<div style="text-align: center;"><em><strong><small>Hyundai Genesis Coupes by GReddy and Road/Race Engineering - Click above for high-res image gallery</small></strong></em></div>
<br /> While the Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang are the de facto coupes of the show, as suspected, tuners have taken a liking to Hyunda'si Genesis Coupe, with numerous modified examples peppered throughout the show floor.<br /> <br /> The 3.8-liter V6 is arguably the better driver, and the Road/Race version in the gallery below is a prime example of the kind of thoughtfully modified Genesis models we've seen while traipsing around the floor. A few minor breathing mods (intake and exhaust), coupled with a new set of wheels, upgraded discs, coilovers, a roll bar and a heavily bolstered Sparco bucket makes it a worthy track car that could pull double-duty on the street.<br /> <br /> On the other side of the equation is the GReddy modified 2.0T model hanging out at Hyundai's booth. Despite its contrived "X-Gen Street" moniker, the coupe is a nice blend of show and go, with a GReddy-sourced turbo kit that boosts output to 350 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque, dropping its 0-60 mph time to under six seconds. While the graphics package and time attack wing might be a bit much for the street, we're digging the integrated LEDs in the headlamps and the GReddy brakes and 18-inch Volk wheels speak well of its intentions. Check 'em both out in our high-res gallery below.<br /> <br /> <br /> <div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sema-2009-hyundai-genesis-coupes-by-greddy-and-road-race/low/">SEMA 2009: Hyundai Genesis Coupes by GReddy and Road/Race</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sema-2009-hyundai-genesis-coupes-by-greddy-and-road-race/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/11/01-hyundai-genesis-coupes-2009-sema_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sema-2009-hyundai-genesis-coupes-by-greddy-and-road-race/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/11/02-hyundai-genesis-coupes-2009-sema_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sema-2009-hyundai-genesis-coupes-by-greddy-and-road-race/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/11/03-hyundai-genesis-coupes-2009-sema_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sema-2009-hyundai-genesis-coupes-by-greddy-and-road-race/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/11/04-hyundai-genesis-coupes-2009-sema_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/sema-2009-hyundai-genesis-coupes-by-greddy-and-road-race/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2009/11/05-hyundai-genesis-coupes-2009-sema_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/11/05/sema-2009-hyundai-genesis-coupes-out-in-force-in-vegas/">SEMA 2009: Hyundai Genesis Coupes out in force in Vegas</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 05 Nov 2009 16:57:00 EST. <em><strong><small>GReddy X-Gen Street Genesis Coupe - Click above for a high-res image</small></strong></em></div>
<br />
For perhaps the very first time in their history, Hyundai has a vehicle platform worthy of serious performance upgrades to display at the SEMA show. The 2010 Genesis Coupe has gobs of tuning potential, especially the 2.0T model, and we fully expect the Korean automaker to have plenty of modified examples on display in their booth at the Las Vegas convention center next month. <br />
<br />
One of those cars will be the GReddy X-Gen Street Genesis Coupe you see here, and it features an upgraded version of the 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four putting out 350 horsepower and 320 lb-ft torque. The Japanese tuner has also added exterior items including front and rear spoilers and a carbon fiber hood. Below the sheetmetal, you'll find a fully adjustable coilover suspension, larger front and rear brakes, Volk Racing G2 wheels, Sparco racing seats. Of course, there's also the less-than-subtle graphics package designed in collaboration with Hyundai's design center in Southern California. <br />
<br />
After the show, GReddy is planning on doing additional modifications to push the engine to 500 horsepower, and will be selling many of the components developed for the car. Hit the jump for Hyundai's press release with all the details. <br />

LTD - the parent company of GReddy Performance Products in the U.S. - <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/10/japanese-tuning-firm-trust-greddy-declares-bankruptcy/">declared the Japanese equivalent of Chapter 11</a>. According to a release from the aftermarket parts supplier, Trust has successfully completed the reorganization process (known in Japan as Minji-Saisei-Hou) and is hoping to be completely back on its feet within the next few months. <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/12/update-greddy-in-u-s-still-good-to-go/">During the reorganization</a>, both Trust and GReddy have maintained its workforce here and abroad, developed new components, continued to produce parts and serviced its clients around the world. While we're happy to hear about GReddy's future involvement in the aftermarket, this won't be the first or last filing from a performance part supplier as the auto-apocalypse continues.<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/12/trust-successfully-reorganized-in-japan-greddy-in-the-u-s-chur/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>TRUST successfully reorganized in Japan, GReddy in the U.S. churning along</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2009/03/12/trust-successfully-reorganized-in-japan-greddy-in-the-u-s-chur/">TRUST successfully reorganized in Japan, GReddy in the U.S. churning along</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Thu, 12 Mar 2009 18:03:00 EST. That process will have "little, if any effect on GReddy Performance Products" in the U.S. GReddy plans to feature three new project vehicles at SEMA this year, and both Trust and GReddy have adequate inventory and personnel to service customers.<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/12/update-greddy-in-u-s-still-good-to-go/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>UPDATE: Greddy in U.S. still good to go</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/12/update-greddy-in-u-s-still-good-to-go/">UPDATE: Greddy in U.S. still good to go</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 12 Sep 2008 15:59:00 EST. According to various reports, Trust is approximately $60 million in debt and, after reporting a serious decline in sales since February 2008 and amassing $43 million in loan payments, filed for bankruptcy in Tokyo District Court.<br /><br />Trust has been around since 1976, employs almost 200 workers and had been dealing in everything from CARB-legal exhausts to turbo systems when Greddy Performance Products was founded in the U.S. in 1994. There are several firms that will step up to fill the need of enthusiasts, assuming that Trust doesn't try to reorganize, but with the aftermarket industry down overall, we suspect this won't be the last time we'll hear about a large tuner going under.<br /><br />[Sources: <a href="http://www.gtchannel.com/content.php?cid=30955">GTChannel</a>, <a href="http://jdm-insider.com/Blogs/Eric/?p=1045">JDMInsider</a>]<p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/10/japanese-tuning-firm-trust-greddy-declares-bankruptcy/" rel="bookmark">Continue reading <em>Japanese tuning firm Trust/Greddy declares bankruptcy</em></a></p><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/09/10/japanese-tuning-firm-trust-greddy-declares-bankruptcy/">Japanese tuning firm Trust/Greddy declares bankruptcy</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Wed, 10 Sep 2008 15:32:00 EST. The <a href="http://greddy.com/news/?id=49">2008 GReddy Garage Sale and Performance Festival</a> ended up being a pretty fun event, one of countless such organized automotive activities going on around the country on any given weekend. Seeing as how this particular day of fun was sponsored by GReddy, we were eager to see if we could spot our beloved <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/10/30/sema-2007-five-axis-yaris-club/">Five Axis Yaris Club</a>, which featured several GReddy goodies, but alas, it was nowhere to be found. We did see a bunch of GReddy-tuned goodness though, including a couple of Z-cars like the one above that were sporting that trick new <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/11/02/sema-2007-spotlight-greddy-nissan-350z-vq35hr-twin-turbo-kit/">VQ35HR twin-turbo system</a> we spotlighted at SEMA last year. If you look closely at our gallery, you'll also spot a different <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-greddy-garage-sale-and-performance-festival/659734/full/">Yaris</a> that tackled the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-greddy-garage-sale-and-performance-festival/659759/full/">autocross</a> with aplomb. Well, maybe that's a stretch. It certainly leaned a lot less than we expected through the cones. <br /><br />Check out the gallery to see for yourself. While you're there you'll also see examples of cars participating in other activities, like the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-greddy-garage-sale-and-performance-festival/659740/full/">Drift 101 demo</a> with a pair of tire-melting Silvias, the <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-greddy-garage-sale-and-performance-festival/659751/full/">Groovy Drift RC demo</a> that rivaled the action on the full-scale tracks, and the huge car club meet with dozens of <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-greddy-garage-sale-and-performance-festival/659772/full/">S2000s</a>, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-greddy-garage-sale-and-performance-festival/659760/full/">Z-cars</a>, <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-greddy-garage-sale-and-performance-festival/659752/full/">Civic Sis</a>, Evos, STis, RXes, and the like snaking down the old runways for what felt like miles. Besides those sign-then-drive activities there were vendors, a huge free raffle and a big garage sale of GReddy parts with on-site installations and tuning available. Very cool. Best of all, the event was free to all. Without further ado, here are the pics. <br /><br />***Follow this <a href="http://www.speedandmotion.com/pages/videos/greddyevent08.html">link</a> for video from the GReddy event by Duane Steiner over at SpeedAndMotion.com.***<br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-greddy-garage-sale-and-performance-festival/low/">2008 GReddy Garage Sale and Performance Festival</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-greddy-garage-sale-and-performance-festival/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/greddyeltoro---01_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-greddy-garage-sale-and-performance-festival/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/greddyeltoro---02_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-greddy-garage-sale-and-performance-festival/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/greddyeltoro---03_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-greddy-garage-sale-and-performance-festival/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/greddyeltoro---04_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/2008-greddy-garage-sale-and-performance-festival/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2008/02/greddyeltoro---05_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2008/02/24/2008-greddy-garage-sale-and-performance-festival/">2008 GReddy Garage Sale and Performance Festival</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Sun, 24 Feb 2008 10:32:00 EST. However, come 2007 Nissan decided that the single throttle body setup of the 3.5L V6 engine did not amount to the best performance (aka they had to beat BMW in the power wars) so they added another, thus producing the VQ35HR. Of course this move on Nissan's part left the aftermarket world standing still as many popular performance products, particularly forced induction systems, developed for the VQ35DE did not translate to the HR version. That is why Greddy's new 350Z turbo kit caught our eye at the 2007 SEMA Show. It is the first available forced induction system for the VQ35HR powerplant. The kit uses cast iron exhaust manifolds, Greddy's own turbochargers, twin entry and exit intercooler along and Greddy's E-Manage engine management system that piggybacks on the Nissan ECU. Greddy claims it is good for 700-plus horsepower. Of course, that would come with proper engine tuning and stronger internal engine components, particularly connecting rods. <br /><br /><div class="postgallery"><p><strong>Gallery: <a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/greddy-350z-twin-turbo-kit/low/">Greddy 350Z Twin Turbo Kit</a></strong></p><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/greddy-350z-twin-turbo-kit/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/11/greddy1_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/greddy-350z-twin-turbo-kit/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/11/greddy2_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/greddy-350z-twin-turbo-kit/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/11/greddy3_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/greddy-350z-twin-turbo-kit/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/11/greddy4_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/photos/greddy-350z-twin-turbo-kit/low/"><img src="http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2007/11/greddy5_thumbnail.jpg" alt="" title="" /></a></div><p style="padding:5px;background:#ddd;border:1px solid #ccc;clear:both;"><a href="http://www.autoblog.com/2007/11/02/sema-2007-spotlight-greddy-nissan-350z-vq35hr-twin-turbo-kit/">SEMA 2007 Spotlight: Greddy Nissan 350Z VQ35HR twin turbo kit</a> originally appeared on <a href="http://www.autoblog.com">Autoblog</a> on Fri, 02 Nov 2007 19:03:00 EST.
