Sport Wheels grilles for Audis -- Click above for high-res image gallery

Sport Wheels presents its latest aftermarket accessory as "an interesting alternative to the standard grille." In this case, we can give the company a gold star for truth in advertising. The range of offerings spans the Audi model line from A3 (pictured) to Q7, with only difference being the addition of vertical elements in vehicles with larger grilles. Well, that and an increased resemblance to animals described by the word "baleen."

The grilles start at €530 ($756 U.S.) and go up to €630 ($899 U.S.), and then you can add another €250 ($357 U.S.) for mounting if you don't want to touch the grille yourself. If, for some reason, you want the grille to match your car's finish, that'll be another €150 ($214 U.S.). Which is a lot of money to make your car look like this, but hey, it's your money.

Gallery: Sport Wheels Audi Grilles

[Source: Sport Wheels (translated)]
Sport Wheels offers unfortunate rhinoplasty for your Audi originally appeared on Autoblog on Mon, 03 Aug 2009 14:41:00 EST.
For Wrangler owners who believe that it don't mean a thing if it ain't got that... chrome, Mopar has a delivery for you. The new chrome grille, only for the Wrangler and Wrangler Unlimited, lets you front more of the shiny stuff in case you haven't been getting the kind of attention you deserve at chi-chi establishments. It's got all the Jeep fixin's, it installs in 20 minutes, and it'll only set you back $299. Even better, according to Chrysler, it will "turn heads on the trail or at a red-carpet event." You really don't have a choice not to buy this. Follow the jump to read the full press release.

As we head toward the Independence Day holiday, let's take a few minutes to partake in that other great American repast, wasting time on YouTube. TechEBlog has gone on a surf-fest and they've dug up some interesting adaptations of one our favorite powerplants. A Hemi-powered barbeque certainly has merit, now that the summer grilling season is upon us; them's some fast burgers! Our favorite is the paper V8 with internals that actually move. Once they figure out how to get it to hold a combustion event, it'll be the ultimate lightweight block. Forestry will move at a faster pace now that there's a V8 powered chainsaw to make quick work of that pesky old growth forest. The list is altogether too short; we want to see more V8s where you'd least expect them.

[Source: TechEBlog]

V-8s turn up in the oddest places originally appeared on Autoblog on Sat, 30 Jun 2007 13:43:00 EST.
Some love it, others hate it, but everyone must concede that the dominant deep grill that has formed Audi's new corporate image is a distinctive styling feature. In.Pro takes the look a step further with its emblem-less mesh grill that gives the A6 an even bolder front fascia.

The look of In.Pro's aftermarket grill is thoroughly modern, but draws its inspiration from the Auto Union race cars that dominated competition in the 1930's.

Beyond imbuing your Audi with extra style, the stainless-steel grill also conducts more cool air into the engine bay than the standard one. The diamond-pattern mesh forms a strong and durable shape with a chrome frame and installs real easy-like.

We'll take ours on the front of a V10 Gallardo-powered S6, thank you very much.

Well, the automaker's parent company, Fuji Heavy Industries, has decided to put the kibosh on it and ordered a redesign.

According to spokesman David Rowley of Subaru, the grill will not be applied to the upcoming Liberty and Outback, which will debut in Australia in September. The upcoming Impreza, due out in 2007, will also be sporting a new proboscis. States Rowley, "It's fair to say the design will not appear on future Subarus. We had always said the aerospace theme could be applied in a variety of ways, like the way it's been presented on the Impreza and Tribeca."

Rowley would not state what the new design will be for future Subies. However, it will be based on work from (now ex-) Subaru chief designer Andreas Zapatinas. Zapatinas, as you may remember, had previously designed cars for both Alfa Romeo and Fiat.

[Source: CARSguide]
Subaru to pull a Jackson and undergo another nose job originally appeared on Autoblog on Mon, 28 Aug 2006 08:07:00 EST.
