a marquee product, we don't expect we'll see its official debut at the Detroit Auto Show in January. This seems like a good reveal for the Chicago Auto Show in February or the New York Auto Show in late March/early May. <br /><br />[Photos: Bob Spivey for Brenda Priddy &amp; Co.]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/11/29/spy-shots-2009-hummer-h3-sut-caught-at-baja-1000/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Spy Shots: 2009 HUMMER H3 SUT caught at Baja 1000</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/11/29/spy-shots-2009-hummer-h3-sut-caught-at-baja-1000/">Spy Shots: 2009 HUMMER H3 SUT caught at Baja 1000</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 29 Nov 2007 15:57:00 EST. To prepare for the newest expansion of HUMMER's model lineup, the General is investing $73 million in the Shreveport, LA assembly facility where the H3T will be built. In the press release included after the jump, GM was mum on specifics related to the H3T, saying only that it will be positioned between its current mid- and full-size truck offerings. The photo above depicts the 2003 H3T Concept, but based on the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/04/24/spy-shots-2009-hummer-h3t/">spy shots</a> that have surfaced over the last year, look for the the production vehicle to adopt a crew cab <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/07/26/spy-shots-hummer-h3t/">4-door configuration</a>. We expect to see both the standard-issue I5 and the H3 Alpha's 5.3L V8 available underhood.<br /><br />[Source: GM]<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2003-hummer-h3t-concept/low/">2003 HUMMER H3T Concept</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2003-hummer-h3t-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/10/03hummer_h3t_001_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2003-hummer-h3t-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/10/03hummer_h3t_002_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2003-hummer-h3t-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/10/03hummer_h3t_003_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2003-hummer-h3t-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/10/03hummer_h3t_004_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2003-hummer-h3t-concept/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/10/03hummer_h3t_005_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/10/30/hummer-h3t-coming-q3-2008/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>CONFIRMED: HUMMER H3T coming Q3 2008</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/10/30/hummer-h3t-coming-q3-2008/">CONFIRMED: HUMMER H3T coming Q3 2008</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 30 Oct 2007 13:30:00 EST. Now sales aren't looking bad at all, and with the upgraded H2 and the upcoming V8 H3, the future is looking bright for GM's bling'd-up Jeep fighter.<br /><br />Now the General is looking to add another 35,000 annual units into the Hummer sales log with the addition of the H3T, which sports four doors and a 4x4 pickup bed. Our friends over at PickupTruck.com tell us that the four door model was chosen over the <a href="http://trucks.about.com/cs/concepttrucks/a/hummer_h3t.htm">two-door concept</a> from the 2003 LA Auto Show because it was less expensive to modify the existing vehicle. The H3T cargo area will feature plenty of options for customization, including hard tonneau covers, lockable cargo covers, a removable lunch box/tool box, and various storage boxes that run either the length or width of the bed. Engine choices will be the 245 hp 3.7l, and the 295 hp 5.3l V8 from the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/03/27/2008-hummer-h3-alpha-gets-v8-power-295-horses/">H3 Alpha</a> concept. <br /><br />Production of the H3T will begin in 2008, with deliveries scheduled for the third or fourth quarter. While the two-door pickup concept from the LA show was quite the looker, we're thinking that more people would want the utility of four doors, and at only 35,000 units, we can see why doing both would be expensive.<br /><br />[Source: PickupTruck.com]<p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/04/24/spy-shots-2009-hummer-h3t/">Spy Shots: 2009 HUMMER H3T</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Tue, 24 Apr 2007 10:26:00 EST. <p class="spip" nd="1">There's no better moment than the day after Earth Day to announce a new smaller, kinder, gentler Hummer. Martin Walsh, Hummer's general manager, said "Our growth will be downwards in terms of size," and that begins with the now-official H4. Walsh also indicated there might be a smaller model than the H4 if need be.</p>
<p class="spip" nd="1">The H4 comes below the H3 in the pecking order, meant as a compact SUV to go against competitors like the Nissan Murano. As such, Walsh said the H4 would be built on an upcoming compact GM platform, but didn't say which one. As long as Hummer-philes get the same gruff styling cues and useful ability in the dirty stuff, that shouldn't be a problem. Hummer insiders are apparently fretting that GM might "go soft" with the H4, but even Walsh readily admits, "We have to offer legitimate off-road capability." </p>
<p>Last year Hummer sold 56,000 H3's and 14,000 H2's. The H4 could bump those numbers up by an additional 40,000 units. Also in the pipeline are "bio-fuel powertrains '...in every single vehicle application," an H3 SUT, and even though it was ruled out late last year, news out of Australia is that a hybrid could even be in the works. It's a new day indeed. As for the H4, sources tell us to look for a preview of it in concept guise during next year's auto show circuit, likely in Detroit.<br /></p>

Spy shots posted on LLN confirm Bob's comments about new Hummer models. This H3 captured is both longer than a standard H3 and is camouflaged in the rear. A close inspection reveals the tent work that is hiding the back of the truck sags aft of the B-pillar, indicating without a doubt there's a bed back there.<br /></p>
<p>This is obviously the SUT version of the H3, but we're still looking for the <a href="http://www.rockcrawler.com/features/newsshorts/03december/hummer_h3t.asp">H3T concept</a> to make it to production as a dedicated truck, one we'd gladly choose over a Chevy Colorado or GMC Canyon. Lutz did <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/09/29/gm-needs-hummers/">hint</a> that this was a possibility, so we're keeping our fingers crossed.<br /></p>

Because he has the new HUMMER Happy Meal toys before everyone else. <br /><br />Starting tomorrow, one of eight toy HUMMERS will be packed in each "boy" Happy Meal ("girl" meals will feature Polly Pocket, so don't fret if you've got a daughter, moms and dads). The full HUMMER lineup is represented, from the now-defunct H1 to the H3T Concept pickup. There's even an alternative-fuel H2H, whose hydrogen tank glows green when the car is pushed. It also comes with "Hydrogen" decals that can be applied to the bodywork to ensure maximum political correctness.<br /><br />Admittedly, the level of detail on the toys is pretty good for a meal throw-in. We might just have to take a ride over to Mickey D's ourselves...<br /><br />(More Ronald, toy shots, and a press release after the jump)<br /><br />[Source: GM, McDonalds]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/08/03/get-a-hummer-in-your-happy-meal/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Get a HUMMER in your Happy Meal</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2006/08/03/get-a-hummer-in-your-happy-meal/">Get a HUMMER in your Happy Meal</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 03 Aug 2006 18:02:00 EST.
